Edwards officially made it!! Because even if he was to lose every fight from here onwards, he has his place in the elite. Being a champion, and then defending the belt on home soil to a hero's reception. You gotta give it up for the man. Hard work!

Leon unequivocally should NOT be fighting Colby next. If Burns beats Mas, it's objectively him. If Burns loses, Belal is objectively next. Colby flat out isn't even remotely deserving whatsoever. And thats coming from a pretty damn big Colby fan. But to say he should be next is f*ing lunacy

Speaking of people scared of losses- that will be Duckington who refused to fight Belal on the London card, yet he was in fight camp and in shape to weigh in. Duckington also hid from Burns. If you think Leon is scared, after beating Usman twice (who also beat Duckington twice) you are deluded.

Amazing episode. Jack and you were great. Ariel, a little tip, if you’re throwing to the right step to the left and throw. Also you’re not very good so throw to the left side of the board (towards the 11’s) as this is where you have three numbers over 10 all together (and hope for a treble) ✌️ 🏴
so happy for leon. ive been rooting for him alongside ariel for the past 3 or 4 years. i was one of the only brits i know who preferred him to darren till when leon fought gunnar. seeing him booed made me ashamed of uk mma fans but the truth always prevails. good always beats evil as khabib once said.

I don't understand people claiming that both for Dangerous Davey last week and Leon that a fence grab should result in a point deduction and a restart on the ground. 1.) It may not have gotten to the ground, or there could've been a scramble as soon as it got there 2.) The ref can't determine whether Usman/Assuncao would've landed in mount, full guard. half guard, side control, taken their back etc, so how can a ref decide which position to restart it in? Taking a point is the only fair way to deal with the situation.

Ariel literally just wants Leon to have an easy matchup next, he doesn't care who it's against as long as Leon is the heavy favorite. As an MMA fan, I'm just glad we're getting a fun matchup/lead-up, whether it's Colby or someone else.

Agreed 100% with Ariel GC and Rick regarding what's his face not deserving a title shot and that it can't be about who has the belt there has to be some meritocracy. Disagree with Rick even if they wait and announce it... still doesn't make sense and im not at all interested in that fight. Maybe if what's his face at least wins 1 fight first before a chance at the belt but no chance it makes sense as is.
How nice is to see a champion with such a friendly and respectful attitude like ALEXA GRASSO! Let´s give her all the credit she deserves, overcoming all obstacles against her to get the crown! Congratulations Alexa, well deserved victory and what an exemplary respectful attitude! A true role model!
Edwards vs. Usman 3 was an oddity. Usman was overconfident so he didn't adjust his typical gameplan (ex. wrestling and pressure strikes). Leon won the 2nd fight but for this fight he improved his gameplan to the degree that he won a decision (remember he would have lost a decision in the 2nd matchup). Usman might've had a chance to get his belt back if he would've respected Leon's potential and adjusted his game plan, while Leon showed the proper respect and humility so he worked hard to win.

Ain't broke, don't fix it. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever for Usman to go in with a different game plan. The only thing he needed to change between 2 and 3 was stay disciplined and keep your hands up. Usman's gameplan broke Leon down in both of their first fights, so he would have been an idiot to change up what he's so great at. Leon was simply the better man

dont forget the altitude. loads of fighters were fighting on fumes that night. leon won the first round and won of won the fight if it wasnt for altitude.

That's how Usman always fights and its always worked. Do you think hes capable of succefully switching styles (have you seen that before) and did you have something specific in mind that wouldve potentially worked better? I mean you basically just said Usman shouldve fought differently then maybe he wouldve won
Risky game Leon, wouldn't put it past Dana to whip that belt off you if you don't accept Colby.
I understand the mentality from Mokaev but if he is truly serious about his career he really should heal his body the right way. Ain’t no one going to remember a fighter whom body broke down at 25. And make no mistake. There are limits to what the body can take.

What they are missing with the whole Leon/Colby situation is this.. UFC doesn’t really like Leon as the champ of the division.. just look how they dismissed him before the fight this weekend not to mention talking about it was a draw (DC), that Usman won (Weidman) and not sure who won (Dana) after the fight etc… UFC wants Leon to fight Colby because 1. Sure, it will do great PPV buys (similiar to Leon vs Masvidal), but more importantly 2. Colby really is the best fighter right now of the names mentioned (if we don’t count in Khamzat). He has the biggest chance of taking the belt from Leon, that’s the truth and trust me I don’t even like the guy and the way he acts.

I agree with you on how suga was put on hold for his title shot but cejudo has been in the works to coming back when Petr Yan was still champion and I'm not a fan of cejudo as fighter but the reality is cejudo was a double champ who didn't lose the belts he vacated them cause he didn't have any clear challengers but the UFC didn't fight to keep cejudo because he wasn't a pay-per-view draw. And in all honesty Suga Sean is in the perfect spot for him cause waiting equals more training and overall better preparation, that will lead him to becoming champion. And when the dust settles and they look back at what was his keys to victory that will be it. Sometimes I think everybody forgets honestly how young Shawn is because he has been with the UFC for a while now.
Why leon edwards remind me of Geofry the Butler from Fresh Prince.
