89 for the nes,returns for the snes,batman and Robin arcade on PS1. There were plenty of good movie tie ins. Just no modern way to play em.

I'm glad to see love for Origins. All 4 Arkham games were fun and well done. A great story for Batman in videogames.

I don't know why people were complaining that almost all the mechanics were taken from city, like okay ? So ? It's just more of the same amazing mechanics from city.

They used most of City's assets because Rocksteady were consultants on the game and they were limited to what they could use so they just used most of City's assets minus the wall that blocked off the rest of Gotham and there is also the Shock Gloves that give you the ability to perform 2 special combo moves back to back and the ability to counter usually uncounterable attacks like shields and stun sticks

Because it does nothing that stands on its own, City was great because it improved everything Asylum set up, and while I didn’t like Knight that much, the combat and stealth is an improvement from City Origins doesn’t have anything innovative, aside from the story and cutscenes.

@@apexsmokepacker i don't like that it's mandatory. Make a catwoman dlc and we'll be fine. That's just my opinion, my likes and dislikes. If you like catwoman that's fine, but if i was obligated to play as someone other than Bats i'd rather have Dick or Tim

You know, the Arkham Games were the first time I ever even thought of superheroes outside of Spiderman (the Sam Rami movies with Toby). And when Arkham Knight came out, people were so disappointed on how the Arkham Knight was Jason Todd, but as a total noob to the mythos, it was perfectly fine to me. Hell, I didn't even know who the fuck Jason Todd was in general, but the game provided the context of him being a former Robin that Joker tortured. I think Arkham Knight really helped that casual audience get to know these characters and established fans of Batman didn't see that because they already know most characters. I didn't know who Red Hood was (outside that he was someone who used guns I guess), never knew the individual names for the Robins (except Tim Drake due to Arkham City), never knew that Oracle was Batgirl and that Joker crippled her (in most canon continuities anyway). I think many fans forgot that it wasn't just for old fans, it was to bring in new ones, and it did that perfectly with people like me. The Batmobile in Knight still sucks though lol. After the first playthrough, that shit is a drag, respectfully.

The Arkham knight was so disappointing for me. I was saving his boss fight for the near end and man was it a let down

Though city and Asylum are my favorites. 0:26 we have that in common batman is my favorite superhero of all time because of this series until then I'd watch the shows passively. Knight is still the best from a technical standpoint. The best visual combat, stealth and traversal is the best it's ever been love it or hate it the batmobile is a well crafted vehicle being my view. The game is held back by the lack of bosses. Origins is more arkham city and the enemy types are fantastic the Brutes and martial artist and bossfight. I just love the whole series flaws and all.

Although I personally like Knight the most, all these games are phenomenal! This series in it's entirety is within my top games of all time. Crazy how Rocksteady and WB went 4/4 with masterpieces. Thank god this series didn't get ruined by some unasked for live service game...

Arkham Knight had a huge reliance on the Batmobile, a piss poor story, boring side missions aside from Pyg at best and the DLC expansions, horrible boss fights and DLC storylines were complete ass

I agree that Jason Todd could have been handled better, but I still personally enjoyed his inclusion in the story. You’re just dead wrong about Scarecrow. He was a great villain, and the actor who played him was excellent. I do agree that the Joker blood plotline had some problems, but it didn’t ruin the game. I agree with your last two points. They completely wasted Azrael and Hush, and the Batfamily.

i got the arkhan saga on sale a month ago and got origins as a bonus for myself and glitches aside origins is a realy good game.

I love Arkham Origins & I really think it deserves more love, But at the same time I have an inmanse Beef & Hate to what that game did to Deathstroke's reputation, Thanks to that game most people just see him as a weak One off & One Dimensional Batman Villain than the Great & Comolex Anti-Hero he truly is, good thing Arrow came the same year & at least bust some respect to my Boy Slade 💙🧡

I would have loved to see WB Montreal's original idea for the Suicide Squad game. After watching the few teasers in Origins and Blackgate it probably would have been fun. Hell, it definitely would have been better than the absolute disappointment and disaster we ended up getting. Good video 👏🏻

Nah the first 50 seconds of this video is nothing but straight BARS. Those games are so perfect. Now the most foundational stuff to my love of heroes is like, Batman Lego, Raimi Spidey, Batman Begins. But I first played Asylum in middle school and these games def deepened my love of Batman and superheroes as a whole. LOVE those games so much. I still got some DC animated movies and classic tv to watch, but Teen Titans, Young Justice, DCAMU films I'm workin through, comic stories, just so much HEEEEAAATTT. Like dude idk what I'd be like without em. Edit: the spittin continued. And I'm sure it's gonna. Why haven't they remastered Origins

And knight version was just a mental perspective of the Joker from each infected. However, was hoping that Scares crow fear gas affect with titan would had turn you into that what you fear as oppsite to Scraecrow in Animeted sersis season 4 where it remove your fear to being careless. The cloud buster turn may civilians into monsters (mental not physically) across street of Gothams before going with ace facility bomb plan.

At most, I would love to see 2 more Arkham games 1 set between AO & AA The other be a AK sequel where you play as Batman Beyond I also want a Superman game… COME ON!!!

