The Iron Snail is a men’s fashion vlog starring a young man named Michael and featuring a snail no bigger than a quarter. The two are set on taking over the world of fashion by creating a clothing line to end all clothing lines. Until then, we’re here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the best clothing out there, from the highest quality raw denim jeans to the warmest jacket to the sturdiest boots…the Iron Snail has got you covered. (written by Taylor, though Michael is sometimes known to talk about himself in the third person… xoxo)

Good job on the clean up! Now you can go outside😂
Congratulations on the 5 years with Taylor! 🎉
This sort of video is why I’m subbed to you. That’s a great idea for a journal, I will have to use that! Glad to see the two of uses overcoming the distance!
I've got a Bleu de Chauffe canvas tote. I get so many compliments on it and the size/lack of pockets means it gets a lot of use.
SO ENTERTAINING, always amazes me like your editing makes a video so "simple" into a must watch
Congrats to 5 years! Looking forward to the release of the jacket. You’re vibe always brings joy to my day!
Michael, coming from an enthusiastic knife guy: PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE HELLGAP!! The James Brand makes very mediocre-at-best products in general, but the Hellgap is especially bad. They make sure good looking stuff, but that's about it :)

Go for the Bradford Guardian 3! An amazing knife, small enough to Cary around everywhere and cuts apples like you wouldn’t even believe
Thank you for mentioning that opinel spoon upgrade. I've been looking for a light and small spoon solution for camping for ages and since I bring the opinel anyways I'll give that a shot
Happy 5 years. The 5 year diary is such a cool idea. Cheers
I've had a carter and an opinel for years now, love them!
Great video! That Bleu de Chauffe bag looks so good. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congrats on the anniversary!
Great video as always! I thought fountain pens would be right up your street, but I saw that yellow rollerball at 2:39 ! A Lamy Safari is a great starting point but if you want to keep things local, Noodlers does interesting ink and Esterbrook, originally from New Jersey, has been brought back to life recently
Man. I’m such a fan of your video and the development of each section. Keep up the outstanding work!
Dude, Stirling is the best! I live about an hour from their brick and mortar location! You can go and check out their whole production and the owners are soo nice. Never thought I’d see a local Arkansas company on the snail! Totally cool and love your work man!!
First, congratulations on 5 years with Taylor! Second, or maybe third, I am ordering that fork knife and spoon set, that's amazing, The number I didn't pick last time, I was just looking at that bag company, Bleu de Chauffe, put it off as I have a lot of bags, but now, somehow, I'm on their site again.
HOW ARE YOU SO CREATIVE WITH YOUR VIDEOS, I LOVE IT
Visit Brund when you’re in CPH. Lots of denim and really nice clothes. Big recommendation!
I loved the video but I came here to comment that the ad reads were the most entertaining I've seen in a while and I actually didn't skip ahead for once because of that. Thanks for keeping it fun and interesting!
Thanks for the thoughts on midori! I went with the Travelers Notebook system and like it a lot. You need a Kaweco Sport Pen Togo with that notebook!
Your videos are so well put together man.
I’ve got that same Return of the Jedi glass! One day I’ll complete my set of those and the Empire glasses.
Love your overshirt in this video. Interested to know where you got it! Love the essentials/EDC
Love your videos!!
Your videos are so entertaining. Keep it up man. Safe travels to Europe.
I'm right there with you on the Opinel! I live in France, and these things are available everywhere: supermarkets, tobacco shops, garden shops, sporting good stores...and yeah, they run like 10€. They even have rounded-tip knives for kids. The steel keeps an edge for a super long time. The museum is about an hour from my house, and I'm planning to visit it this weekend. Enjoy your time in Denmark!!
Happy anniversary to my favorite metal slug🎉🎉🎉. Btw, I’ve been watching your videos for around 5 years as well. So maybe it’s our anniversary as well, swoon😊. Anyways have fun in Denmark duder.
Started with knives, my first hobby dive lol great vid and happy anniversary!
Look at all that wall organization. SOMEONE is getting efficient (old vlog callback). Another excellent video!
Dude you're awesome and the editing is probably the top .1% on youtube. Its crazy I even had a dream that I found your place/appartment complex and I was just standing outside looking in while you were recording a video. It was wild and hella random but I guess your videos made that much of an impact on me to dream about it. lol
Love Stirling. I just started using their shaving cream. They have some inspired smells. I don’t know what on Earth inspired the “Ben Franklin” scent but surely something did, because it is crazy. Not necessarily crazy good, not crazy bad, just crazy. It’s an interesting experience.
Just watched the denim video, excited to see you are getting in to knives. If you ever want to know more about them I'd be happy to help. Been in the industry for many years. Cheers.🤙
I hope you enjoy your knife journey!
Ahhh well I’ve spent the last day binge watching your channel. One of the KZread channels I wish had infinite videos. Can’t rush perfection I guess - cheers!
Fun items! This was a blast to watch. I know what you mean about the Sigma 24-70. That thing has been around the world with me at this point.
I am much older than you, but I truly love your content, your sense of humor and above all being genuine and not fake nor pretentious. Keep it up Michael 👍

It’s not entirely genuine, KZreadrs receive free products not out of the kindness of a company’s heart (such a thing doesn’t really exist lol). They get them in the hopes that the KZreadr will feel obligated to give the brand a shoutout and that the product will show up in the background of or be worn in videos. These are subtle forms of advertising. Since this guy is a businessman, he probably knows this, so his compliments are less about gratitude and more about giving the donors what they want.

