We lost the flute player (Ray Thomas) this past year. He added so much to every song! RIP, Ray!

I grew up listening to this group & they are one of my favorites from the 60's-80's. They have had so many hit songs. Love their mix of rock with classical music. They have a sound like no other band. "Nights In White Satin" is their most famous song but they have so many other great songs such as "Go Now", "Tuesday Afternoon", "The Story In Your Eyes", "Question", "Ride My See-Saw", "I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)", "Gemini Dream", "The Voice", "Your Wildest Dreams". But all of their music is great. Many of their records are concept albums & meant to be listened to all at once. Sadly their drummer Graeme Edge just passed away last year.

Dagmar, We completely agree with your comments. As 74 yr old senior citizens from southeast Arizona, USA, we remember fondly dancing to this song at school dances. We owned every one of their albums (vinyl) through 1982. For melodic, soothing musical compositions there was no band better than the Moodys. Great reaction by both of you. Love how you show genuine appreciation for this performance. Our second favorite song by the band is "Tuesday Afternoon", and we'd love to see your reaction it in this live performance. Here is the link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kZ-t2KR_dJW9gaQ.html Stay safe and happy.
Welcome to one of the most iconic bands of the mid-60's thru 70's. They had a continuous string of hits. Their music is mesmerizing!!!
The strings of the orchestra sets the tone of great love found and lost. Then the flute adds the haunting note of his pain that will stay with you forever.
Justin Hayward singing wrote and did the orchestral arrangement when he was 17 years old. What talent!
When you are a man in love and are in tune with your partner Spiritually, Physically and Emotionally you are as One. Then making Love between Satin Sheets makes it all worthwhile. The moody Blues are one of the greatest Rock Bands of all times. Great reaction.
I love you two. You brighten my day so much. Not only are your reactions great but your back and forth discussions make me so happy. You guys are so sweet. Thank you so much for giving of your time and yourselves. Peace and love.

This song is just utter perfection....that chorus has such a haunting feel to it.
How is it possible never to have heard of the Moody Blues? They have been my favourite group for 55 years.
63 years old love the Moody Blues
This song brougth a tear in my eyes,so beautiful.❤
Another great 70's song is Procol Harum- A Whiter Shade of Pale and they perform it live in 2006 in Denmark with a full symphonic orchestra. Its beautiful and you'll love it if you check it out Love your reactions!

Rip Gary Brooker legend left us last year.❤
This entire album is like taking some magical journey from the first note to the last. There’s nothing like it on earth.
60 years later still love it. Musical, lots of cash to put this together. We are chosen to hear.
This one is a classic, and this live version is special. OK, here's my story: Freshman year of college, fall of 1973, and my roommate always wanted to fall asleep to side 2 of their 'Days of Future Past' album. Of course, he fell asleep after the first song and there I was, staring at the ceiling, until the spoken word part after 'Nights in White Satin' concluded. So, to say I know every note is an understatement! Thanks for this one and the memories it triggered.
This was the song I Loved with my wife Judy Ann when we were married in 1978❤❤
I watched to the end and no, you don't talk to much...i enjoy your story's
This group is wonderful.... Nights in White Satin was super big for the Moody Blues in the states. Justin, the guitar man and lead singer wrote this when he was 19 years old. I saw them in concert back in the mid 1980's. It was SO good! Like listening to an album or CD. The addition of the full orchestra makes this classic magical.... The last section is so powerful it makes some cry. The orchestra builds it up and up...!!!!! Wait a tad, and you two will hear & see what L'm talking about. One of the many things I like and enjoy about these older bands is how calm and smooth they are. No flash, just pure talent. This is the start of the section I referred to earlier. Lady I watched until the end. You do NOT need to say sorry. Feelings and memories are two of the ways we know we are still alive. Toy two take care & stay safe!!!!!!!! Bye for now.
Epic live performance. And those older, more mature voices may be more appealing than the original.
Love her story at the end
love the moment u both had
I was lucky enough to see these guys back in 70s with backstage tickets and front and center seats. Talk about a man melting thousands of womens hearts in one evening was just what Justin did!! They toured with the orchestra which made it more special. Great concert and meeting them!
One of the most beautiful songs ever written…to hear this 2x with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was life changing for me…so spiritual. These guys have been around 50 plus years.
I love how you reached over and rubbed your husbands shoulder during the 'Oh how I love you' section. A brief moment, staring into one another eyes, sharing your love. :)
I watched till the end, lol. And I'm glad I did. You guys are a wonderful couple with great reactions, especially to what is dear to you. Please keep it up :o)

