Without a doubt the most beautiful building on this planet. Even today it is way ahead of its time in both architecture and engineering. To gain a more complete appreciation of this marvel don't miss the museum underneath the basilica, itself a monument to the meticulousness, imagination and pure genius of its creator, IMO, amongst monuments built to the glory of God this is the only one truly worthy of Him and in my long life I have seen plenty of stone piles, supported by buttresses, now I don't want to see another one, but I do want to return to Barcelona, just to visit it again.

Thank you. Funny how I walk by all the time and these last months is when I've really appreciated the building. It has been so strange, so quiet around Sagrada Familia. I hope you will come back, the pandemic has been horrible for so many small shops, restaurants.

Llevo más de 50 años en Barcelona y en muchas ocasiones he ido a visitar las obras de la Basílica de La Sagrada familia, la última vez fue en 2010 y ya va siendo hora de que me acerque a contemplar la obra más bella jamás construida por el ser humano, ver cuánto han adelantado y a esperar su culminación en 2026. Wonderful footage! Well done! The glassmaker who made the stained glass windows of the Holy Family said that one day while he was resting on one of the side benches of the basilica, a girl with Hindu aesthetics and therefore not a believer in the Christian religion began to cry of pure emotion. That is precisely what Gaudí wanted, to make anyone of any religion get excited when entering the basilica. I had a similar emotion, I spent about 5 minutes thinking if what was in front of me was real, wondering how it is possible that someone is capable of creating something so wonderful.

I have visited a lot of beautiful places in the world, but Sagrada Familia is by far the most beautiful, stunning, and magnificient building I have ever visited. I was left speechless......it is a religeous experience even if you are not religeous!

Tuve la dicha de visitar Barcelona el año pasado, está Basílica La Sagrada Familia me impresionó por su arquitectura no siendo experta en el área. Es alucinante partiendo por si historia , creyentes y no creyentes la admiran por si belleza y colorido, espero volver pronto es muy cautivante ese lugar.

Estuve en el 2017 viendola,una maravilla,no hay nada mejor en el mundo.saludos desde Asia.

It is an amazing place. So very futuristic. It looks like it could be from another planet. I was glad to see there is a pipe organ there. I notice many vacant alcoves for statues. I wonder if they will eventually put statues in those areas?

j'ai visité , il y a deux ans fois magnifique The Sagrada Família,

es una maravilla, de luz ycolor,y como esas columnas se funden en el techo,expectacular.

Ma question serait de savoir si à cet instant, c'est à dire en août 2021, est-ce que les travaux de ce que je considère personnellement comme un des plus beaux monuments de la chrétienté, sont terminés ? J'ai visité par deux fois et à des années différentes cet édifice monumental et je confirme qu'il est impressionnant et admirable, enfin les mots me manquent pour décrire les émotions ressenties si on est croyant et chrétien... Je pense aussi que ceux qui sont de confession différente qui ne pourront rester indifférents...Toutes les religions se doivent de visiter cette basilique...Je suis à même de penser que c'est un lieu qui invite à l'union... Le génie de Gaudi ne peut cependant échapper aux lois de la verticalité et de l'horizontalité même si ce brillant architecte détestait les lignes droites ou rectilignes...Il aimait sûrement les courbes et en usait avec justement ce qui faisait de lui une sorte de génie qui a su transmettre à ceux qui ont poursuivi et achevé son oeuvre, dans le respect de ce qu'il avait sans doute souhaité...Gaudi a été touché par la grâce et a rejoint les immortels car il s'est projeté dans le futur avec cette construction sans doute guidé par Dieu lui même....

Without a drought an engineering wonder. But after viewing its development over the past several few years I sense the development of the structure has drifted away from from the original concept of Gaudi into a futuristic concept which is difficult to comprehend. This said it is still a wonderful, beautiful Basilica.

From what I've heard, they do this because the original design was lost. Surely, Gaudi wanted to add more detail, but without the plans, the new architects do a simplified version of it. I think it is the correct choice. No one can replicate Gaudi, so it is best not to try.

yes I think the Gaudi plans where destoyed in the spanish civil war, that's why nowadays they are continuing it without the guidance of those valuable plans. Anyway is admirable the will to end it. I hope in about 10 years to be almost done.

Этот храм - неземное чудо архитектуры и творческой мысли великого Гауди. Какое-то космическое сооружение, оно и подавляет своей мощью и необычностью, и возвышает и уносит тебя на какие-то высоты. Потрясающая игра света, проникающего через многочисленные окна. Трудно представить, что этот дивный храм задумал, спроектировал и претворил в жизнь человек, даже Гений. Это замысел Создателя!

Мне в Барселоне больше всего понравилась церковь в Испанской деревне. Для знающих знаки и символы-в церкви очень здорово они сохранились: и четверик и эзоосмическая решетка, и дракон с трехглавым хвостом- трехлавость символизирует трехмерный мир и т.д. И атмосфера!
