Fair play to Villa, they came to do a job and did it, as a CFC fan, this wasnt surprising in the least, But hey man, get real, any team in the prem would have beat Chelsea today, and as for the ` big time` You`ve a long way to go for that. You played an out of sorts, low confidence, team who had james and chilwell as centre backs and loftus cheek as an attacking right side wing back ! and with 27 shots and zero reward, thats the bigger picture mate. Youve tougher matches to come and i very doubt `you`ll smash em all ` come on mate get real.

​@@thomaswood6115 well Deano knew where to play him he just couldn't really do it especially in the first season. McGinn was flying against Spurs in the first game but it wasn't sustainable at that point and we were playing a 4-3-3 without a proper DM for a time which curtailed it even further but Stevie didn't have a clue

One of the best VOT videos I’ve seen, a little bit of everything in 14 minutes. Does help that the day came together so well. Great day and battling performance, but not getting too carried away. Remember what usually happens when we get on an optimistic high. Can we just not do the Villa thing now and lose the ‘easy’ games coming up?

an away win on Tuesday at Leicester, while Liverpool draw with manager-less Chelsea.... and we leapfrog the pool as well. UTV. Happy days.

What a win! I was at the game, in a hospitality box, as a birthday present & as a London-based Villa fan, I was very excited. I was told the game was a sellout, which surprised me at first. The box was down in the corner overlooking the Matthew Harding stand. The atmosphere amongst the Chelsea fans was dead & then turned toxic - I saw a fist fight between Chelsea fans in the stand just below us!

Looks like the Kingfisher shopping centre🤣 40 odd years ago when Villa were at home we used to meet at 10am in the Swinging Sporran pub ( later called The Limelight ) in the Kingfisher as it was the first pub to open and it was nothing like Stamford Bridge, we used to get an atmosphere going. Mind you back then you could have got the average Chelsea attendance in a pub😎
