The Magic School Bus ran from 1994-1997 and ended in 1997 when Caillou came out in 1997 in Canada and USA in 2000

you know there’s a problem with the show if the baby is the better character. Rosie hardly talks and she’s not like Stewie where she is ironically a baby. She’s just a normal little baby, who claps and babbles. And yet she is the only one who doesn’t cause trouble for anyone but gets so much crap from Caillou.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I thought the mid 2000's Caillou was pretty good, so much better than the original. And yes, I'm talking about the version where he started wearing that red cap and wasn't as mean to Rosie as in the original. In Bluey, her parents, Bandit and Chilli have their own personalities and struggles of been parents. They also have moments in some episodes where they have lessons to learn for themselves and some really significant character development.

Discipline is abuse

When I saw this show as a toddler it made feel emotions that I didn’t fully understand at the time. Now that I am older I know what those emotions I felt really were… HATE!!! I still can’t believe that this show was developed by a child psychologist. Yes, toddlers do have under developed communication skills that are accurately portrayed in Caillou but there is one thing that REAL children do that separates this show from reality… LEARN!!! No matter how young you are as a child you still have the ability to learn and feel regret for past actions. Even babies as young as 2 years old are capable of developing and learning how to behave and is the reason why we have shows like this in the first place. Saying that this accurately depicts the behavioral development of children is undermining and insulting to the intelligence of young people.

​@@yasirabdi1622Like all kids, he throws temper tantrums once in a while. But unlike most kids, he isn't reprimanded for it. Take a great kid show like Bluey. When the kids act out, they get reprimanded. Or at least told that sort of behavior is unacceptable, and why.

Actually tere are at least a few instances where the parents tell him to stop Also Sometimes there is no need for reprimanded or yelling at your kid Parents are meant to help kids not to yell at them!

​@@yasirabdi1622 Disciplining a child for misbehaving does mot mean yelling at the child. Yelling at a kid causes more problems then it solves. Hypothetically if I was still a kid (I am 27) and if I was using dishes as Frisbees shattering them against the wall, my parents would likely ground me for a week to show that what I did was wrong. Alternatively you could put a kid on time out, and if the kid is calm and not going through a full blown meltdown, a parent may be able to calmly explain to the kid why what they did was wrong as children are more likely to correct their behavior in response to calm discourse instead of if they are yelled at. And as a joke, to paraphrase Your Favorite Martian, you could always "Spank your kid with a chainsaw." Look up Whip your Kids by that band if you havent already actually pretty funny.

There are times where Peppa can get bratty at times, but she does some really nice things and often apologize every time she does something bad.

Don't get me wrong, Peppa Pig is just as bad as Caillou since it also gives potentially harmful messages but at least Peppa Pig is funny.

I was born in 1996 and for as long as I could remember our family would hang out with another, due to their youngest son and my older brother going back as far as basically being born together. Their youngest son, Jereme (yeah that's right, I'm name-dropping you) treated me like garbage throughout most of my time knowing him, with my brother typically playing along as he has never been the fondest of me either. Bottom line, I was for years what they call a "butt monkey". I finally had enough after graduating high school in 2015. That year I had some crippling mental health issues due to insane OCD (for an example, I could barely even pour myself coffee without having to do it over and over) and borderline paranoid levels of anxiety. As such my grades suffered tremendously by the time I graduated. It was a pretty shitty time to be alive. After the fact, Jereme one night began taunting me about this, denying i had any issues with mental health and that I only struggled in school because I was lazy and unmotivated. I got livid, proceeded to give the most scathing "why you suck" speech i'll probably ever give right to his face, and to this day I have cut him from my life. Where am I going with this? Why am I sharing? Jereme LOVED Caillou in his youth (with my parents being skeptical about it due to the little bald shit's behavior). I am as certain as certain can be that this show helped form his entitled mindsets and god complex.

Caillou the grown up is the most accurate sequel ever.

The Caillou ‘new’ adventures make him less like a brat, instead being an idiot, stealing candy, literally snatching his sister’s crayons but however that could’ve not happened if he paid more attention.

"Pingu" executed the whole "big brother/jealous sibling" schtick a *zillion* times better than this. Caillou wasn't here *even* ignored by his parents. And him assaulting his newborn sister deserves the world's *greatest* punishment!

Man I remember those Grounded videos from when I was in 4th and 5th grade, I used to bingewatch those every weekend.

He was mean little boy who used to hit his sister pull her hair, pinch her all over. Kid was going to grow up to be serial killer

Even that channel AOK made fun of Caillou being a grown up, still annoying his father.

I remember as a kid my parents made me stop watching caillou because he was a bad influence but I said he wasn’t now I realize he’s the worst influence for a child

You should have also saw that one video where Caillou calls his black friend Clementine a mean word and his mother just had a little talk with him. No punishment

Even as a 4-year-old, I hated this show. Every time I watched it, I was always questioning, “Why is he whining?”. Caillou is a show for no one. Also, I noticed that the backgrounds aren’t even filled in all the way. Why is that? I’ve always hated it, when I have kids they are not watching it, so on. My mom also didn’t like this show either, even though she did let me watch it. Every time Caillou was being annoying, I knew that I wasn’t supposed to reenact what he did.

I don't blame the teddy bear either for like to be with Caillou.

Caillou grew up and eventually became Dr. Evil.

I can't be the only one that grew up watch Caillou as a kid for years, remember it well, have somewhat known about the more recent series and JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE THING WAS STORY TOLD TO SOMEONE'S KIDS. I literally never seen that segment

My favorite character on that show was Gilbert because he’s a cat and that he has to go through all that whining and brattiness and tantrums in that household and me wishing that he would get out of there.
