An interesting thing to note which is not mentioned in the video is that mongols destroyed bagdad in year 1258 marking the end of abbasid caliphate. But during the same year 1258, uthman/Osman the son of ertugrul is born who went of to establish the foundation of the ottoman empire which ruled till world war 1. Subhanallah this is the amazing detail that many people don’t know about. That is the Glory of our Allah that when light of Islam dimmed in one place. It sparked from another place.

As a Muslim, given this and other types of attacks on our people historically, I ask Allah SWT to protect us from being materialistic and arrogant, diverting us from the real goal of worshipping Allah SWT and our desires. I think this is what happened to Muslims historically. We have to be vigilant and careful now too because of the weirdness going on with the practices of some Muslim sisters and brothers worldwide - stay away from shirk and materialism - the desires of this world.

Fun fact: The Mongols were predominantly horse archers being strong nomads (hunter gatherers) in the Steppes of Eurasia and lived in simple yurts. Their diet and Mongolian cuisine even till today is heavily red meat based (hunter-gatherer diet) - lamb, goats, beef, horse and sometimes poultry. During campaigns the Mongols used to primarily eat dried meat (which they used leave to dry outside their yurts) and drink milk, sometimes milk mixed with horse blood during marches (in animal skin pouches they carried with them) . This made them extremely strong and resilient, and the Mongols often considered grains to be the food of peasants. Even in rural Mongolia today, many people still follow those practices and that diet of predominantly meat makes them very strong to adapt the harsh climate of the Steppes. The Mongols started converting to Islam later under Berke Khan (the leader of the Golden Horde of the Mongols - which was the western horde of Mongols who conquered most of eastern Europe and parts of modern day Russia under Subutai and Jebe earlier). He was the grandson of Genghis Khan, and the son of his eldest son Jochi. Berke Khan (died 1266) (also Birkai; Tatar: Бәркә хан) was a grandson of Genghis Khan and a Mongol military commander and ruler of the Golden Horde division of the Mongol empire, who later effectively consolidated the power of the Blue Horde and White Horde from 1257 to 1266. He succeeded his brother Batu Khan of the Blue Horde (West), and was responsible for the first official establishment of Islam in a khanate of the Mongol Empire. After Berke's conversion and following the Sack of Baghdad by Hulagu Khan(his cousin and head of the Mongol Ilkhanate based in Persia) Berke allied with the Egyptian Mamluks against Hulagu because he was incensed at Hulagu for the indiscriminate destruction of Baghdad . Berke also supported Ariq Boke against Kublai Khan in the Toluid Civil War, but did not intervene militarily in the war because he was occupied in his own war against Hulagu and the Ilkhanate. And yes there were Mongol Christians (predominantly Nestorian Christians). Hulagu's wife was a Nestorian Christian princess. Al Mustasim the last Abbasid Caliph was a weak leader who was given to carnal pleasures and debauchery. Brother Bobby would love to see your reaction video on the Battle of Ain Jalut - the battle that saved Islam and stopped the Mongol rampage westward - it also effectively stopped Mongol expansion into Europe and saved Christians too because the Mongols had already decimated Poland and Hungary under Subutai and Jebe and destroyed the Kievan Rus. The conversion of Berke Khan to Islam and his subsequent war with Hulagu also stopped the Mongol invasion further westward into Europe. What happened to the Mongol envoys sent to the Mamluks at the end of the video is explained in the precursor to the battle of Ain Jalut. HistoryMarche and Kings and Generals on YT have short and detailed accounts of that battle. Love to see your reaction to that.

There were Christian Mongols more specifically Nestorian Christians who lived in China and in the far East. Due to the nature of the Mongol empire they usually allowed religious minorities to serve in their courts. However, they would usually use them for specialized roles like engineers for siege equipment or bureaucrats. That didn't mean they were tolerant as they killed milllions but that they allowed those who submitted to their rule to join their ranks.

