Another tip from a Vet : its not always about how to get the 4K, its about how to stay calm with 3K on 3-2 squads left. If more squads available, then you'll only fail if you dumb enough to get 3k fast just to die out of clumsy. Dying with 3,9k really hurts the first time.

My highest game was 2.6 k on vantage then I got new Kontrol freeks and within 3 days got a 3870 damage game and was so mad bc I had accidentally dropped onto a whole team:(((

I’ve noticed when I stop trying to delete teams so quick and just start poking until the team is left with nothing I get way more damage and it’s more fun slowly breaking down teams. Also ranked is nice for 4K because people be poking from distance for a long time

I played valk and had 2997 damege and got shit on by damege sponge gibby with a peacekeep, what a nice game

In my experience, any fight that lasts more than 30ish seconds is practically guaranteed to bring at least 3 other squads all holding W as hard as they can. If you get lucky they'll engage in their clusterfuck on the squad you are poking but it's just as likely they'll home in on your squad unless your position is really, really good. I used to think that defensive legends would help deter fast pushes and let you get more damage but most of them don't really help that much because you'll either deter them so much that they leave or they'll kill themselves on your defense, with the exception of rampart.

I've never found the charge rifle strat to be fast enough to actually get properly big numbers. You can easily level up a shield and hit 1-2k damage but pushing on to 3-4k is tricky. Also depends on the map and how hot people drop. If the server's down to less than 10 teams before you've really gotten going then it becomes hard to do poke damage without an enemy team just chasing you down. It also says a lot that the footage at the end is from back when you could stay in out of bounds areas for much longer - it's much harder these days to do any sort of rat strategy, both because of scan legends and there being so fewer hard to reach places.

It's true, playing slightly more defensively will definitely get you higher damage matches. My first 2.5k badge wasn't even intentional and it came from me practicing Rampart, so I wasn't being super aggressive. Also my random teammates were a Lifeline and Crypto so none of us were slamming Shift+W into any of our fights and it all worked out

If you find a good vantage point with vantage and if you manage to find a kraber it’ll give you an advantage

i got 3.5 on caustic and rev by accident, i wasn’t trying to get a high damage, just playing the game

That's how it happened with my 2k

I did a lot of 3Ks and also a 4K with bocek. Underrated damage farm weapon for a more defensive playstyle.

Pub match. Charge rifle... I would love to see 2 damage bages for pub and rank. Or even several for each rank. That wud be hella fun and would really mean something. I'v 3k in diamond 1. I get mates with 4k that are ... not good.

jitter aim also really helps. You dont even have to be insane at it but if u see someone standing still and u got an r-301 u can easily shred someone from 100+ meters with decent jitter aim. If your on pc i would recommend grabbing a flatline or r301 add a gold mag and a 3x or 2x4 sight and thats it and walk up the hill where u spawn and just try to one mag the dummies

@@RealShojin Depends on the range. Recoil has added randomness ontop of the repeating pattern, so it's impossible to control perfectly. At long ranges it becomes very useful to jitter. But the firerate is pretty fast so most people do it wrong. There's a crazy clip out there that Timmy reacted to of an insane one clip across the map with a 301 due to jitter aiming.

For me my random teammates just don’t understand the words “don’t shoot the last team I’m about to get 4k” resulting in multiple 3K games and I don’t equip my 3k badges

You play about 10k games and then make smurf accounts and nail the 4k, 20 kill, and 5 win in a row badges before level 9. You can also queue into less used servers with friends (not as teammates) and communicate to drop to certain area of map and farm 4k damage on each other.

the first time I actually enjoyed the game was when i got 3.8k and now i can even get 1000. the SBMM is killing all the fun in the game because i always get into 20b 4k pred lobbys in pubs its rediculous.

I had 3 4k games with wraith and uncountable amounts of 3k games, 4k is easy to get once you understand how to push fights properly and farming damage, The real challenge is the 20 bomb, it's much harder to eliminate 1/3 of the lobby than to get a 4k

@@nathanieldelisle425 Honestly ranked doesn't work for me, I usually go pubs. However damage farming is one of the best ways. Here are some tips: Land NEXT to a hot zone rather than in one (this will make it easier to farm kills and damage as a 3rd party) Don't spend too much time looting, get a decent gun and go, the rest of the important loot will be in the deathboxes. Don't finish off your enemies, never rely on kills to get damage, but rather, get some damage, let them heal, get some damage again (most efficient when in medium-far range) Lastly, play with friends or go no-fill. It will be much harder to get damage when having to take care or rely on your randoms. Remember, it takes a lot of luck to get 4k, so don't get frustrated if it's taking a while, and good luck!

Here's a better method. One evening, get thoroughly drunk, and only hot drop all evening. Make sure you don't play too well. Set whatever challenge you need to keep it fun, but perform terribly. Perhaps randomize your character picks. The day after, play a game with the G7 where you go damage from mid range. Never finish an enemy. Just hit them twice if they're down.
