I love how this started with nonsensical bs and as they got more and more drunk it became more and more genuine and deep. Garnt talking about how he's "reached his end goal" almost has me tearing up a bit. It's a strangely warm kind of bittersweet feeling knowing that if right now he just completely stopped uploading to his channel, some part of me would be sad that I'd never get to see another video from him, yet another part of me would be content knowing that it's already brought him all the joy and rewards needed for him to be fulfilled.

I mean, I remember doing that myself when I was younger. You kinda blow on the spoon the same way you would to fog up a window so you can draw on it and gently apply the spoon to the nose, and if it sticks boom, "magic trick" successful. It was the sort of stupid thing you'd see like people bending spoons with telekinesis, but everyone already knew the trick to it so it was like "what the fuck is this idiot doing?"

Probably one of the most down to earth, uplifting, wholesome and funny episodes. Genuinely felt like the times where you meet up with friends and have some drinks and just shoot the shit. I know that's present in a lot of trash taste episodes but something about this episode in particular just seemed to resonate with me more than normal. Great Job Guys!

I wasn't expecting the pet talk right now, but I really appreciate you guys talking about this. We had to put our 11.5 year old cat to sleep on Friday as she was starting to struggle to breathe as a result of her terminal cancer condition, and hearing you guys talk about it and having a similar perception of your animals made me tear up in happy tears. Thank you! 😁

I studied Physics at university and can confirm that "they're doing things with stuff" is an accurate description of the LHC/high energy physics generally. Also, Joey mostly got Schrodinger's cat right, but went a bit beyond the scope of the actual thought experiment. It's just a cat in a box with some poison and a single atom of a radioactive element. When the element decays, the poison is released and kills the cat. Before the box is opened (opening the box is equivalent to making a measurement of a quantum system), the wave function of the system is in a superposition of states where the cat is alive and states where the cat is dead. Once the box is opened, the wave function collapses to a pure state (either the cat is dead or the cat is alive). In reality, of course, none of this would actually happen, the cat is either dead or alive regardless of whether you open the box or not because the system in question is too large for quantum effects to be important. It's just an example to try and explain a weird thing that happens at very small scales. The bit about "who determined the system that caused Schrodinger to open the box" bit wasn't part of the original thought experiment, but various philosophers have gone down that rabbit hole.

@@orion10x10 Yeah, as a Physics grad. The philosophy part is important, but the main premise of the thought experiment is designed to represent quantum superposition. Aka, you don't know what state the cat is in until observation. The rest of the thought experiment is far more of an unexplainable mess that means different things to different people (it's philosophy). Important to note that both Garnt and Connor don't have the same experience with Physics that Joey does as they studied engineering (which doesn't cover quantum physics in this detail), explaining it simply is doing a service. They can then build on that later.

34:50 when I‘m just casually reading something, there will be a voice in my head that‘s „reading it out loud“, it‘s only when I‘m reading something and I want to get through it fast that I have to conciuosly make the desicion to gradually read faster than the voice can keep up „saying“ the words until I‘m just focussing on the shape of the words in front of me, at which point my reading speed is double or triple of when the voice „reads out loud“ in my head. Honestly Connor, LARPing as an ancient Roman is probably the most British thing you can do aside from invade other countries and steal their artifacts.

I think episodes like this are the best. I love how the boys are comfortable enough to make jokes about themselves and each other, but also take funny ideas seriously and open up about personal things at the same time. Love from Finland.

What Garnt said about raising a kid was really heart warming cuz as a teacher myself n currently working in the brazilian public system education more specifically with special education I really see lots of "parents" treating their kids either like pets or not caring for them at all n I see this not only with special education students but the nerotipical students too cuz I work with them as well.

I can’t believe the stuff I see as a parent, how they told me ‘becoming a parent will change you’ and I say ‘no becoming a parent *should* change you’ because not everyone does. And the whole argument ‘why would you bring kids into this messed up world’ I used to have but what if our ancestors who had to fight short face bear, disease, wars with swords and sticks, dictatorship. Having kids is how we change the world for the better, raising them right is how it’s done. I didn’t have a biological dad, and I watched friends families fall apart and leave them at age 16 to a house. Idk how they finished high school while working. But I won’t do that to my kids.

The wholesomeness towards the end put a genuine smile on my face. That was uplifting, to say the least.

This was one of the best episodes they’ve recorded. The topics got super deep, and the last topic, with charity and doing the best you can for others, before the outro was nice. I would like another one of these episodes like quarterly or something. But damn an episode with Aki, Syd, and Chris drinking and conversing would be so fun too. It's mocking the overemphasis for the need for an observer where there is none. It's just a variation of the, "if a tree falls down, but there is no one around to hear it, will it make a sound" type of philosophical thought experiments. And i'm only talking about the cat story in relative isolation.

Knowing Connors’ luck he’d teleport to his local konnbini to get food and the person he killed from teleporting would be the sales clerk.

I don’t know why but I enjoyed when things would get de-railed from time to time and you’d just get boys randomly leaving and Connor just randomly playing chess at some points, was fun to listen to lol

This episode has reminded me of the fun times with friends, just chilling with some drinks and having a chat.. Thank you for reminding me. I've been so focused on work and just getting through the day, that I've forgotten to reach out to people.. Think I'll plan a kickback now~

incredible episode, i really hope they choose to do this more often. it was so chaotic, funny and wholesome all at the same time. i also really enjoyed the way it didnt feel like a podcast but just hanging out with the boys. i miss my friends a little bit right now lol

I just imagine the president of kadokawa coming to see what meilene has done with her trash taste project, and walks in on the boys wasted talking about running at sonic speed but youd have to shit yourself

i like how the most replayed section of this podcast is when Garnt was talking about the names of his future children. memes aside, this podcast has been phenomenal. i don't know what it is, but the vibes were something else. keep up the amazing content

man this is such a good episode , like how towards the end when you all just starting speaking your heart without any worries it was so heartwarming, but also at the same time very scary. This episode has such a last episode vibe i am kind of scared but at the same time a weird feeling of satisfaction. The words "ending trash taste" are popping up so much in the latest episodes that i have kind of accepted it's gonna end soon, man its kind of sad but like connor said a show has to end someday .

This episode is easily one of the best episodes on Trash Taste like the vibes of this was Immaculate 😂

Garnts positivity in his videos is the reason he's the only one of the boys I still regularly watch outside of TT, I'm always excited to see a new uplaod from him because I know it'll be a good time

All of their main channel videos are awesome tho. Joey's interview themed videos are toptier peak content at least more than half the time. and connor videos are consistently good and intriguing. i'd say you are missing tf out if you are actively avoiding them

genuinely great episode. they say a drunk mind speaks a sober heart and I loved that y'all were giving each other's flowers in such a wholesome way-- garnt achieving his goals, joey starting his company, connor doing charity exactly why I love drinking with friends lol
