There are so many colors, so much detail in the layers of the mountains. And it all tells tales of the history of this beautiful desolate landscape. The Mojave desert is my favorite place on earth. The intensity of the sun to me represents a cleansing, a new beginning, the vastness of the skies speaks of the possibilities, and the emptiness of the desert gives me peace while the desolation of it all combined is simply just beautiful.
