The cat got scared when it heard the name Schrödinger.

How is this _not_ the top comment in this thread!?
I'm a chemistry student and I understand it completely through the quantum chemistry courses I've followed

I only understand a few from my highschool chemistry class

I got an advanced Biology degree and can say this track is educational and awesome!

acapellascience/Tim is great because his stuff is so realistic I'm not a chemist but anybody with a 3d modelling program can understand the "109.47 degrees" lyric by playing around a little with geometry

You are a smarter person than I. I cried through honors chem in high school and got a B at the end of the year.

I'm a physics student and I only understood up until he started talking about sigma pi and all that jazz. I am impressed that you understood the Dirac equation bit right at the start, though - QFT seems a lot more advanced than what's necessary for a quantum chemistry course.
I have a bachelors in microbiology, and while we skimmed over the quantum mechanics that are described in the first part, everything from the first mention of orbitals on I understand. This song is another example of Acapellascience’s amazing talent in scientific understanding, musical theory, and lyric-writing. The seamless transition from quantum physics, to basic chemistry, to organic chemistry, to microbiology astounds me.
When you're a chemistry student so you actually understand sort of what's going on here😂
When I first heard this song, I barely understood anything. Now after 3 years of studying biochemistry it makes sense XD I can also recommend the songs Defining Gravity and William Rowan Hamilton by the same channel. They're also very good songs
this song is in heart of every engineer ( like the concepts of 11th and 12th chemistry specially the organic portion )
Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Biology in one video!
I maybe got 60% of the science - but I don't know he made the chemicals rhyme! Genius stuff
might be a bit late to the party, but I enjoyed your reaction, and your cat was adorable
This video sums up a good chunk of introductory chemistry courses imo. Very good song and excellent visuals.
I'm 14 and this just makes sense. Almost every part I understand
Have you seen Bohemian Gravity? It’s a Bohemian Rhapsody parody explaining string theory. But what you really should see is his Pluto Mars: Outbound Probe song.
yup, studied this shit when i was from 12-28 yrs.... great to know science is still sexy.
I'm a chemistry (physics and math) nerd. Learned all about the chemistry of th body, and although it was a long time ago, I can follow and understand what this song is about... but I wished I learned it this way 🤣 And "Love the molecular shape of you"
I am a dutch scientist , kinda though but understand this things. But i not gonne explain understanding is 1thing explaining the second xd
You missed important visuals because of that cat.
I love singing thee with me to the kids.... so ufnn, love you to brother!
4:25 starch granule?
As a first year bioinformatician i only understand orbitals and the part from 4:06 till the end of the song
completly lost too
I'm not a chemist but I have taken a lot of biology and some chemistry and biochemistry, and I start to really get it starting at like the second verse. The quantum stuff is too far for me though xD
Love your reaction! I love chemistry however i don't fully understand the proofs for the second shell at 2:49 nor the f shell that stuff is just too crazy for me right now!
Sor brilliant and fun, look for crispr cas-9
I first took chemistry in 1970. This is not how electrons and atoms bonding was explained then. had to watch 2-3 times to follow. Try the Einstein sock puppet Blais first posted up. Lots of fun but way over my head.
Way way Lost 🤣🤣. Still shaking my booty when hearing this song 😅. Nowadays you can learn almost every subject via music. I love it!
.....gone....
Am not a sciantice on any way but i understand IT because i love understanding the world.
🤯 above my head.. But great job!
Yes. I'm lost. 🤔🧡🧡🧡✌