Hello! I am Mongolian and wanted to give some context. We do not eat raw meat or raw milk. Traditionally, we dry the meats like jerky and store them in leather pouches (By dehydrating it it becomes very light and can be stored for many months.) As for milk, we ferment the mere's milk to kill any harmful bacteria, it can be easily done within a few days. Also, horse blood is a thing nomadic people do when they are low on food (we do not kill the horse). Nomads would let the horses gallop thus increasing their blood circulation and drawing small amounts of blood from a horse (usually 10 men would have close to 30 horses) There no such thing being cursed for spilling noble blood. In nomadic culture we worship the mother nature and the skies known as Tengerism (Tenger meaning sky). So because of that most honorable death one can have is dying without spilling your blood and soiling the earth. It is similar to Sepuku in Japanese culture.

A hadith narrated about ibn Omar may Allah be pleased with them, that he said: I heard the messenger Of Allah say: إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ بِالْعِينَةِ ، وَأَخَذْتُمْ أَذْنَابَ الْبَقَرِ ، وَرَضِيتُمْ بِالزَّرْعِ ، وَتَرَكْتُمْ الْجِهَادَ ، سَلَّطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ذُلًّا لَا يَنْزِعُهُ حَتَّى تَرْجِعُوا إِلَى دِينِكُمْ The hadith translation in : If you sell anything on credit to anyone, on the condition that you will buy it back for a lower price (al-'Einah), take hold of the tails of cattle, become pleased with agriculture and give up Jihad - Allah will make disgrace prevail over you and will not remove it from you till you return to your religion. And that's exactly what happened yesterday when mongols came and brought humiliation, death and destruction and it's been happening today since too many decades, Us, Israel Russsia China and All followers of other religions are picking on "muslims" of today because they're weak and pathetic with no Jihad, trying to convince others they're not terrorists while others are manufacturing weapons, laughing at them and manipulating them to surrender to their real enemy and fight real "mujahideen" in the name of "peace" and "fighting terrorism"

I read that Mongols were not Christians..they have their own traditional beliefs..Mongols reached their peak during the time of Gengis Khan’s grandson ruling (i forgot his name) and he accepted Islam with his followers. Just a fun fact if many doesn’t know..there’s a poem written by the the Chinese emperor tattooed in the wall of the China Great Wall and the poem is about Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. The reason of the poem written there is as the way of the emperor showing gratitude to the Chinese Muslims admirals and army who played the major role in defending China from the Mongols. The emperor was said to be asking help from the Muslim general since Muslims at that time were known to have experienced in fighting the Mongols.

an interesting fun fact that is approved by the researchers of Mongolia is that Chingis haan(Ghenghis khan) would join the battles against the enemies, and when they win he doesn’t change their religions. Their religions would stay as they are. And he don’t force them but bring them together by harmony. He didn’t kill anyone without any reason. He wasn’t that much slaughterer than some people think but he is very cold blooded person. But it is explainable. He was hunted down when he was very young, fought in a war, has to watch his siblings suffer. (not good english 🥲)

To answer your question, the Mongols are natively Tengriists, which means they worshipped Tengri (in their tongue, the Eternal Blue Sky). It was a very early form of Asian monotheism. China had a VERY similar native religion before Daoism and then Buddhism took hold. Even today, if you say 'Lao Tien Ye' to a Chinese person they know it means 'Old Sky Father' which was basically the same as Tengri in ancient China. Anyway, because the Mongolians were nomadic monotheists it was actually very easy for them to convert to other monotheistic religions. Christianity and Islam especially because both religions share doctrine and emphasize being tested/punished in the desert, and the Mongols essentially lived in a cold desert/steppe so this resonated with them culturally. Historically many of them became Christian because Christian missionaries penetrated deep into Asia first out of the Abrahamic religions, and initially they did not like the Muslims at all, perhaps because of the interactions they had with the Khwarezmians as described in this video. But as you know eventually most of them became Muslim.
