Taking some time to look back over 2023 and look forward to 2024
In 2023 I:
1) Posted pictures and videos daily on Instagram, reaching a follower count of around 6600 at the turn of the year
2) Posted 35 long form videos to KZread and lots of reels, reaching a subscriber count over 1000 and over 100,000 longform views
3) started a website (dudsbydel.com) where I post mirror articles for my KZread videos.
4) started a Patreon for for folks who want to support the channel in exchange for more content! 3 paid subscribers so far supporting honest reviews and style content
5) opened a shop on the website with a few shirts designed by me, sold a handful so far
6) used affiliate marketing for Schott jackets and a few other items to fund more items for review and better gear
In 2024 I plan to:
1) continue posting to Instagram daily and expect to reach 10,000+ followers
2) post 60-70 new long form videos with new types of content including boots, shirts, jeans, celebrity styles, item breakdown, and so on.
3) increase the number of articles on the site, perhaps getting help with writing
4) more consistently raise awareness of the Patreon and introduce new rewards
5) collaborate with designers to make better graphics and introduce other items to the shop
6) continue to be honest in my reviews and product associations while including affiliate links in my content
Thanks for coming along on this ride

Well said, my friend! Hearing you speak about making KZread content brings me back to the years of when I used to maintain my own channel for mobile tech reviews. You are so right about different opportunities that can come from simply uploading content that shows your own passion, for my KZread uploads eventually led me to Nokia in its heyday. I often reminisce on the many tech conventions and gatherings with fellow tech bloggers that had flight, hotel, and food costs covered. My days of uploading videos ended long before KZread became the huge multimedia conglomerate that it currently is, but I am thankful to still see those posted video episodes thrown together from the comfort of my home with a camcorder and Apple Final Cut editing software! I encourage you to keep following your own instinct with the content creation! Every presentation you give is a refreshing dose of down-to-earth and relatable friendliness enhanced by steadfast integrity and selfless humility. Every word you say is genuine and free of all the convoluted pomp and unnecessary charades that can take the magic out of social media. You most certainly have a pilot light within that burns with such motivation, and it is a privilege to see you continue on with stoking its flame to the best of your ability and beyond! Kudos to you into 2024!!!

Thanks Trent! And what an interesting window into the earlier days of tech…if I learned anything in 2023 it’s that I should have started everything much earlier. But better now than later!

I’m excited for you brother. I’ve watched content from channels like Carl Murawski, Rose Anvil, Stridewise, etc for years. I’ve purchased many boots, jeans and shirts. I’ve found the boots, the jeans and shirts that work for financial constraints and how I want to present myself to the world. I needed a leather jacket to complete the look and found your channel as I wanted a Schott Perfecto and needed to see some reviews. I’ve watched your videos and really admire what you have done so far and wish you success. Don’t give up.

Hey Duds, That was very interesting and inspirational to listen to you, how you got to be such a competent expert for mens leather fashion but also for all kind of other mens casual wear. - Thank you for sharing your thoughts and rich experiences in this field. Wishing you a lot of success in 2024, peace and kindest regards.

Keep ‘em coming man! You have inspired me to seriously consider making my own content I wanted to know what camera do you use for your videos. Thanks!

Thanks Robert. It can be fun as long as you like learning and trying new things. I use an iPhone 13 for the camera. I got a Sennheiser MKE 400 mic to use with it for better sound quality without having to worry about being close to the mic or fiddling with a lapel mic.
