The debones disrespect is crazy and nas was playing scared all tournament, this game he was so timid and in his own head

  • @Orein

    @Orein

    Yooo this! I thought they were conserving Deebones’ energy for offense, and Nas for defense… Big mistake. All 3 of the starters (Nitty, Bodybag, Nas) have missed shots and whatnot, but Nas had the most missed open shot that is really crucial in the first half. Nas also looked like he got bullied from the size mismatch and ended up fouling the other team into freethrows, making the other team more daring to drive through and capitalize points off him. Deebones seems to be more feared by the enemy team, based off how many successful pump fakes and lay-ups to foul he got from driving to the rim. Deebones definitely knows how to move around the defender more. Could be cause he’s been watching from the sidelines before he got subbed in, but he still balled out better than Nas in this game. Shoulda let Deebones started. Might be a different outcome. That 4 point free-throw though…

    First time I've seen Nas be rattled by size/defense. Even Frank had problems, so it's understandable. That was a giant team. It's like an unskilled team of pro-sized athletes who are imposing defenders.

    I really thought Ballislife could have put this team away with out struggle. Put DZOE in an switch the other players out if they couldn't hit shots. Bench Nas for a player that could hit shots. Not because he isn't any good but because he has struggled since his injury to get back into the swing of things. Not taking away from Mr. Cores defense. Oh and Nas if you are reading this Stop talking crazy towards Scoobs game if you are gonna keep duckin the 1v1.

    If you’ve ever been in a 3on3 tourney. This physicality in like the Final 4 is standard and if it’s outdoors, it’s ratcheted up like 5x more compared to indoors because those games are played at night with iffy back lighting and youth basketball refs from the 70s-80s🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. It’s a recipe for chaos but it builds character lol😂

    Frank Nitty was ballin extra hard and keeping the team in the game with his passes and scoring ability. Them alley-oops to body bag are crazy, and props to Body bag for always fighting his way for each alley-oops. As for Nas… he got better chances amongst the 3 of them to score, yet he can’t capitalize off a lot of them. Feels bad to see him unable to go through the defence, or even defending, cause all of the opponents are taller and stronger than the usual park runs he’s been going to in the past. Shoulda let Deebones in early and just rotate between Deebones and Dzoe to see if the flow of the game got better or not. Deebones definitely moves better and feared by the opponents. That should have been a clear sign to keep him in the game more longer. The ending was definitely wild though. Nitty was so exhausted, he actually flinched so bad and caught off-guard at 21:11 . The opponent can actually go by him, but baited him into fouling for that 4 point free-throw.

    @TitusLennon I disagree Nitty wasn't playing him in a regular defensive stance Nitty stayed to the side to purely contest the jump shot From analysis, I can see the Nitty stayed on his shooting arm to contest the 4 point shot Normally, a defender would take a neutral stance to guard against drives, but Nitty, in this case, positioned his defense to stop the shot only You can clearly see Nitty jumping to his side rather than jumping straight up Pausing the video at multiple intervals, you can see the shooter elevate with a straight leg. He then kicked out his leg after the follow through with the shot. And he just happened to kick his leg to the right To me, it was quite obviously an offensive Nitty played defense perfectly
