The Non-Canon Expert looks at how Palpatine never once wavered in his confidence that the Sith and dark side would ultimately gain power over the Jedi and light side, nor that the Galactic Republic could be weakened through the influence of the Sith, but then explains how a third necessary element envision by Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious to achieve the Sith Grand Plan would cause difficulty for Palpatine to envision the successful completion of the Grand Plan in his lifetime.
This is a Legends story for Darth Plagueis and Palpatine, as well as the political lineage of the Galactic Republic, with information primarily found within the Legends novel "Star Wars: Darth Plagueis." I hope that you enjoy it!

“We Sith are an unseen opposition, a phantom menace. Where the Sith once wore armor, we now wear cloaks, but the Force works through us all the more powerfully in our invisibility. For the present, the more covert we remain, the more influence we can have. Our revenge will be achieved not bulky subjugation but by contagion.”
The Jedi and Republic deserved to lose and get destroyed by Darth Sidious, because both groups were too blinded by politics
When he said Dew It and Anakin listened
Even if the Sith did not exist, the Republic was doomed to fall. All Palpatine did was make sure that it fell at a time and in a direction of his choosing, so that it would suit his designs. Without Palpatine, the Republic would have collapsed into chaos and violence, rather than changing into a powerful Empire. Palpatine destroyed the Jedi order and the Republic, yet ironically, he also saved the galaxy from a long dark age.
Palpatine is such an intresting character. He's evil yet so intresting..
Man a Plagueis/Palpatine prequel would be so unbelievably sick!
I left a like for
Palpatine had that personality where he would not be satisfied with just being a hidden Master of the Sith. Wow A Thousand Years pass where the Sith was patient and look to the Shadows Palpatine needed to rule. So his generation was going to succeed or fail. Palpatine was not going to add on to The Grand Design and not live to see the rewards
Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen!
Seeing how the senate truly worked on coursant, Palpatine knew just how corrupt it was and with his political knowledge and guidance from Plagueis he knew he could maneuver and manipulate the political system in the Galaxy with ease, creating opportunities to increase his own power and set the stage for the Jedi orders downfall, after all the Jedi were just as weak as the Senate in his eyes and where the Senate goes the Jedi follow, and thier obedience to the senate would lead to thier ultimate destruction..

Jedi: work at command of politicians
I love it when the topic of the day is Darth Sidious 😁 I completely agree that Sidious' arc in this novel was beautifully handled. I love the 1st few chapters of Sidious on Courosant, particularly his 1st Senate session! But him trolling Valorum in the Mastery section is priceless! "Baffling. I don't know what to think." 🤣 Thanks for a fun video xx
I wonder sometimes about Palpatine's free time.
Opera is a path to the dark side? I KNEW IT!
The jedi were overconfident and too blind to see Sidous plan. Great video
It was when
Guuud, guuuuud
For the importance of opera passes then. Great video. Thanks.
