    Fun fact : 1. Bird's nest (swallow bird) is literally their spit. 3. The fungus (cordyceps) is actually a zombie fungus that infiltrate and take over a bug until eventually they become like that. Also "cordyceps" is the strain that is used as the culprit that causes the outbreak in last of us movie and game.

    Shark fin soup A soup made from the fins of a shark. The name doesn't make it cruel but the greed is. Basically sharks are cought alive and they're fins are cut out and then thrown back to the sea where they die by drowning. This is one of the cultures which should be dead but fine dining is keeping it alive

    @@bababasri3 the sharks fin in the most in demand and not the meat! So if they kept the whole shark it would raise the alarm of overkilling which will make the fishermen have to go through high security procedures after the fishing rounds and the Market value of sharks will also go down! So if they throw the shark back to the ocean it will drown and will just stay at the bottom without no one knowing what happened

    "Bua loi" is not raw egg, It made from some kind of powder and boiled it. Make it little crewy and something sweet inside (etc. Sweet saseam, york of salted egg it's creammy)

    Fun facts, hot bird nest soup made in traditional way help with breathing if you have old grandparents that have trouble breathing and nothing help try this. Mind you premium bird nest costs at least $3000 per kilogram.

    @@randomname839 understood but it’s temporary, I’m taking solving health problems unless extremely severe like lung cancer etc or you could be right I’m not doctor. It’s seem to do the trick for years that why they spend good money for it. Personally, I ate it when I was healthy it didn’t do anything. Now I have stroke it practically cured my breathing problems.

    Bird nest soup is something that Chinese think good for women skin. Shark fin soup is a dish for marriage meal. I used to like it but after I know it is not environmental friendly, I just do the fake (vegan) one

    They used to have a Theatre called ‘Texas Theatre’ on that street until its permanently closed due to fire in 1977. That’s why .

    Nah Vietnam had the oldest China town. But its not as big and famous as its used to be. China and Viet had fought eachother for thousands of years. During Chinese civil war among dynasties lots of Chinese immigrate to South of Vietnam

    All? Who teach you fake history? in that case why don’t you also call the Chinese as Siamese, and in that case all Thai people should have white skin like Chinese with mono eye lid but majority of Thai have darker skin tone with double eye lid. Thai are Austroasiatic, the same as other south east Asia country. It’s the Tai that came from south part of China(and you should know that it’s not a part of China in the past time, there are no country at that time), the Tai mix with the local the Mon-Khom(ancient Khmer) who are also the local mix and get influence from the South Indian Tamil.

    @@aishu_1111 this „soup“ is actually made of birds nests. But! The nests are made of turd and snot of swallows. The turd gets rinsed off, the leftover snot is dried and mostly exported to China. Mainly produced in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan. It’s a pretty disgusting business, but in the end a money printer. 😉