Best item in this video: decorative wooden screen-like thing behind the bed. What is that and where can I get one?
i got a wallet from popov leather i had it for about a year now and i love it and the patina looks great
Congratulations to you two! ❤
I KNEW I RECOGNISED YA. Theo & Harris the totally unbiased rapport of vintage watches
I bought two Leica M4P's in 1981after my first year as a photojournalist. Used them forever! I think I paid $525 for each new body.
Hey Michael, Thanks for your interesting content. The spelling of your French postman bag was not obvious for me to find in your write up. How is it spelled exactly? Thanks so much.
I thought Viberg 145 got discontinued. Im looking foword to see your take on them. That chair is fier you have there
I love Denmark lol while you're there you should take the train to Malmo and Lund, no more than 45 min away and you get to see a bit of Sweden! Safe travels bro
Yeah I'm almost 4 years old, but congrats with Taylor!
What type of TV is that? It’s super cool!
love the jacket in the video; if you don't mind sharing, what is the brand and name of the jacket, and where could i get one?

G shock 5600. Nice , Just got one in black and gold. It's rad. I had to give my gold databank to fauna at Babscon because we where fighting some demonic forces on Saturday night. Hey isn't that the bag from the wagon wheel music video.
whats the wool jacket your wearing? :)
As a knife person who recently became a fan I suggest you buy a Chris Reeves Sebenza 21 or 31
Hey Michael - What is the overshirt you are wearing in this video?
10:11 the hole you use in the left strip is lower than the right one, it drives me crazy, for your information :)
Congrats on 5 years. Time to do a Work watch excursion videos from Denmark and showcase all the Scandy watch makers.....
Nothing like a nice slim leather wallet 👌
What model is your Explorer? Looking to get one myself and am thinking 114270...
That is so cool, that you work in the watch industry! And I say this, because I am totally blind I have no vision whatsoever. I have been blind for the last seven years and I always enjoyed wearing a nice watch but now my issue is they do have watches for the blind, but They are a very, very poor quality. It would be nice if one of the manufactures would try to solve this issue it should be waterproof. It should have a quality leather band and it must talk of course. They do make the talking watch is an analog and digital, so this would be interesting if you could try to tackle this issue. Thank you once again.

The Timex Iron Man would be a perfect platform. Also, the G-Shock would be a great platform. Both of them have analog and digital platforms. That would be perfect. This would be a great starting point.
5 years?! Propose already! 😊
What app are you using to draw on the iPad?
What jacket are you wearing in this video? Just watched your jacket collection vid, but don't think it was included there 😓
"My first favorite thing is this knife from The James Brand... to be honest I don't know that much about knives" Checks out.
Strange, I was watching Theo and Harris and I could’ve swore you said you were married. Enjoy Denmark. We were stationed at the embassy there for three years.
Don’t get too “into” knife steel would be my advice. I thought I needed high class knife steel. “Good” knife steel tends to be hard to sharpen and not worth the price or effort. Something you can sharpen easily is better. Edit: Like the Opinel. Or a Victorinox. The latest, greatest knife steel tends to be more brittle, hard to sharpen and doesn’t always have the same corrosion resistance. Don’t get me wrong. I still have some modern knives with flashy steel but it in no way makes the knife more usable or dictates what I have in my pocket (today, a Vicorinox Rambler on my car keys. So small it’s barely there but does most things I need).
@MultiVance123

Knife steel is a huge rabbit hole. There’s the blade material itself, the heat treat on the steel, and then the type of grind on the blade in conjunction with the actual edge angle. When it comes down to it, I completely agree that the flashy steels in a lot of high end modern knives are cool and can definitely boost performance, I have found that ease of maintenance has become the most important aspect of a knife steel for me.
Okay. Nice bag. But why is one of the strap buckles in a lower hole than the other? It's bothering my OCD and I wish you would change it
Who makes your grey overshirt please?
This Makes The Hood Go Crazy
Laughing at this because i use very similar items. For knife i opted for the french douk douk instead of the opinel and camera is a fujica 801. Also boots.
Knives can be nice but decades of knive crime in Scotland means even being caught outside with a 3 inch blade on a multi tool ( without probable work usage) can result in prosecution ( police discretion if they believe it’s for work) I have some opinel garden tools and cutlery and they are awesome

@K.M.V S our (Canada) knife laws aren't really that bad, they just can't be used for self defense, no autos, no balisongs, no gravity knives. The big thing is that CBSA is super weird about importing knives. I had my Chris Reeve Large Inkosi seized because they thought it was a gravity knife. Worked several months for an appeal for that thing because no chance I'm forfeiting a $700 CAD knife.
@IGmeanwell
Жыл бұрын
In NYC your pretty limited to what you can carry based on blade size and locking mechanisms. All autos are illegal in NY, you can own them just can’t carry them. In the city though if your caught with any sort of flipper or semi auto mechanism It’s probably going to get confiscated. Up here in the ADK we can have under a 4” blade while carrying as long as it’s not an auto mechanism. I have a civivi KI-V mini to make sure my carry is legal where ever I go, of course we could all just carry a Swiss Army knife. Edit: NY State also does not want you carrying any sort of gravity deploying knife.
I was just debating on buying the Opinel picknick set so now I kinda have to right?
