I started learning Davinci like 2 weeks ago and youre definatly my go to guy for tutorials.

Loved key framing the hue to go through the range of colors on the clip. Also the trail length adjustment was extremely trippy. Very nice. Thanks, Jamie.

da vinci without fusion is like pizza without cheese. its so advanced and useful. loved the tutorial and especially the random drip effect. the random drip effect with swirl effect as a intro or transition is just 😯 😯

Wow! I was wondering how to do the wavy thing a few weeks ago but sometimes it seems you have to search the right effect or start searching through the effects. Thanks for that one and all the others. Great quick clip!

Glad I could help!

I like duplicating a clip twice, and stacking them. above the original. Then I offset the middle layer a few hundred milliseconds, and the top layer about 600 milliseconds. Then I make both those layers semi transparent. Then adjust layer and colour properties. of those two layers to add a makeshift motion trails that are colourful. A difference layer often produces trippy results. You can also add tons of layers, offsetting them incrimentally for a long trippy trail. Start keying out certain colors and it gets really crazy. Also love pixel sorting, but doesn't come natively in resolve.

I really liked all of them, but my favorites were the drip and waviness effects.

Wow, it must be difficult to choose which of the many effects that you have done tutorials on to use in a project. For me it would be like choosing what to watch on netflix, or searching for the perfect sound effect. Not sure where you come up with all these cool Fusion ideas, but seems to be a large well to pull from. If I ever need to do this kind of stuff, I know who's channel to peruse to find something cool. I actually had a music video where that hue cycle would have been great to use. It was a live concert video where all the long and medium focal lengths were shot during a concert and then the close-ups and solos and stuff was shot the next day on the same stage. Unfortunately there was no lighting operators booked so they just left lights on for the close-ups - So I ended up using light leaks to make it look like the lighting was changing. Your method there probably would have worked better and with a lot less effort. Great stuff Jamie, I always am impressed with your thinking outside the box approaches. cheers

I always try and think outside the box. That's where the best results come from in my opinion!! Honestly, sometimes I just sit down and mess around with the tools and BAM an idea comes into my head with the theme of the effect's I create. I feel like I could tinker forever with the tools in fusion... sometimes I need to pull away because I could go on and on hahaha. And yea that hue effect is super simple yet insanely effective, (pretty much like most of these effects) I feel sometimes people can become overwhelmed in fusion so I tried to keep this one simple. With that said, thanks again for your feedback. Looking forward to your future comments :)

That drip effect is killer. Can't we now see the audio waveform in fusion (I haven't played with it but saw it mentioned) which would help keyframe to the beats.

there are not enough such analyses. Often you have to be sophisticated in order to navigate the knowledge of the effects with which you can have fun. I would like more of these styles with different effects. Maybe with combinations of several effects

I just realized that's where Davinci (Fusion) lacks. When editing in Fusion you don't have access to an audio track to literally tell where hits are.
