I've had one for 3 years, use it almost every day. Now I have a bin of soft white wheat and a bin of hard red, plus homegrown flint corn. I just grind what I need when I need it, huge difference in flavor.
Thanks for the review!

I used the Wondermill electric impact mill for years and the cleaning, bulkyness, and the grind of the flour was why I switched to the Mockmill Lino 200. It doesn't heat the grain as much, and the flour is much finer. I find myself using it 2 to 4 times a week, making everything from bread to pasta. Thanks so much for your informative video.

The wondermill does have a bigger counter footprint but it is acutally cleaner. This is bc the flour is contained between the mill and the canister - the chute never needs to be cleaned unlike the Mockmill. Also, the Wondermill never needs to be taken apart.

@@beckypomaville694 the Wondermill is a good machine, no doubt. When I used mine I would have to put it away and take it out. That is a big perk with me for the Mock, I can just leave it on my counter. It really is personal preference. 😊

@@Tracy-Hart in Canada this mill costs 999.00 now. And 50 pounds organic hard white wheat costs 69.00 BUT all in all costs verses health and long term storage I think it may be an excellent bet for the future. Plus my daughter will inherit it when this old lady passes.🇨🇦

Very nice tutorial! I have a wonder mill also and did not like the noise and the canister made it too wide for the counter. My new mill is pleasant to look at and more ergonomic in it's use! If I need a bi more flour it's right there and very easy for me to make more! Did you have a recipe for 4 loafs of bread? If so could you repost it? Thanks Ron

@@Tracy-Hart I have been making a 3 loaf recipe and wanted to expand it to 4 loaves so I can extend out the time I have to make bread! I really needed all the measurements ( water yeast sugar salt oil and flour ) and I will fine tune it from there. I am using different measurements of the wheat flour. I am using five grains Hard red and white then lesser measurements of spelt eikorn and kamut

Thank you for this review. I have been driving myself crazy trying to find the right mill for my needs. I want one that can make superfine flour. I think this machine has come closer than most to what I am looking for. It is however priced very high at $798 which is more than i want to pay. Could you tell me why you chose the 200 pro over say like the Lino 200? or even the Lino 100?
@Tracy-Hart
3 ай бұрын
Well, I got a deal. I believe I paid less than $500 when I bought mine. So, it wasn't near what they cost now. There are some times when I mill a lot and thought that I may need the fan for continuous milling which is the main reason I opted for the 200. If I had to do it again knowing what I know now and if I had to pay what they are charging now, I would probably purchase one of the lower priced options. I actually want the Lino 100 for travel.....but I can't justify two of them.....🙈

Sure. It was either through Mockmill or Breadtopia. They are the same company but one carried the refurbished and one does not. I searched both sites just now and I didn't see it on either one. Hi David. Thanks for checking They do not, unfortunately. If I were buying again I'd probably just get the smallest one. I bought the big one bc of continuous milling but I have actually never done that. You may need the big one though. The brown exterior is pretty too.
Hey there! What’s the difference between the 200 vs 200 pro in terms of heat? Have you tried the regular 200 to compare?
@Tracy-Hart

I have not. The regular 200 doesn't have the internal fan. It isn't designed for continuous milling.

I had a Komo which uses the same kind of stones as this. However, small pieces of the stones came off into the flour, something you didn’t know until you Chomped down on something hard in the resulting bread. Horrible! So this is my fear when using a “stone grinder”. I bough a very expensive steel burr coffee grinder so I wouldn’t have to worry about this anymore.

Oh, that shouldn´t happen, of course! I use stone mills already for decades, a Komo Fidibus medium. In earlier Years i used a Hawos mill, same type of grinding system. Never i experienced any problems with the stones. And i also never before heard of that issue. So, everything is really fine with a stone mill! Did you know, Wolfgang Mock, the founder of Mockmill was a part of Komo company in earlier years. So both mill companies produce very high quality grainmills and are extremely experienced.

@@Tracy-Hart no, I don't think so. Maybe they weren't selling? 🤷🏼♀ They still make your Professional 200 but now they have the Lino 100 and 200. I have different wheats that I run through this mill. Depending on what I'm making, I can mill accordingly. You don't want to mill wet items like nuts with oils or popcorn kernels. You can check their website for a complete list of what you don't need to mill. I do have white flour on hand but seldom use it. We exclusively eat fresh bread. ❤
