Hello Steve, This is Boyd's wife "Diane" Thank you for your earlier tribute and I too am a big Halloween enthusiasts and agree Boyd loved having a fun Holiday, but was also a big advocate for cancer and truly felt a loss for Chris Cartell, I look forward to all the upcoming builds and Boyd would be so happy that you are keeping the modelling community active. Hi Steve. Thank you for the tribute to Boyd. I literally just saw him. On April 24th I met him. I'd purchased his Ultimate Space Battleship Yamato to help support his treatments and went to his house to pick it up. He looked great. He was in good spirits and seemed to be physically recovering and getting stronger. And, I have to say, he was so nice and the coolest older nerd I've ever met. He spent the better part of 6 hours showing me his workspace and his model room while we just talked about everything science fiction and the modeling community. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear he'd just passed away. I will treasure the time I spent with him, the model he made and how amazing his show was. He inspired me to start modeling again and his videos always had great tips on techniques and experiences shared. I will really miss him. RIP Boyd Crompton.

Aww, you're a big sweetheart, Steve. I knew you were choking up when you first said his name-- I'm still adjusting to the idea he's no longer with us. But-- that doesn't mean we can't celebrate him -- and his name -- in the best way which is to have a Crompton Halloween Model Shop thingie. The one thing Boyd mentioned was just how expensive things could be-- so I suggest a virtual Model Shop-- at least for a while. Post Pandemic Zoom stuff is all around. In the meantime, a Halloween subject, eh... ? Well, I dislike building to a deadline but sometime you just gotta-- !

His work was always inspiring to me, and just the shook of losing him so fast was there. I hope he didn't suffer. Thank you so much Elliott, I know you was a friend and big supporter of Boyd, and I agree fully about adjusting to his loss.
