The one gripe I have for PGR Is the fact that They locked out Vital Character Skills and game mechanics behind The character Shard system, It mostly applies to S rank units since you can't farm them in interlude, Do note most of the early S rank characters Shard upgrade isn't that drastic that it makes it necessary, mostly 2nd gen unit that does like S selena who have passive energy Charging mechanics only after you SSS+ her.

Selena capris isnt really a 2nd gen imo 2nd gen only start on like abysstigma But most unit are playable on SS3 or heck even SS , higher than thay is usually dmg lock

The downside of having f2p friendly gacha is having a low revenue on global especially on non omn s rank banners unfortunately. I hope players financially support this game so kuro wouldn't think of pulling a plug on global

@@broccoli5176 Know its kind of a dated response, but i would like to believe Miho-verse mostly makes its profits via FOMO strangling and burning a large portion of it towards advertisements, multiple projects to likely FOMO strangulate more and rinse and repeat. While Kurogames as far as i can tell with P:GR, aims more for the quality product by not demanding as much for the BASE values and it only when you wanna go down the rabbit hole further on the gacha, that it appears more expensive, despite certain `other` companies would demand several magnitudes more and force 5 times the greediness that even Miho-verse imploys in its FOMO gacha, even when said game on these other companies are of significantly less polish and some assets being stolen, knock offs of particular media or even look like literal A.I. Art. Even if a game supposedly makes LESS then another game, the former could end up having way more profit because they end up having significantly less expenditures, meaning they don`t need a higher earnings margin as the latter game. Its basically why frik-tons of particular media, bomb insanely hard because of poor mismanagement of funding and arrogant beliefs that they will make insanely good profit margins that will not only recoup the costs but also cover the profits that a number of investors demand that likely is several magnitudes higher then what they invested into said media. Never the less, i feel the only reason why Honkai impact 3rd and Genshin impact have such good levels of popularity is because they don`t get enough competitors to make up for coming late to the party and the later because they got quite a stranglehold on advertisements since you end up seeing 10+ ads on genshin each day compared to any other mobile game, even when i am just doing casual browsing on youtube videos. Hence why as more games with highly polished design like Wuthering waves comes out and Genshin continues to `stall` on actually mass QoLing its grind design, more of its playerbase will bleed out... ..including the FOMO individuals who start seeing newer games with a much better design, plays alot more effectively even on lower spec devices and then its quality gameplay that Genshin is forced to admit it needs to up its game on, or no amount of advertising will keep it afloat, if its terrible long-burn out design to leveling units does not change in any way whatsoever.

Well no. Gear and character rank ups are also important if you want to compete on the higher level of the leaderboards. If you don't have any of the good stuff you can be good at the game but it won't take you to far. This applies to most games that exist especially if they have RPG elements.

As someone who plays PGR and Honkai I tell that Honkai character without their signature weapon is painful to play, HoF for example has aerial combo and she cannot do weapon attack skill except with her own sign weapon while in the air While PGR characters sign weapon mostly gives passive skills, weapon doesn't not give extra attack moves mostly stats boost

If you know how the characters work, it kinda removes the rng part of the gameplay, that's why it's skill based, you have to manage your orbs in real time and dodging is a core part to learn....

​@@adamsalik7389 i was half joking anyways, but the orbs at the start of the battle is still important if u want to get the optimal rotations and higher score, this includes warzone and especially ppc. example like nuking with alpha (if SS u need either 1 blue orb + 3 red orb or 3 blue orb + 1 red orb) and others.

PGR has a high skill level, heck even if you have a character that surpasses the recommended bp for the boss fight you'll still struggle if you dont memorize the attack patterns and time your dodges, matrix, qte, orbs, core passives and signatures.

Same reason i quit, tried to stay for the characters and the story but yeah its unbearable

After Max Rank and level in both genshin and honkai I just got all the idea "Just play it your way do what you enjoy pull the characters is doesn't have to be stronge and take time off something So you dont feel bown out

Unless there's a huge emphasis on the competitiveness of HI3, I'd say it's still F2P, they pretty often have events that just hand out S-Ranks and equipments like flyers. A guaranteed 5 star equipment or artifact is only within 10 pulls so that's not bad even if it's not guaranteed to be the focus on the supply so just save up some crystals and you'll be fine for the most part. Most of the S-Ranks are also grindable and you don't really need much for their gears. Then again, I'm a huge casual of the game. So, if you're really competitive, get ready to pull out your credit cards I guess

Clearly y’all never experienced getting no focused gear at all in 50 pull XD But I guess it’s kind of a spiral : if you want more currency, you to play meta, which means pull every single valk and gears each update, which means you need more currency MA is ok but the crystal revenue between the different tier in abyss is huge.

