To provide some context, I believe Kobe meant to throw it to the Lakers jersey duo but it fell short into the camo hoodie kid's hand. He was just trying to savor the moment even though he knew it wasn't for him. Then more fighting ensued over it as the girl sitting next to him was trying to encourage him to keep it for himself since he did in fact catch it clean and fair.

I didn't catch one, but on the way back to my seat, an old man who did reached out and handed it to me. i had a similar experience to the ones where adults were grabbing balls thrown for the kids. when i was like 10 or 11 i was at a basketball game and a bunch of people came out with t shirt cannons on the court. one of the guys who was launching them locked eyes with me, gave me a thumbs up, and shot it in my direction. it landed in my seat behind me, and the middle aged man behind me snatched it before i could react. lol this was so long ago now but i remember being devastated. wish these fans could be nicer to the kids grrrr

Part of me likes to think that once these people go home and tell everybody "I was at the game and I got a ball!" And once their friends see how they got it, instantly not so impressed

I am always amazed how grown adults will go after a baseball as if their lives depended on it. I'm not talking about Hank Aarons 715th home run or something like that. Just routine foul balls or something completely insignificant. And then to steal it from a little kid? Unbelievable.

This one time, my dad and I went to a school lacrosse match. This one player who was actually my best friend, got real in his zone and did something incredible. He actually took his gloves off and threw them to the stands. I ran as fast as I could to the landing but there was already another woman there who was actually pushing other people away to have the gloves for herself. So what did I do? I moved without thinking and actually jumped off the seats and grabbed the gloves out of the air. The woman tried to chase me but by that point, I was already back in my seat and gave the gloves back to my friend who was real proud of me.

The guy who brought a whistle to a basketball game. Brilliant!
