If you can't play proper defence because a) you don't know how or b) lack character knowledge or c) opponent is too good with mixups you have to go bunga or keep out if you want a chance at winning. If you want to learn defensive play you have to lab characters, practice your punishment and play matches where you play only defence, movement, punishment and simple, safe, moderate poking without caring whether you lose or not. I suggest non ranked matches or playing with friends for training these things.

Its pretty much your only option playing online. You cant rely on a constant frame rate with connection dips, and with it reliable defense/punishment. Kazuya isnt exactly blessed with great pokes, rush down or keep out. Your only real option is to cram your 50-50 up your opponents colon as hard as you can and hope for the best.

@@larryquicksave5765 TMM’s Bryan isn’t too great. I’m sure you see that the Kazuya player really lacked brain cells. In the rounds where TMM used the same move constantly, the Kazuya player just kept getting hit by them while trying to press buttons and lost in a green rank way. The Kazuya player never respected TMM’s plus frames and almost always was pressing buttons, even in terrible oki situations. If MainMan had respected him less, he would have won many more rounds and also embarrassed the Kazuya player. The Kazuya player never blocked a single low, and rarely ever blocked mids and highs. That fact alone is already a big issue. Even green ranks are too high of a rank for someone like this.

To answer the guy in chat asking if you can press just down instead of downback; yes you can! Just be cautious of the dpad because if you hold the down button just slightly forward you may get a df input due to the way the pad works. So, in short, you can use down but just try to hold back slightly 👍

Kazuya's lack of pokes made me look down on him, i even though i might have a chance beating TMM'S Kazuya if i met him online. Until i met a Fujin Kazuya for a death match ranked session 3 days ago. The stress i had during this 1 hour session is incomparable to any session during my last 3 years of T7 online. Now i learned to respect Kaz. I am taking some time off Tekken online since then.

Hey is do you think Bryan Fury and his grey skin, unlimited stamina, Ice box for a heart, and shady background /personality (that Lei was investigating) ...is or was involved in dirty Blitzkrieg stimulants. He reminds me of spider-mike (John Leguizamo) from the movie Spun.

This Unga Bunga playstyle isn't limited to Tekken, sadly after the recent For Honor update on console made the whole playstyle of most player went Unga Bunga who can't 2 seconds without pressing a button.

I love how aggresive he is. But sometimes we need to get on the defensive. Depends on the frame. dont forget the spacing or movement. Im a kazuya player too. This is why i dont like to play online. Because it makes me mashing the button too and im not a good player either.🤣 Edit: Nice use of magic4
