I remember when they found Jessica’s body. We could see the Bronx River Parkway from our apartment. It was filled with police and tons of vehicles. I was only 8 looking out the window and my grandmother was explaining to me what happened. I still live in the same apartment and every time I look at the Bronx River Parkway, I think of her.

Growing up in the south Bronx my mom use to be very protective. As a child I thought she was exaggerating, but as I got in to my early teens I began to understand more of why. Yes NYC is a place where you have to be vigilant and street wise to survive.

My whole family knew Alex. He used to hang out with my uncle and cousin from when they were teens. I was in the same car he killed shamira bello in the same day she went missing. It’s crazy. I believe he would have killed me had I taken him on his offer to ride around the block in that Mercedes. Scary. May all his victims Rest In Peace.

I grew up in Story Ave in the Bronx. I was a year younger than Jessica and I knew her. My older sister knew her brothers. My mom was already super strict. When Jessica went missing, she was even more strict. I have kids of my own now and I get it.

Poor baby, she was so pretty. I remember going to her funeral. I was 8 when she died, and we went to the same church her family went to. It was a sad day, and i remember seeing her mother crying, and it broke my heart. Now that I'm a mother I understand her pain even more.

Wow!! This story is insane. I'm from the Bronx and remember how I used to move around so freely as a child with no fear. Looking back NYC has always been so dangerous.

Yea this is one of those cases that it gets me upset the more stuff I find and think about. So many people knew that child was suffering and chose to ignore it. I have a video of a woman saying and I quote "It wasn't what I saw, it was what I heard, because the things I heard coming out of that apartment weren't normal. It would go on for hours and then out of nowhere just silence. And I'd finally say to myself 'thank God, now I can finally get some sleep.". This came from a grown woman. Absolutely insane.

😭 I'm glad that the piece of 💩 is no longer a nightmare.

Brings me to tears every time. I knew Jessica's family and was very close to two of her brothers who were like big brothers to me. I am a Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Alumni & attended vigils in her honor to say the impact that her loss had on our community was great would be an understatement. This changed every way we did everything. As kids we were so frightened & saddened by this. I can still picture all of the yellow ribbons that were tied to all of the trees in her honor. I will never forget this angel. R.I.P Jessica 💔

Raised in Brooklyn, went to school in Harlem at some point so it means a lot when I see these stories bc there was a reason I was never really allowed to leave the house as a child. NY has murals everywhere bc a lot of people died of tragic ways (Especially in the 90's). According to Tik Tok, Jessica's mural is still up.

I grew in the Bronx and went to that school. I knew her brother Enrique and we were in the same class together this was a very unfortunate situation. I pray that the family received closer and everyone is doing well. I tell my lady the Bronx is the roughest place in the city. I moved to VA 22 years ago and as much as I love the Bronx I could never move back.

I grew up in The Bx. and Bk. but have lived in all 5 boros. I love the city but you can't pay me to go back to live in the Bronx.

Not a real NYer, although I did live on the LES (punx!) in the early 90s. From Philly and craving the big city. (Not Kensington, though. It's the only place in Philly I can now afford.) That said, I'm in central KY and would deeply love to trade places with you. You down?

I wasn't allowed to leave my block because Jessica was all over the news back then and my mom was really afraid for my safety. This was when my parents first explained the stranger danger concept to me, i couldn't believe that people so sick and evil existed. Her case left it's mark on my heart since we were close in age and from the same area. I always wondered if her case was solved and this video she'd light on that info, thanks for making this. My grandma never let me leave her sight and I never fought her on leaving her side because everything she said I knew was true, I was definitely a different breed as a child I was not at all fukin with ppl and still stay away til this day

I went to high school with her brother who was with her the day she went missing. THIS BROKE ALL OUR HEARTS. Kinda brought back those feelings watching. Bless u and this channel

I grew up in Brooklyn and remember this story. I have an 15 year old and this world scares me. It breaks my heart to see stories like this involving children.

You will never run out of material for your videos. Even if no more murders happen you would still have years worth victims to talk about. This is way scarier than any paranormal videos.

My aunt lives right near by where Jessica lived at, and I see her muriel near my job site at castle hill. So sad, this is a very painful sad case. Hell has no mercy on child killers..

Even in her death she was bringing people together and making a change-heart breaking story May she rest in peace ♥️

I remember this! I was 15 at the time and cried watching the news and hurt in the community. Grew up not to far from there. However, as i watch this now i feel a different pain as a mother of a 10 year old girl now who eerily resembles Jessica. SIP to all the victims...

