I feel so validated. My favorite sugar cookie recipe uses hard boiled yolks, too! We always push them through a sieve. Another key ingredient is potato starch.

Yes , in Indonesia sometimes we use hard boild egg too for Eid or christmas cookies like pineapple tart or snow ball cookies or button cheese cookies And the cookies result are amazing

I tried this recipe today and it’s amazing! Super easy, the dough is so rich in color and the cookies are super flavorful and crumbly, I recommend it 100%

I know those cookies because they are my favourite italian cookies to get from the supermarket- but I never tried making them myself until now. I just baked them and I love how they turned out! So crumbly and the sweetness was perfectly balanced with the lemon flavour. So thanks for the recipe, this one will definitely go into my recipe collection (like your 5-in-1 christmas cookies and so many more) 😊

Ooh I had no idea this was going to be a recipe for Canestrelli! I’d never heard of them before this year and didn’t know how they were made, so I really wasn‘t expecting to see them when clicking on a video for (slightly crazy-sounding 😂) hard boiled egg cookies. Even just store-bought Canestrelli are amazing, I love their light taste and crumbly texture, so I’m definitely trying this recipe for the holidays. Thanks for the inspiration! 💛

We have a similar cookie in Portugal, it's called "bolacha húngara" ou "húngaros" (hungarian cookies or simply hungarians, i don't know the origin of the name😂). The main difference is that we cover half of the cookie with chocolate or use two cookies and fill them with jam. It's really delicious, but i'm also willing to make the effort of trying the Italian version! :)
