ROFL !! That is what I was going to post, as well ! I can't imagine how many times I groomed a horse on the racetracks, and picked hooves clean, then sat down to take a break and ate something with never a thought to wash hands first. Now, it's so much habit.

It's because wormer doesn't kill immature fluke or the eggs. I had to fluke my cattle when they came in because a lot of them were coughing. I'll do them again in February 60 days apart.

Hello Tom ! Seeing you drone standing at the background let me think about your use of this tool. Do you use it only for your videos (that are so great) or do you use it also sometimes as a tool to observe and monitor your herd when they are grazing ?

I worm them once they are in 3 weeks I was always told once they are in 2 weeks you can worm them and you will kill everything so I give it a extra week love you videos tom

Nice video, I don't know if there still about but in my country we have a patch you can safely glue on the back same spot filled with a red dye so when other cow jumps on it breaks and much easier to see but don't know if there any around maybe worth a go. Why don'y you get jo a fiendly new born calf and get her with your help to raise it might help the fear.

Waiting to de-worm could be that the dewormer product doesn't work as well on the baby worms. So the idea is to wait a little for the worms to grow and then all of them get eradicated. That makes for better success academically. But as your experience shows in reality it causes the worms to detract from the cows a bit more than desired.

I’m American. My first job, starting just shy of my 17th birthday in 2003, was at a feedmill. I worked there until 2010. A slow day was 400 tons of hog or chicken feed. I knew plenty of dairy farmers by proxy I was managing the bagged goods warehouse in addition to assisting with feed production. Despite there being an Ocean between us…the similarities in the industry…there’s just some things that don’t change. Tom, you remind me of some of the farmers are used to share beers with. Happy to see you humanizing farming like this!
