    If you & your teammates are all skirmisher legends PLEASE DON'T SCAN THE INCOMING CARE PACKAGE. Let Pathfinder do it!!! You get no actual benefit from it other than knowing what's in it while pathy gets a -10% on his Ultimate cool down & an instant Zipline to use.

    Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment's popular battle royale game, offers a diverse range of characters with unique abilities. One such legend is Pathfinder, a versatile and agile robotic scout. Pathfinder's exceptional mobility and ability to survey the surroundings make it a compelling choice for players seeking an adaptable playstyle. In this essay, we will delve into the intricacies of playing Pathfinder effectively in Apex Legends, covering everything from understanding its abilities and optimal usage to mastering its movement mechanics and strategic decision-making. I. Understanding Pathfinder's Abilities A. Grappling Hook: Pathfinder's tactical ability, the Grappling Hook, allows for swift and dynamic movement across the map. Practice aiming and launching the hook to master its range and effectiveness. Utilize the Grappling Hook to gain high ground advantages, flank opponents, or create quick escapes. B. Insider Knowledge: Pathfinder's passive ability, Insider Knowledge, reveals the next ring location. Regularly check the map and communicate this valuable information to your teammates. Use the ring knowledge to plan your rotations and secure advantageous positions. C. Zipline Gun: Pathfinder's ultimate ability, the Zipline Gun, constructs a zipline for quick traversal. Deploy ziplines strategically to assist your team in repositioning or to reach high-value loot areas. Maintain awareness of enemy teams who may also utilize your ziplines. II. Mastering Pathfinder's Movement Mechanics A. Grappling Techniques: Experiment with different angles, heights, and distances to maximize the effectiveness of the Grappling Hook. Practice combining slide jumps, crouch slides, and mid-air turns to maintain momentum and confuse opponents. Utilize the Grappling Hook to outmaneuver enemies during engagements or quickly disengage from unfavorable situations. B. Vertical Mobility: Pathfinder's exceptional ability to scale buildings and cliffs provides a significant advantage in combat. Learn how to climb efficiently by alternating between jumping and mantling techniques. Employ elevated positions to gain a better view of the battlefield and engage enemies from unexpected angles. C. Zipline Placement: Place ziplines in areas that provide strategic advantages, such as high ground or hard-to-reach loot spots. Create a network of ziplines to facilitate quick rotations between areas or for a speedy escape during intense fights. Be aware of potential ambushes from enemy teams who may follow or camp on your ziplines. III. Strategic Decision-Making as Pathfinder A. Ring Awareness: Pathfinder's Insider Knowledge ability makes it crucial to keep an eye on the next ring's location. Plan your movements, rotations, and engagements accordingly to stay ahead of the encroaching ring. Exploit the ring's pressure to catch enemies off-guard or force them into unfavorable positions. B. Reconnaissance: Utilize Pathfinder's mobility to scout ahead and gather information on enemy locations and rotations. Communicate pertinent details to your teammates, allowing for better decision-making and coordinated attacks. Use the recon advantage to set up ambushes, predict enemy movements, or avoid unnecessary confrontations. C. Team Support: Pathfinder's Zipline Gun can serve as a lifeline for your teammates, providing quick escapes or access to vantage points. Prioritize team-oriented zipline placements, considering your squad's needs and playstyles. Coordinate with your team to combine Pathfinder's abilities with other legends' skills, maximizing their effectiveness. IV. Tips and Tricks for Pathfinder Players A. Use Survey Beacons: Take advantage of Survey Beacons scattered across the map to reveal the next ring's location and shorten Insider Knowledge cooldown. Familiarize yourself with common Survey Beacon locations to minimize time spent searching for them. B. Maintain High Ground: Pathfinder's mobility allows you to access elevated positions quickly. Claim high ground whenever possible to gain a tactical advantage over enemies. Leverage the height advantage for improved accuracy, line of sight, and control over engagements. C. Practice Grappling Combos: Experiment with different movement techniques, such as slide jumps, air strafing, and quick 180-degree turns. Combine these techniques with the Grappling Hook to maintain momentum and outmaneuver opponents effectively. Mastering these advanced movement mechanics will make you a formidable Pathfinder player. Conclusion: Pathfinder's versatile mobility and scouting abilities make it an exciting legend to master in Apex Legends. Understanding its unique abilities, mastering movement mechanics, and making strategic decisions based on your reconnaissance skills are vital aspects of excelling with Pathfinder. By employing the knowledge and techniques presented in this guide, players can elevate their gameplay as Pathfinder and contribute to their team's success in the fast-paced and competitive world of Apex Legends. Embrace the freedom of mobility and embark on a thrilling adventure as the robotic scout of the arena!