I love Hi3rd, and play pgr as well, so yeah, pgr is definitely the best for f2p to pull charas and gear. Tho if u mean the means for players to play through and enjoy the story and events, then theyre about the same tbh

Guardian tales is very underrated f2p gacha and it rarely gets any attention :(

My only problem with playing PGR is my skill issue. Commandant Lvl 70 and still can't complete TC-A licensing examination within 60s

Hence why I will take doing full rando resonance chasing on PGR for memories over artifact affix chasing on Genshin any time. PGR has more flexibility on what works, less of a spread of random stats, allows rerolling DIRECTLY, without needing an entirely new piece of gear and even if I don’t get a perfect line up for all 12 affixes outta the 6 memories. It’s still better then chasing 3 outta 5 artifact main line stats, 2 outta 4 outta 5 artifacts substat being useful and then having 3 outta the 5 or something level ups to the sub stats land on those 2 outta 4 sub stats for each of the 5 artifacts. Atleast god damn Riven mods on warframe gave me the option to revert the refill stats, even if they changed the values every version based on weapon popularity. Plus I could of just farmed tens or even hundreds of thousands of ‘kuva’, to spam rerolls even at the max 3k cost per roll, Genshin locks you in so much resource starvation to bully you to spend. Just goes to show a long grind in a game works best in a f2p mmo’like without stamina way better then a mobile game. Oh yeah did I forget to mention PGR straight up let’s you free farm resonance selectors for those random memories so you can ‘fix’ bad rolls directly at an easy 2 to maybe 4 selectors per version, without spending? Gonna be funny when Genshin decides to sell something like that but tries to force people to spend 30 bucks or more to change a single affix on a artifact outta 5.

The biggest problem with the artifacts in Genshin is not just that they are almost entirely random but also that Genshin's "end game" is trash. The spiral abyss is just a worse version of the Honkai Impact abyss. It's not competitive in the slightest and doesn't offer any unique experiences like the Honkai abyss where there at least each boss at the final floor has unique movesets and mechanics. The enemies on Genshin Spiral Abyss are just copy pasted from the open world with more health and attack.

@@petros843 yeah and compere to pgr the gameplay in honkai and genshin get to boring because you need to follow a specific rotation with your team and repeat again and again till the boss is dead in honkai it gets to the point where you never afraid of death unlike in pgr where you need to dodge to stay alive and ping the orbs.

That last one need unlimited farming time.

As someone who play on all version/servers (Global, JP and Cn) of PUNISHING Gray Raven , this video is way too accurate. For those who play on the cn server the developers are linking our ass at the beginning and still doing it at each new characters events or anniversary. And still planning it 😂. Tips from me a causal player: you feel unlucky for not having the S desired characters don't worry. You can farm for some S ones and promote A characters to S - SS easily 😊 And those A to SS are still good. you not stick to the metha for higher score BUUUUT you will have fun for sur😊👍

Those maps are so small and enemies die too soon that's the issue otherwise game is good

And if you want a six-star weapon you either try to get 3 six star weapons to convert them to a specific weapon you want or get the luck of 4% for your weapon of choice total of 5% six-star weapon. I think you are just better off spending black cards on your main character to try SSS+ it with your 5 star weapon

hmmm.... same could be said about PGR, but still, Honkai used to be a fking fanservice sexy anime girl cash grab, but still nowadays, and for 80+ captains, it is just "participate in events and you get xtals free everywhere... still, of PGR comes to PC, i may add it to the games I play

Its not the most f2p since gacha system in Priconne require 200 pulls to be able to exchange the featured unit. But the dev really generous when it comes to gacha currency, farmable unit's shard and weapon. Also I don't think global shutdown because of that. Mostly its because how big the JP server contents gap between global. Its more than 2 years content difference. Some player might moved to JP server because of this which result in lesser revenue.

As a pgr,honkai,ark and genshin player, Pgr is the most f2p gacha game of all Honkai has an abyss endgame really meta-aggressive. Artifacts-stigma-set are gacha. Weapons gacha Pgr everything is basically farmable with patience and partecipating events Genshin has characters which are basically useless unless you spend months to build them with rng artifact system which is horrible, you can farm even for 1 year withouth making any progress.

Yea, exactly. And it's not as censored as the rest, because they know what their fellow cultured weebs like and know it's what sells so they go all out on skins and the appearance of characters, and the cost for those skins is affordable, and sometimes you can earn free skins which is something none of those other games will do for you, genshins very limited skins aren't worth it because you cant even appreciate the appearance because they basically cloak their characters in granny panties and hide all cleavage, and turn your character invisible if you try to appreciate the lower half of your character, so genshin/hoyo is uncuktured swine and greedy filthy pigs who also don't care about their players being the reason they have so much money and success, they gave a piece of chicken for an anniversary reward, unlike azur lane who gives you either special currency, skins, character pull currency, or even new characters, and goes all out on making you feel appreciated for all your support, it's a beautiful game with the devs truly caring about their players and even knowing what their players like and giving it to them ten fold. Azur lanes player base is legit thee most satisfied and happy community out there, there's basically no complaints, and i am a big fan of it, and simp for every single waifu in that game, it's cultured for adult weebs and isn't a little kid game, and the rates are amazing, and you can play as much as you want, unlike other games, especially genshin who makes you pay up to play a "free to play" game, when without resin there's literally nothing to do and the only content in the game worth anything is the hangout events and romantic character dialogue with your male mc and the waifus, as well as the hot appearance of those waifus, which is no longer worth it since the games become almost little kid focused and censored to hot garbage, losing almost all of its original player base who actually spent money before they censored it and scammed you to high shit, the gacha system is thee worst in all history of gacha games, I've had better luck with FGO, and they treat their players who have gave them so much money and or popularity, like trash. Genshin imo is thee absolute worst and most scummy game out there and mihoyo is the worst company ever, and I used to love the game so much untill I realized just how bad it really was and after so long of playing it and seeing how little they cared for their players, and how much time and money was wasted on a game with no future, I gave up on it and would honestly urge anyone who is interested in genshin to do the same. Azur Lane is my favorite, as well as Ark Knights, Blue Archive, Nikke Goddess Of Victory, and even fgo (if your a fan of fate series and like a game that has alot of story's and want to kill time), I'd recommend those to anyone who wants to have fun and be content, but to stay away from genshin entirely and anything from the company mihoyo. But yeah Azur Lane is top dog here, always will be!