I had to drop a 2nd comment at the end cause MY MANS COOKED!!! This video just perfectly articulates all the dope things about the franchise and all the pitfalls and like- idk man. Just some straight fire. The game clips you chose to put in this vid were immaculate. That ending??? banger. Also I had no idea how hard the modders went on this game since I only got consoles. Just a massive dub, and thanks for makin this video. TLDR This video just a flawless freeflow combo tbh.

NGL, AO is my favorite from a gameplay standpoint. 100 to 1 is my favorite challenge map, I loved the new enemy types, and it still had that AC feel. AK had tons of gameplay, but none of it feels as fun as it as addicting as AO is to me.

The biggest question what the Arkham series would have been if Paul Dini wrote the Harley Quinn’s revenge dlc and knight storylines? Also the reason why I don’t have Arkham origins is the black mask joker twist why I hated. I also think there should been more then a one night storyline for all the games.

Arkham Origins is unbelievably underrated. The villains are great, the tone is amazing. The fact it takes place on Christmas is fire. There’s anger in it, which I love. And yes the music is fireee

Origins also had a cool multiplayer mode that I wish was expanded upon in Arkham knight, would’ve been cool to be in the militia or Harley’s gang fighting one another

14:45 the story didn't allow for boss fights, in knight bruce is at his peak strength and speed where by the only character who had a chance in combat with him was killer croc's mutated body, if u played the city lockdown game and origins and read some tie in comics you clearly see how batman is slowly surpassing slade and the finale in knight shows the end of their rivalry and batman as the winner. it wasn't surprising to me cuz i was expecting something of that nature due to how their fights kept ending and how strong arkham batman keeps on getting, so in lore no major boss fights are understandable since hes just too strong for anybody but croc and ivy, but on a gameplay view point yeah disappointing still i enjoyed the albert king and killer croc fights but i really hoped for a ras boss fight after reviving him, missed opportunity imo

I personally don't mind the batmobile tank fights. If there was a video game with just that type of combat, I wouldn't mind but the thing is, I wanna be Batman. I wanna do hand to hand combat fights as batman and do predator stealth as batman. I only wanna use the batmobile for traversal.

I liked the all the Arkham Batman games, that even includes Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins: Blackgate. I’ve been a Batman fan since I was 4 years old. I grew up watching Batman TAS when it originally aired. I also read a ton of Batman comics too.

My only real problem with origins is it doesn’t fit with the central theme of the three main Arkham games (If people want to hear me yap about that theme I’m willing to) however I think if origins got two sequels it would have had the opportunity to tie in to the themes.

I think "Hated" is a BIT of an overstatement... Especially for Origins... They certainly weren't as loved as their predecessors, of course, by Most(Even though they're my third favorite and favorite games of the franchise), they were mostly just seen as slightly less good than the first two...

The Deathstroke boss battle was hell! I wouldn't have beaten the game if I gave up. But after that, the rest of the game is enjoyable.

Arkham origins came out my freshman year of highschool and me and my friends were so into it bc we were fiending for a new Batman game So bad. I’m very glad that the general consensus is now that it was good after seeing how bad things could get with to kill the justice league and Gotham knights.

I love Arkham Origins and think it's one of the best games to play around Xmas! Lol. It deserves a remaster or port!

Honestly I just want origins ported. I want to play it. Also I think Gotham knights was fun also I haven’t played suicide squad but it looks like fun and the whole Batman death makes sense to me as you shoot bullets at him and the death is probably a death screen for him I mean the death screens show that you are semi conscious.

Origins is probably my favorite but I love all of them.

Asylum and city may have their best storytelling and mechanics. But origins have the best boss fights and you lets face deathstroke one on one with no henchman backing him up. And knight may have its flaws but at least you move, fight, and glide like batman

It's also because that Christopher Drake the person that did the soundtracks for the game doesn't work at WB anymore so they would be risking copyright if they just reused the soundtracks without his permission and they don't want to go out of their way to create new soundtracks for the game

Knight is great, but that Deathstroke "boss fight" is genuinely one of the stupidest decisions in an game ever, they were definitely trolling with that. And the story is probably one of the worst Batman stories ever, it's down there with the dark Knight strikes back and All-Star, its on par with suicide squad ktjl, that bad.

I had my complaints with Arkham Knight like the mid ass story, overuse of The Batmobile and the Jason Todd butchering, but anyone who outright hates the game are absolutley insane.

Its still a phenomenal game all around just a weaker story compared to City. I think City and Origins have the best stories. Asylum was solid story wise but the final boss needs some major improvement.

Yeah I hate to say it being it's not a bad game. But knight was unplayable for me. And it's all cause of that stupid clunky POS not batmobile you have to babysit. It was IMPOSSIBLE to have fun bumping and crashing into shit when I could just get out the stupid thing and travel as batman himself. But the game wouldn't let you. Also was never a fan of the tumbler tank idea. It could be fun if I could use the 89 or tas car but pretty sure you gotta beat the game to do that and that just wasn't happening with me.

Arkham Knight's Batman seemed dumb. Joker faked Jason Todd's death, on camera, and it fooled this Batman. Why didn't Joker actually kill Jason and use a Lazarus Pit? The combat was good, but the game made using the freaking Batmobile not fun.

The worst moment from the worst Arkham game is better than the best moment from the meh Telltale Batman games.