    heres a tip from a pathy veteran, if you hit a enemy with a grapple from the side of the grapple or on its way back you canpull the enemy to you, while your walking backwards! its harder to aim that than just aiming directly at them though, on my channel i have an example if me showing it can be using to hold somebody so they can't move by doing it then walking around a corner

    When you’re in a 2v1, and you don’t have ammo or a weapon (As pathfinder) doing a reverse faint will give your buddy a free kill. Maybe there’s a name for it already but it’s during a close up battle outside(maybe inside if you’re lucky) and you grapple at a downwards angle with the jump input(facing the enemy), normally this would fly you over them but if you can spin 180 fast enough you can maintain the jump velocity and return to or close to your original spot. If you need to reload or can’t really take the fight but are forced to, the enemy will almost always stand still and track you. Also, I didn’t see mention of the grapple jump. If you look almost straight down and add the jump input you can get some really useful height. This can reduce your grapple sound footprint while getting you height faster than quite possibly anyone else. Masters players will almost immediately infer what your grapple intention is but this makes it exponentially harder.

    If you make a doo do grapple, where you hit a ledge (not the one you intended to go but a random one such as a gate or box) if you spam R2 as you get into the “mantle” position (while still grappling upwards) you can get a jump boost again, saving your life from a dog water grapple attempt.

    extra pathfinder's protip: if you put a zipline on a place that lets you move forward at the end of the zip and the angle of the zipline with respect to the ground is between 30° and 45°, the zip will give you a boost at the end of it

    How about when we as a team have one guy on the enemy team really low, 50hp or less or even knock that player. Shouldn’t I as pathfinder grapple into that guys face, get a knock and at least crack the other two guys?

  • @kirEandEagles

    @kirEandEagles

    In my opinion it depends, how big is distance after your grapple between you, your enemies and your teammates, if you dont have any knocked enemies, even tho one is low you will propably put yourself in 1v2/1v3 situtation at close range which is risky.

    My secret Pathfinder cheese: Sneak up close range with two short range guns or a rifle and a shotgun etc. anything that can do high dps close range. Initiate the 1v1 as best you can with a solid beam. Most likely you will be trading fire. Both of you will inevitably be reloading or weapon swapping at the same time. Instead of relying on your quick swapping, do a grapple anywhere and spin around in a circle to evade the enemies second volley. Indoors/outdoors the more chaotic the better. They will waste their second mag into the air 9/10 times. Then all you have to do is end your grapple as close to them as possible, pull out your shotgun or secondary, and watch them panic as they reload both guns, weapon swap, wall bounce, wiggle strafe, whatever then can as you just stand still with a weapon ready to go. This method kind of hacks the order of events of a usual gun fight and allows you to essentially get guaranteed shots on an unarmed target close range every single fight. Its also the perfect method to deal with cheaters/predators/bad connection/etc since it levels the playing field essentially and avoiding the dreaded 1v1 aim battle. Its risky obviously since you need to have an enemy that cannot one clip you. I usually decide if this method is viable based on the enemies movement. If I see some crazy wall bounce tap strafe bunny hop I wont try this method on them. Also ideally if you can initiate without taking damage it's just even more oppressive. 20k kills on Path with a 2 kd makes me pretty confident that this is a legit way to play pathfinder and can be utilized with any skill level. There are some subtle variations on order and stuff too but the basic concept of using close range grapples to evade during a gun fight in order to gain an advantage is an essential Pathfinder skill. A grapple bounce can also be used as a faster variation. Also at any point you can easily utilize the grapple as an escape if you are taking to much damage or make a mistake.

    I think he meant the opposite, in that Pathfinder *looks* so much taller than everyone else including Wraith that he expected everyone else to be much shorter, as in Wraith would be 4'1 or something. That's why he said Pathfinder has to be 8 feet tall. Tldr Path looks like he's half a meter taller than everyone else so either his height is underreported or everyone else's height is overreported