Oh, and sorry I missed the upload. We have the Queen's birthday long weekend holiday happening. and I was out in the 4wd, camping and enjoying the mud and snow. Cheers.
you guys are pretty cool :)
Of course I watched to the end of the video! I like the interaction between you guys and I thought your story of your youth “…back in the day…” in Poland was interesting. You are both fantastic people.😊
The Moody’s are most definitely one of a kind. No other comes close to their musical artistry, genius & uniqueness. Listen to them early & often, their sound never grows old...
The first album I ever bought back in the 1960's was the first of several Moody Blues albums that I bought and love. I still remember the warmth of the sun as I walked out of the store, I loved how they could write for, and integrate the full orchestra as well as rock and roll instruments. Back then this was not usual. Even the Beatles, whose sound engineer would mix orchestra into their music weren't actually writing with the intent of integrating a full orchestra like the Moodies did. Back then there were plenty of people who said the Moodies were pretentious for aspiring to use such a wide range of instruments. I think it is sheer brilliance.
His voice is just as good now as it was back then and he's in his 70s now. Justin (the lead singer) wrote Nights in White Satin when he was 19 years old after a breakup with a girlfriend who had given him a set of white satin bed sheets. The song was released in 1967. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
iconic, nights in white satin is a classic, also a must hear *"a whiter shade of pale" band "procal harem" , live in denmark* - 2 of the best songs &, music ever,...both blend in symphony with rock .... both fantastic
I loved your story.😄😄 you guys could talk for hours sharing and I will gladly listen.
You should listen to the long version where he talks at the end,ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!❤
Warms your heart
Killer! Moody blues are another classic example of a rock band playing with a symphony! Excellent ❤
What an adorable couple and yes a true love story . Bye!
I have always loved this song, especially as it build to a crescendo for the chorus. Enjoyed your reaction and comments.
Have always been a fan of the Moody Blues - their lyrics and music together with Justin Hayward's voice are superlative. Have seen them many times in concert they are just as good live as on their recordings. RIP Ray Thomas (flute) and Graeme Edge (drummer) you are sorely missed.
I watched to the end and no apologies necessary! I loved your reactions to a song that I have loved since the moment I heard it. I was probably 10 years old. I’ll be 55 in April. I loved it for a very long time. ❤
I'm almost 66 I remember them well
After suggesting it I just discovered you've actually reviewed this song already. Glad you enjoyed it!
You guys are so cute, you make me smile. I started listening to music with The Moody Blues. Their music style is all their own.
i have previously mentioned that i come from Birmingham England and that a lot of bands have come from there. The Moody Blues come from Birmingham and i am very proud to come from there also. Has well (ELO) electric light orchestra come from there too, who are very famous
Love the Flute!!!
Hy nowe. This is a song you never forget ❤💖💖wan of the greaters song of the 60/70.is beautiful
So cute of you people. 😃😃😃 Like the way your conversation.
Waiting to the end was a real pleasure don’t change your enthusiasm is so infectious This was a song I had completely forgotten about as well that is now on my Playlist
Their combination of orchestra with pop group was a revolution back then, late sixties. My favourite song with Justin Hayward as vocalist is however from the project War of the Worlds by Jeff Wayne, Forever Autumn.
Thanks "MerchantOfAlba" for the good music from Moody Blues! The original is from 1967 - Love and peace - in the Beat Generation with Hippies all over the world. Best greetings from Germany in 2023! 🤗👈
Love these guys im in my 60s and i love alot of different types of music
You two are so sweet together! Your love for each other makes this reaction one of my favorite ever! Never lose that twinkle in your eyes! 🤗
They are the best blessed to have seen them perform twice in the eighties, my main man Ray Thomas the flutist was called the Veteran Cosmic Rocker...love you guys so enjoy your reactions.
I already loved this song when I was a kid, what can I say I was a melancholic child 😅
you guys are making me laugh listening to your conversation!
My favorite group. This is from my all-time favorite album "Days of Future Past".
I have always loved this song, for some reason, as soon as I hear it, I am transported to Renaissance times and castles and kings and queens, its such a strange feeling, but it happens every time as soon as I hear a few seconds of this song. Love it!
Great reaction I hope you guys have checked out the studio version also. Keep up the great work!
I just have One thing to say..his eyes says everything. He loves you! If he can Sing, maybe he can,...he says all day to you hehehe
I enjoyed ALL of your reaction!
one of the best live versions, check out the full studio version with the spoken word in it. the Moodies music takes you places
Most consder this performance to be a Masterpiece. I bought there first album on LP when it first came out. And every one since. Saw them live at Indianapolis, not sure of the year now, but can look it up. Just almost as good then though a rain and windstorm at this outdoor theater messed with us and we all had to take cover for a bit. They came back of and did a great job. Then about 25 years ago, I converted all my CDs (bought them too) to MP3, and they are on my phone, PC, in my car, etc. I never get over this great music. Also a fan of Dire Straits (Mark Knopfler), Santana, and more. Also, I think Justin wrote this song when he was like, 19 or so. A forever song.
Great song from a great band. Classic sixties rock.
Listen to the bearded one, missis. A good song you can listen to plenty. This one is one of them !
RAY THOMAS WAS A GREAT FLUTE PLAYER IN THE MOODY BLUES BAND AND JUSTIN HAYWOOD SINGS THIS SONG AND HE SINGS A SONG CALLED I'M JUST A SINGER IN A ROCK AND ROLL BAND AND THE BASS GUITARIST SINGS A SONG CALLED ISN'T LIFE STRANG A ND HE WAS A GREAT BASS GUITAR PLAYER IN THE MOODY BLUES BAND AND I'VE GOT A CONCERT DVD CALLED THE MOODY BLUES BAND AND IT WAS VIDEOED IN THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL 😁
this is my generation, love this song. I love you guys, no matter what you react to I try and watch you. No you don't talk too much, 1st because you're reacting honestly, and doing a great job, but also don't mind you talking because you're both so sweet to one another, even when making a little fun of the other. It's so cute. keep just being you. .. .
Love is good.
Always great I don't think you will ever let me down bless be
Such a beautiful song.Thank You.
I love your reactions and Dominika's smile and stories.
You two are a real treasure. I appreciate your interaction with one another.
I love people that get excited about music or a song. Great reaction
Loved your story 🙂
And I did listen until the end and I loved hearing about you childhood music and how you grew up to love classical music 🎶
I’ve seen this amazing band live three times . Sheer genius.
I listened to this group a lot in high school. My sister bought me their album Seventh Soujon. I saw them in concert in Hawaii in the early 70's when I was stationed there.
Love your reactions, This is one of my favorite bands and songs, I have seen them many times in concert. They are wonderful,,,, You should react to more of their songs. Love you guys!!!!
A classic old English song and this is one of my top 10 live performances ever. Beautiful lyrics, great band and the orchestra adds a dream quality. Thanks again for you reaction. Love from Australia.

