The older ultraboost were plush because the strobel is thin/flexible thus your feet is "directly" on the foam. The newer ultraboost 1.0 is different,the strobel is hard. Nike invincible 1,2 strobel are soft as well thus making it plush. But Nike invincible 3 strobel is hard. This rebel v4 don't even have full strobel,your feet directly on the midsole which make it plush. Can't stand wait to get it. 😊

The invincible 1 and 2 didn't have a strobel board which made them great and the 3's does smh. If Nike removed the strobel they would be great again.

There is no respected doctor recommending these shoes for medical staff. If you talk to any orthopedic drs who specialize in foot and ankle, they all give the same answer (if they are resprected), Hoka and On Cloud. A soft cushion is not a good shoe for comfort and stability. It makes for an unstable plant. You want support not squish. My guess is you carry a clipboard all day if you think this is comfort.

Some believe it's best to choose whatever feels most comfortable for you, so that might be a cushioned shoe. And some research does support this view for a large part. I encourage you to read up on it yourself. But the point is that the issue is not straightforward.

The most comfortable kicks I ever had were a cheap pair of Slazengers. They were these white canvas, square toed plimsoles. The insoles were 3 to4 inches thick and toweled along with the enitire inner lining. It was like walking with towels on my feet. I wore those to absolute wreck. I could never find another pair. It's been 20 plus years and I'm still looking.

Because of your recommendation, I have bought this pair of shoe and you are definitely right. It is light and comfortable. Thank you.

Great review as always. I have several max comfort running shoes to include the 1080v13 and Rebel V4. The 1080v13 is far softer and more comfortable in my opinion, Rebel is just lighter.

I have both, Invincible 3 and 1080v13 and i tend to wear the 1080v13 most of the time, best upper and midsole. I also hate the inv 3 heel slip.

I agree to this to. Working in the hospital, standing and walking all day, this is the best comfy shoe for me for now, using nike invincble 3 for previous years, and I think this is better than the invincible!

my new favorite shoe this year, it's more or less become my new daily driver, trips to the store, hanging out with friends, to the movies, the real test was i went on a trip a few weeks back, comfy for walking thru the airport, easy on and off when i go through TSA, comfy throughout the trip

On what "comfortable" is, just wanna say that very soft midsoles are also not good since they hurt your knees for standing and long hours of use because of how unstable it is. It may even cause problems in the long run (*pun*). Pillowy soft cushions are best for running & recovery. Lifestyle shoes use hybrid dual densities to keep you stable, and that's what I would count as a healthy dose of comfortable.

@@Sean2884 give me your smart rebuttal then. That’s why Ultraboost & Freshfoam, Fuelcell are running sneakers, and why flat Chuck Taylors, Metcons are preferred for lifting. If you plan on staying static for long periods, ultra soft cushions will tire you out because you need to balance more, and you will dig into them. Same reason why New Balance 990 v6s are deemed very comfortable is because they use dual density foams that are more firmer. If they were plain fuelcell, they wouldn’t be lifestyle. Dumbass.

This is my most comfortable shoe, 100% recommend, especially for the price. Only issue that I have is the “outsole” is super thin and most of the bottom is the white foam, causing it to get dirty easily. But it does help with the comfort I guess

I have these and love them but my Nike Invincible Run 3’s are at least 15% softer under foot, in my opinion. Those are a level beyond these in underfoot comfort. However, I love the look and light weight of the Rebel V4 and I like that they seem to have more room to move your toes up and down in them so that I don’t have foot claustrophobia lol.

I recently tried on the Rebel V4 and was pretty disappointed with the flimsy feeling upper. And I went to the store wearing the 1080v13. A much softer shoe!

The Nike Huarache Runner is extremely comfortable! I feel like it doesn’t get talked about enough since its a lifestyle shoe and not a performance shoe, so it doesn’t feature any of Nike’s premium cushions like: React, ZoomX, or ReactX, but you wouldn’t believe so once you have them on. They’re very stylish and comfortable to wear all day. I have already bought 3 pairs in different colors. I’m not sure about performance. I haven’t actually ran in them; I just wear them casually. For running, I still rock my Pegasus 35 Turbos from 2018 lol. If you’re looking for a nice casual shoe to wear all day and look good, then i highly recommend the Huarache Runner. I need to know what materials Nike is using for the cushioning.