When I was in 3rd grade there was a mother daughter murder at Mitchell Projects. That was 1983 I think. We went to PS 154. I always wondered what happened. All of our freedom was removed after that. Church and the library and school. I hope everyone finds some healing. ❤ Thank you for telling their stories reminding the world they existed and mattered. May they be at peace amen 🙏🏽

It’s the fact that I’m the age of most of these kids and remember all of these stories. NYC was very iLL equipped at one point when it came to protecting kids. Some agencies just didn’t do there jobs. I’m a Brooklyn girl (87 baby) and my mom had to talk to me about a lot of these situations and she didn’t hide much from me at 7,8,9. I’m grateful she was so straight up with me because it caused me to be cautious all my life to protect myself. But you explain these with great respect for the victims and with all truth. I’ve binged every video it’s been 2 days and this my last vid. Your doing great. Ppl have forgotten about a lot of these cases, surprisingly I haven’t. Keep up this good deed.

My mother was baptized there

I was working on the roof of Union Hospital when nypd swat team snipers came to guard the pos that murdered a few other beautiful kids. As a police officer was escorting me to the basement , she told me that a serial killer was being allowed to see his dying father that was in the icu and that the hospital was on lockdown. The elevator stopped at the basement and I saw the little prick. All I could do was give him a look of disgust and give him the finger. RIP to Jessica and all those beautiful kids and peace to their families and friends.

I was 8 years old when I first heard she went missing. I remember hoping and praying they would Find her Alive and well. My heart was broken when I heard what had happened. To her.This story haunted me For So long and never forgot about her. It honestly made me more aware of My surroundings until this day.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I have an insanely long lost of even more forgotten cases I'll be bringing to light very soon. Sad to say they only get worse, but I feel I have a duty to tell these stories. Most of these if not all are cautionary yales and can be avoided. Many situations have big red flags that need to be known and learned about. Some other situations are just plain evil and just happen. Which is just as bad. Life in this city is a trip.

I was there in the projects of castle hill when this tragedy happened. Her school was right across the street from my building (2160) About a week or 2 after this happened a classmate threw a party at her parents home. One of Jessica’s brothers showed up. Think he was my age or a year younger so around 12-13 years old. We all hugged him and spoke some but he began crying and ran off with a couple of the girls running after him. We were told that the family wanted him to go to go to the party to try to get away from all the sadness. I never saw him again either. Anyhow thanks dude for all your hard work and great content. Bout time someone is dedicating their time on here speaking of little known NYC crimes. Thank you and please do keep it up.

I just wanna say that Jose, you are absolutely killing this. You tell these stories in a way that gives enough information but without sensationalizing it. You make it very clear that these people aren’t headlines, they were people who were multifaceted and lived life until it was taken from them. Idk how else to explain it but you’ve really done an incredible job. I notice you mostly do New York cases as that’s where your from. I’ve thought a lot about starting a channel about Philly cases because that’s where I’m from and there are SOSO SOOOOO many just insane stories that happen like so close to me, some of which like a block or two away. And they get barely any media coverage. Start with the brutal rape of the baby girl in Fairmount by 2 dopers trying to do a robbery. I was coming home from clubbing all night to see one of them rinsing himself off in a fire hydrant at like 6 in the morning. The baby lived, had to have extensive reconstructive surgery on her lower parts, and I've always wondered what happened to her.

I just found your channel. I have a 9 year old daughter 7year old son and a 2 year old it’s stories like this that make me pick up and drop off my own child at school and any activities. I grew up in Bridgeport ct only 50mins away from the Bronx. It’s a ruff neighborhood too I think of as a teenager I took trains and buses to the BX very fearless. But as a mom now I’m more protective. I will always be on top of my kids because it doesn’t matter if they go to private school, or a good school there is always someone watching your kids. We need to be helicopter parents. There are more and more of these monsters just waiting for our kids. Also single moms please watch your kids with strangers to them because we are targeted always😢

When this case happened my mother asked me to pick up my sister everyday from school and to never let her go out by herself. RIP Jessica! Yes., I remember this. My friend (classmate)nilda, along with her male friend were kidnapped and then chopped into pieces. She could only be identified through dental records. Heard it was suppose to be a male adult family member of hers. We both attended either c.s. 152 or junior high school 123, by westchester ave(6train). This was the eighties.Yes hard times indeed !!8:04 that is her nilda…. I sat in class with her. She was my friend. She was so beautiful and well developed for her age. She was so cool, very nice young lady. I remember our home room teacher telling us that she would not be coming back. The teacher really did not get into detail, but the streets talk. Wow, cried… that situation messed me up til this day. I cannot look at her picture. She was my friend. Also Lisa Rodriquez lived on the second floor of the same building as myself. I cannot believe that I found this. I always think about them and tell they’re story even to this day. I always wonder what they could have become. If they would of had a family of they’re own someday. Dag, this really bought back eerie feelings and memories.😇🙏🏽😌

You are truly so compassionate and empathetic, and most definitely respectful, when telling of what happened to these so very young children. And I appreciate the somber tone as well. I find it so distasteful when some of these channels crack jokes while telling these stories that are so tragic. The loss of a child, in such a violent manner, is nothing to crack jokes around. I remember going up in the Watson & wheeler Ave , Bronx area in mid 80's to the early 90's . Lots of young kids our age was going missing 😢

i remember this , i always pass by her mural. such a tragedy and so sad , god bless our children and may she forever rest in peace.