By the way, I watched right to the end LOL. And you are correct, music is all about the memories they create. I always look forward to your reactions, especially Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham.
Great reaction. Thanks.
Very sweet. Thanks!
I love your innocent arguments and your honest reactions.
This song, and "Unchained Melody," were probably responsible for many, many pregnancies. I hope they were all happy.
Unfortunately, now, on the internet, you can read people's interpretations of music that the artist never intended. Tuesday Afternoon is a completely different song than The Evening but is put together as one song on the internet by those not understanding the albums. The album Days Of Future Passed is a chronological order of a person's life. Others have put the meaning of a lifetime on the album, but all music is up to the listeners interpretation. The very beautiful high voice on the last part was John Lodge, the bassist. The other singer was Justin Hayward.
You will be surprised i like to see all the comments
No you don't talk too much. I watch your channel to see how you will react especially to songs that I am familiar with. I love your facial expressions.
San Antonio , Texas 🌞😀😉
Sorry I'm late to the video, but what a great reaction to an amazing song and group. I wish I could go back and discover them again. They have many great songs to discover and I hope you get a chance to review some other of their hits.
I love watching these reactions videos of responses to the Moodies, and yours was wonderful. I have known and loved this song for decades. The singer wrote it when he was 19, and his voice can still do it justice. Someone mentioned it reminded you of birds singing, so check out their song "Voices in the Sky", where the flute mimics a bird singing in the chorus.
❤❤
Back in the day... You two are funny... Reminds me of my wife and I...
The music from the theme Of the movie. OUT OF AFRICA is also extremely beautiful . Please give it a listen .
Saw them in March. '70.
I love her.
Just came across your channel.
You must listen to the album days of the future past the song will make perfect sense
It looks like they are playing at the the Royal Albert hall in London with a full orchestra , look them up plenty of great songs on the recording on KZread. Dustin Hayward ( lead singer ) sang on " War of the World's" singing " Forever Autumn "
I Think this is from the album “Days of Future Past”, think you would like the complete work.
I think there was a popular movie trailer.._..Back in the day that had this song partly in it. The song was in the movie but if you never saw the movie but maybe heard the trailer, if not from a radio or tv.
