Moms are a whole different breed when they are mad 🤣

The use of animation in this movie, as with Into the Spider Verse is just so good. They really utilise the medium in a way that you can't really do with live-action, and few animated movies have managed to pull off. Closest one is maybe Scott Pilgrim.

Can't believe this is the same studio that made Emoji movie. CANT WAIT for new Sony movies. Just amazing.

Turn on closed captions during the Furby scenes to see their dialogue; it's hilarious! This movie should have won at the Oscars, NGL. PS: My mom is definitely as bad with tech as Rick Mitchell.

The mom going “God Mode” it’s so damn funny. It never gets old. lmao. I love your reaction and yeah I also love the art and style of the movie. I’m lucky my dad is an electrical engineer and my mom works as a preschool. Using computers and technology is essential for their job lol. Also even my 80 year old gramma is doing great. She mostly issue her tablet to read books. But she loves shopping, emailing us, and watching movies and tv on it. She Probably watches lots of KZread videos. Lol

The scenes at the end where the mom freaks out are honestly some of the coolest, greatest and most hype scenes I ever saw in any movie or tv show.

This movie is comedic gold

Love this movie so much and it's themes; both of letting your kid grow up, and of differences in growing up with technology and without technology, that generational divide, not letting it get in the way.

This whole family is Neurodivergent!

This film is so good. I feel like it kind of got overlooked a bit during the past few pandemic years. But it's really good, the animation is great, and the messages are awesome and uplifting. I hope it gets a bit of a resurgence in the coming years, like so many other films have due to reactors, like you and Jane.

I had this exact issue with my dad. He was traditional and didn't get how a creative job could give me a good life. We fought about it all the time and it came to screaming matches and door slamming. We never resolved our differences before he died, he was way too young, he died at 59 from a really rare and fast-moving cancer 😢 I really regret that I didn't have the nerve to try and talk to him before he died.

i've always been close with my dad and this movie came out like right after i left home so of course it made me cry a lot lol

Yours has been the best reaction yet! And I feel with you, how this movie was SO much more than I thought it would be. It has it all, action, feels, nostalgia and tons of personality.

Sony has really come a long way towards finally making good content.

More and more people need to react to this movie. It deserves so much more attention! It's hilarious, fast paced and heartwarming.I thought it'd just be fun to watch, but, like "Klaus", it's a movie I rewatch constantly because it's just so wholesome. The score during the emotional scenes just tugs at my heart every time. One of my favourite things about the movie is that Katie was gay the whole time, but I didn't realize until the very end with the offhand line about her and Jade getting together. It wasn't trotted out to get media attention, pats on the back or anything and it just is great. Love Monchi finally getting to be a little gentleman.

It's not straight to Netflix. Sony sold the distribution rights to Netflix during the bug issue. They changed the name from whatever it was called to the current one, which I think was an improvement, the old name being super bland.

I love this Movie so much that is One of My Favorite Movies in 2021,I watch it with My Family and it has Heart,Soul,Imagination, Creativity,and Emotional Moments that made me Happy,Joyful,and sheedy me some Ties.

I really enjoyed this reaction, that's not to say I don't enjoy all your reactions, it's just this one was filled with such a variety of emotion. I loved it. Keep up the good work, hope to be as fun as you are on my channel. Also the song while Katie and her dad says goodbye is a song by the Icelandic band Sigur Ros called Hoppipolla and it always makes me cry. The melody is amazing and just elicits very strong emotions from me.

The killer black robot calls the mom "the Lavender One" 😆

Thought it would be a silly little movie, like some of those Netflix only released animated...turns out it was one of my favourite animated movies ever. Had me tearing up in the first ten minutes with the home movie of Katie and the Dad. Great characters, the movie is hilarious and sweet and heartbreaking. Monchi is the greatest dog/pig/loaf of bread.

YES FINALLYYYYYYYY!!!! I’ve been recommending this one since I found your channel forever ago lol. Thank you Alex for recommending it too! This is the hardest and most I’ve seen you laugh in awhile in a reaction :) I loved this movie and so many people don’t know about it. It’s a gem. I laughed out loud multiple times which doesn’t always happen for me anymore with films. The action! The sentimental aspect and multiple lessons to learn. The music! The animation style! The characters! The story itself! It just hits at 100 on every level of the film. I always recommend it to people. I love that you got a special connection not only being able to personally relate to it but all the nostalgia in the movie for us “older” people 😂 Also to answer your question you asked: my mom is terrible with tech. Terrible. Have to always video call and explain things in PAINFUL detail. My dad is pretty good but only because he has to be for his job lol he wouldn’t be otherwise lol Thank you for giving your thoughts on the movie. That’s always my favourite part. Also thank you for sharing personal details about yourself here. How you were into making movies, drawing and how you plan to raise your daughters and also about your daughter and how this channel helps her. It really does help the reactions feel deeper and not so surface level. 💜

In answer to two of your questions, (1) "The lavender one has found us" is what the robot says, and (2) Why didn't Rick get Mark, the Pal Labs guy out of his cell? Because Mark needed to have a #2 Robinson head non-slip screwdriver on the inside, which he didn't. Rick's screwdriver would do no good because there was no way of giving it to Mark. But Linda did have hers on the inside because she carried is with her at all times (at Rick's insistence). So the only one Rick could get out was Linda.

I actually loved this movie when I saw it!! So glad you are seeing it

Maybe this has been a pattern in other videos and I just never noticed until now, but I really liked the animated overlays throughout the video, like Katie helped make it. It was a nice, almost personalized touch to a fun reaction.

I graduate high school in less than a month, so this movie really hit me in the feels. I am not really ready to leave the nest. I know my parents are gonna cry and that means I'm going to cry and it is gonna be so sad when I leave. I've been fortunate enough to have a good relationship with my parents, my dad has been there always when I don't know what I'm doing in math, cars or whatever else is going on. The first time I watched the movie, I was sobbing because I know my time with my dad is coming to an end.

Watch this again once your girls are about to and have gone to college. If you think it hit hard when you watched it this time. I go back to the final fight all the time and definitely need your shirt.

Omg this movie is gold!

Loved that you loved this film so much! It was really a surprise when I saw it, too. Much like Into the Spiderverse, the mix of animation styles was super creative and gave it a unique flair. Plus, all the references for the 90’s kids!!! Particularly enjoyed the autistic coding on Aaron, the brother - it’s rarely done, and rarely done right. Don’t know if you noticed that, but since you’ve shared the fact that your daughter has autism, I thought if you hadn’t realized that’s what they were doing, it may be something to look for in a rewatch! While I wholeheartedly believe that Encanto fully deserved the Oscar it received, and it was my first choice by a landslide, this film would have definitely been my second pick. Excellent work by everyone involved.

The best of the movie was the furbys

I don't think there's much of a story for MitchellsvMachines2, they seem to have done all the character growth they could do. And since they're just regular people who lucked out, the movie would probably feel very rehashed if they fought something else (it's hard to luck out twice) But the creative team should definitely stay weird, hopefully their future passion projects get greenlit

Loaf of bread!

Lowkey annoyed that every time Disney pretends they're going to include LGBT representation in a movie there's buzz about it for days and then it always ends up being something like two unnamed women in the background holding hands or something and we're supposed to applaud them for doing the bare minimum. Then this movie has a lesbian (or bi) main character and I didn't see it talked about at all. Sure, it was at the very end, but I still think it's cool.
