There have been movies and stories about a monster, be it a creature, machine or some kind of phenomenon that was created by some madman for doing evil to others while benefiting it's creator, but in the end the monster becomes so big and/or powerful that it's creator can no longer control it and is consumed by it as well.
Perhaps little by little some "madmen" hungry for power and masquerading as "saviors" from, oh say Democrats, the LGBT crowd Roe vs Wade et ceter yet once they have what they need, they'll prove to be something far worse than what are claiming to deliver you from. It's nothing new. Think of the movie "Broken Arrow"