I like shoes where the upper is comfortable, and the midsole isn't rock-hard but also not too soft. Like the Puma RS-series are extremely comfortable to me. The upper is light but soft, the midsole is not too hard but not too soft. Another good examples are the 990v3, 2002R. The Invincible Run 2 is comfortable for softness and the upper is real nice, but definentely not for longer periods of wear and no full days. At all. The invincible run 3 is completely ruined by the upper, the midsole is nice but the upper is absolutely horrible. Some of the least comfortable shoes I have would be Adidas Forum, I even tried going half a size up but it just doesn't solve the problem. It just gives me a shoe that is too big. So I guess comfortable doesn't have to be the softest, but it has to be wearable for HOURS on end, it has to be the shoe that if you walk in it for 2-3 hours a day, the feet won't hurt.

I am wearing the Hykes Pinnacle and sooo comfy, my new favorite shoe and will never go back to regular shoes.

What’s the difference between the rebel and trainer?? Trainer is more expensive but as for daily running which would you recommend?

I have the epic react flyknit 1 and 2, and I would say those are one of the most comfortable uppers that I wore on shoe. Give those the zoomx treatment and I would say they would be the most comfortable shoe ever.

I think the Invincible 3's and the New Balance 1080v 13's were slighlty more comfortable than these. I tried all the shoes from your top 10 and the Nike's and NB 1080 to me were better. There was something about the Rebel V4 that felt off but I can understand why you choose these.

The issue lies in the outsole durability. It's thin and lots of exposed foam which might be good for everyday wear

I just scored a pair of New Balance Fresh Foam X More V4 at Marshall’s for $59 bucks. They look as bouncy, if not more bouncy than these Rebels. The foam foot pad looks bigger on the V4’s. I’m going to try on a pair of Rebels, and compare them.

What is interesting is New Balance classifies the 1080v13 as 3 out of 4 on their softness scale compared to 2 out of 4 for the Rebel v4

I think SuperComp trainer v2 is more comfortable and softer. Rebel v4 is cool but in my opinion nowhere near with the sc trainer.

I wear 10.5" Wide, and the laces are way too short. Had issues with the top of the shoe kinking, but overall very comfortable. Material-wise it doesn't feel as substantial as my NBs, but a good shoe.

I think my 1080 v13 are more pillow soft then fuel cell , just my opinion

I love running in this shoe, super comfortable. But for whatever reason it hurts my foot when I’m just wearing them and walking around. No pain when running 🤷🏽‍♂️

I have the NB Fresh Foam X More v4. I've never tried the Rebel. My thought is there is nothing more comfortable than the More v4. Anyone who has tried both care to comment.

As much as I like the new balance fuel cell rebel v4, in our country they cost 9295 philipiine pesos which is around $165 and they barely go on sale. On the other hand, the nike invincible cost 9895 philippine pesos which is around $175 but it is almost always found for sale (commonly around 6500 to 8000 pesos or $115 to $140). Hopefully, I can find this shoe on sale then I'd definitely buy one because in our country new balance shoes are expensive (also asics shoes) unless your near factory outlets that have crazy discounts.

I finally tried on a pair of NB Rebel V4's at the shop. I had to remove my pair of Asics Gel Nimbus 25's to do that. I can confirm that the Rebel V4's are NOT "the most comfortable sneaker". Great shoes for cushioning and being able to pick up the pace. Just nowhere near "the most comfortable".

Not sure you understand how bad it is too walk with these max cushions shoes, you will have plenty of issue in your ankles, knees and hips when you grow older if you don't stop these non sense. You are screwing the natural bio mechanics of your body. You might wanna educate yourself on that and use proper walking shoes for waking and keep the runners for what they are meant to be.
