Basically you try to get your stone as close to the center of the ring as possible. Points are avoided for every stoke that beats the opponents best stone in center-proximity

But I suppose to you Edward...or Teddy as your mom calls you... Golf is just a stupid sport , chasing around a white ball to put in a hole. Or hockey is a bunch of guys who will fight if need be, to put a piece of rubber in a net... or basketball...etc...etc...

Most of these were great, but two of them were just placing the stone in the middle of the house with no obstacles and a large margin of error. Anybody who takes part in the Olympics ought to be able to do that.

theyre on the "impressive" list because those draws were for the win of each of those games and they made the shots, even under the pressure/stress.

Yes and if the opponent doesn't get any points it's a ''clean'' victory.

Whatever else.. This sport is a real expression of dedication to precision and perfection.

With due respect to Jennifer Jones and Eve Muirhead, an open draw to the button (one with backing) doesn't qualify as a "most impressive" shot. Both these teams and skips have made much better shots 10 times over. Figure it out!

I didn't know nothing about this sport prior to these olympic games. But then, I started to watch it a little bit while working from home recently and yeah, surprisingly it can be quite untertaining. It could definitely be a nice setting for an exciting manga.

I don’t even know the name of this sport. But I always find it very entertaining to watch.

I think they should add an element of danger to this. Penguins and polar bears in the arena. It would really boost the viewing figures.

I'm sorry, but a Skip's draw to the button (and these examples could have been just to Full 4) without any guard up front is table stakes. At an Olympic level, a draw to the button by a Skip with sweepers assisting shouldn't be that impressive. That’s the difference between Gold and going home with nothing.

How exactly are open button shots "The most impressive curling shots in Olympic history"? If you can't hit these shots you should be watchin the games from home.

Curling kinda reminds of the 70s German TV game series Telematch. Not really a sport but was fun to watch.

Scotland has two teams into the final...we have to do Olympics as part of 'Team GB' but both teams are Scottish.

Wasn't a fan of curling before the 2018 Olympics, but watched the gold medal game and that 5-pt end is one my top 2 all-time Winter Olympic memories. My #1 being the 1980 semifinals men's "miracle" hockey game between the US and USSR.
