I personally only do circuit training, but even I appreciate the dedication and sacrifice that Strongman requires. Great job to all the organizers and participants.

Since the weight is spread so far from the center of the bar, the bar bends dramatically…that keeps the weight on the ends from lifting off the ground until the bar is at or above the knees, which makes the deadlift significantly easier than with standard weights.

For sounds so technical, you’re saying something that’s pretty obvious. Although it would probably be harder for most people because of the stabilization. Also not significantly easier, the world record is only 100lbs more than standard deadlift.

Only part of the equation. It's also harder than some lifts because of the need to stabilize and the tendency for the bending and flexing of the bar to make it more difficult. Technique has to be on point. If you aren't smooth and it bounces, your toast.
