@TheTaleofTheIronSnail
Scottish tweed, Scottish wool, Scottish Scottish, Harris Tweed, etc. You can't talk about Scotland without talking about wool (and sheep). Today we are diving into the wool cloth being made for The Iron Snail Mammoth Special Edition Woolen Jacket. This cloth isn't like Filson's Mackinaw, WeatherWool's, The Standard Issue Mammoth, or anyone else's (besides the few other companies using Sam's cloth). I'm not saying it's better but it's certainly wildly different, Sam calls it "artisan cloth".
Once again, thank you to Sam Goates over at Woven In The Bone for being so incredible.
Bye.

The Iron Snail is a men’s fashion vlog starring a young man named Michael and featuring a snail no bigger than a quarter. The two are set on taking over the world of fashion by creating a clothing line to end all clothing lines. Until then, we’re here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the best clothing out there, from the highest quality raw denim jeans to the warmest jackets to the sturdiest boots…the Iron Snail has got you covered. (written by Taylor, though Michael is sometimes known to talk about himself in the third person… xoxo)

    This has got to be your best video so far. These have always been fun to watch, but your storytelling here has really kicked up a knotch. Your narration is very refined and paces the story well, and you gave Sam's interview segments plenty of time to breathe as she tells her story; there is a palpable atmosphere to the video. Not to mention your visuals are some of the best yet, particularly impressed with your color grading. You're getting some gorgeous dynamic range out of some of these vistas. I can tell you were excited to compose some of these shots. Keep it up, man.

    Great video! It was strange enough to see that you are in the UK but to then realise you are in Buckie was bizarre! Buckie is about as obscure a town as you could hope to find but my Dad was born there and we used to have holidays in Buckie when I was a child. My uncle Alec was a herring trawlerman who sailed out of Buckie harbour and Uncle Selwyn was with the Fleet Air Arm based in Lossiemouth. The local dialect is called Doric and my sister and I, who were both born and raised in Hertfordshire, which is just north of London, could barely make out what our aunts and uncles were saying. You've tapped a rich vein here, thank you and I hope you enjoy your visit.

    *IM WEARING A PAIR OF HAND WOVEN HARRIS TWEED TROUSERS* - I bought 102m of various Harris Tweeds at a bankruptcy auction last month and I can tell you - its different, its lovely. It started of very oil/waxy and shiny which made chalking it a nightmare. Once worn for a few days a nap has raised and its SO tactile, its like wearing warm moss, or a fuzzy cactus but its nice to touch. I cant describe it cos I have not had a cloth like this before.