the actual pain is how slow you get the torus for pri-arms after you got all the equipment, i still can't max the weapons for the trio, and now susanah joined on the waiting room. I hate the pri-arm system, weapons should be maxed at lvl 50.

I guess nobody likes Epic 7 and Eversoul…

Honestly, Genshin's progression didn't need to be this shit. Not at all. They could just make the Artifacts craftable and make them customizable with items of dungeons or things like that, not RNG...

Well no not all of Honkai gear is gacha. There are plenty of characters and stigmata that are farmable and are good options for alternatives or like the Handel stigma set which is the primary option for Lightning dps and Eden. I am not gonna say that PGR doesn't have a better system when it comes to farmable gear but saying that all important Honkai gear is locked behind gacha is just not true.

Problem is , said gears might take take months to farm , G4 stigmas specially cuz you'll need exceptional teams to farm their materials on UM wich lead many to rather pull the gacha

@@lovelessshoot883 You can get rid of the team problem completely by having someone else help you with the clears and even floor 7 on Mirage isn't that hard if you have a semi decent team and know how to play the game for the first clear that you need to do solo. I was able to clear Mirage stages like that way before lvl 80 not even exalted by the time I hit exalted I was overpowerd for Mirage. Mind you I am not f2p but I am not a whale either but I have seen F2Ps do it to. Again I will say that I think PGR's system is overall better but that is not my arguement. The video claimed that it is straight up not possible to farm gears and characters in Honkai which is not true and with the latest changes to leveling and the amount of free stuff that Hoyo gives to new players right now it might be even easier to farm Mirage now from when me and my friends started playing.

@@SG-Raven Depends on what you mean relevant. The latest gear releases only matter for Redlotus Abyss and above for exalted. You can go to Agony 3 Abyss with f2p gear like JST, Margrave and Leewuenhoek with Thales M. If your goal is to reach top 100 Myriad on Abyss then yeah the f2p won't be enough of course but that applies literally to every gacha out there with a ranking system.

FGO is f2p because of Cu,CasCu,Robin,David,Andersen. And some extras but this is what have been making the game dead easy for me so far. Skadi merlin and Castoria doesn't count

for F2Pness for each game Honkai = you grind Genshin = you grind a lot like really really a lot PGR = you grinding a bit but if you want to be in meta, you grind harder but not as hard as HI3

Honkai and PGR is more alike, is that just Honkai gives of their special currency to their abyss that's why you really need to grind it. PGR on the other hand gives a little like 100 for me is skipabble 😀

@@GaChaChu No??? 1) PGR competitive modes dont reward BP so BP intake is consistent 2) PGR characters perfectly work without signature weapons so that is much more consistent too 3) PGR S ranks come every 2-3 months and every player earns around 7k BC each month so you are actually having more than enough to get a frame to even have spare pulls for their weapons Now for Honkai 1) entire game is competitive wich sucks as it means avarage xtal gain is NOT consistent 2) Every character has a spesific team so you cant just make a fire team and leave not to mention the types like qua and imaginary so when you need a single fire team in PGR you need gazillions in Honkai 3) Honkai gacha is SIGNIFICANTLY worser than PGR Main gacha is 100 pulls gurantee The gear gacha is 50 (sometimes 30) pulls gurantee so to 4/4 a single valk you practically need around 180-200 pulls wich is insanity not to mention that Monthly xtal income is a joke compared to PGR 4) Using characters without signature sets basically means they work HORRIBLE so you are pretty much forced to get their signature sets 5)Gameplay. I had played Honkai for 3 years ish and PGR for around a year and litterally every honkai character is played the same. Game has practically no difficulty the only thing that matters is your gear set unlike PGR where being skilled lets you clear content with just A ranks Idk why people go soft on honkai when comparing it with PGR but saying "PGR is honkai but litterally better in every single direction" is pretty much objective

@@kyarumomochi5146 The reason why they say HI3 is generous, because they give a bunch of free S characters (and a meta at top of that) since then. Every month you can gain 15-20k xtals which is already big and with spending event bonus... I think even a beginner can compete effortlessly at above average levels. Higher levels gives only additionally 40 xtals so it not really necessary to, but if you want to go at the top, you need to be a whale.
