Man this story HIT close to home. I’ll briefly mention why. In 1987, on Morrison Ave near Soundview, I was about 4 years old in a household with my 2 older siblings and my younger brother. My father, who would severely abuse me, my younger brother and of course my mom, decided he just wanted to kill all of us. So he grabs a kitchen knife (he was a cook for a restaurant in Little Italy) and starts to stab my mom in the chest. My older brother, hearing my mom scream for help, lunges at my Dad where he too suffers stab wounds. Ultimately he wrestles the knife from my Dad and he runs to the bedroom and locks himself in there. We run to a neighbors apt for help and they call the police. Eventually my Dad was arrested but the shit justice system had him out on the streets looking for us within just 5 years. My mom are brother are both alive and well but still suffer from the trauma of that night and the years afterwards. Everyone of us still does. These stories are HEAVY and stay with the victims and survivors for the rest of their lives. RIP to Wanda and God Bless you Yalitza and every single person who has been affected as the pain heals but we ulimately have to survive and thrive but it never goes away.

I am tired of the police not taking POC’s cases seriously, just throw us aside. Just saw another case where the NYC treated a kidnap victim’s family terribly. They found her dead but when the family said she was missing and where she was possibly at, she could have been saved. Then said they did all they could do.

When I was ten my also 10 year old cousin who was white went missing. He was home alone with his POC stepfather while his mom worked. His body has not been found and his case barely caused a ripple in my hometown. The stepfather was released without charges because there was no body. One year later my cousin's mother had left this man and given birth to their daughter. The baby was one when he came back and he kidnapped mother and child. He drove them around for over 24 hours, stopping to beat the mother and SA her in every way imaginable while the one year old baby girl was seatbelted in the backseat with nothing to eat or drink, sitting in a urine and feces filled diaper, viewing her mother's beatings and sexual assaults. He eventually drove them back to their neighborhood and released them. He claimed he was mentally unwell and put into a mental hospital for a,period before being released without charges. A white mother, white son, and interracial daughter with a black man who caused death and chaos and walked free. You really need to use your brain and ask yourself if you never heard my cousin's story until today is it possible that there are thousands of examples of POCs who have gotten away with murder and white victims who are nameless, faceless, their stories lost to time? And plenty of POCs, including on this VERY CHANNEL who have committed atrocities and given free passes! My cousin's name is Taj Narbonne if you think I'm just telling a fable to prove my point. He was a real person. He never got justice and never got the care of a police force and community endlessly searching. His little body is out in the world, long since wasted away, maybe eaten by animals, maybe melted into the earth, or washed away by a river. GTHOH with your "POCs never get any attention" BS. You sound ignorant. The way it works is, the people in the family and community are RESPONSIBLE for making sure justice is served. Maybe it's POCs in the community who need to pull together and stop WAITING for everybody else to help them! Nobody pulled together for my financially unstable young cousin. Nobody special. A nobody to anybody who cared. The actual racism comes from people who sit on their behinds complaining. That would be you.

The narration of this story is wonderful.. However, I’m confused. Wanda said, “he wouldn’t hurt a fly,” yet he was constantly beating her & her children, on top of the daughter saying he was also sexually abusing her too ! Yet, she continued the relationship with him, letting him around the girl, & didn’t believe he would be capable of worse ? Also, why didn’t the aunt call the cops if she felt her sister was in danger ??? I feel like more should have been done. The pd should have utilized the internet too, as soon as they found out about it. I also see why he was a shi++y individual. He had a shi++y, enabling family smh. They should have verified his story, and been more sensible to believe it was “self-defense.” His family later on tells him, make peace with what he did. If it was self-defense, why would he have to make peace ? Then they never asked about his children, or encouraged him to reunite with them ? Smh they knew, & it’s disgusting. They’re all gonna pay on their day of judgment too. But this is a serious message to women, especially Mothers. The 1st sign of aggression from a man, should be the only. U & your babies safety comes 1st, no excuses 🙏🏽🙌🏽

And the strength Wanda's daughter has shown is so amazing, to overcome insurmountable grief to continue to fight for justice and essentially shout from the rooftops to be heard. Thank you for bringing attention to these amazing women.

Forgot to mention that you're by far my favorite channel man. I have watched many podcasts and channels about murder mysteries etc ain't none like yours. Not only do you get straight to the point you show-vids, pix and sure as hell don't waste time, unlike most channels I've watched it gets old and boring I end up having to fast-forward their vids just to get to the end. Glad I came across your channel man!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🤙🏽

You shed light on so many stories-unlike any other channel/news report/newspaper -and you bring what’s missing today-GENUINE SINCERITY and EMPATHY. From your words to actual pictures and videos-you give their stories LIFE again and honor the lost persons and families. Thank you for what you do. A lot of these crimes would have been forgotten or never even heard of outside of the boroughs and neighborhoods they took place in so again-THANK YOU ❣️❣️🙏🏽🙏🏽
