I love Barcelona just because of this building, have seen it twice
Simply stunning. Had long wanted to visit. On my 50th birthday (2013) I did. It was utterly breathtaking and I’ll never forget it. Thanks for the memory👍
Antoni Gaudi is by far my favorite Architect. He is simply phenomenal. And Sagrada Familia is the most incredible building ever designed and built. I studied architecture at Mississippi State University for four years (didn't end up getting the degree (also MSU's S/ARC was/is still one of the best in the nation). I was lucky enough to travel all over Europe in 1991 ending my continental European tour in Barcelona. I cannot recommend Barcelona enough for Gaudi's Architecture, Salvador Dali's and Juan Miro's Surrealist paintings/museums. I have never read this anywhere it is my own theory, but I think Antoni Gaudi's Architecture inspired, led to, and created the Cubist and Surrealist art movements. Look at his architecture and let me know what you think.

I know, how could anyone want efficient travel without getting ripped off or yelled at and a solid clean surface to walk on along side 5 million visitors. Haha
1) American portion sizes are the reason they are massively unhealthy and caffeine addicted. 2) Uber in Barcelona was perfectly fine for me over 4 days. No more than a 10 minute wait for confirmed ride and no issue with driver/journey.

In Barcelona is better take public transport. La sagrada família has 2 metro lines and several buses
If you thing that is the best architect in the world you really haven’t any taste , this building is grotesque
