Towns are dying all over America, not just Greenville, Ms. All those houses were new once. When I look at these videos I think of what they all looked like new and fresh. I don't know what has happened across the country or why, it just has. What to do about it is the first thing to solve. There must be people out there with ideas to put in force.

Leave. get out fast as you can. There's life out here once you cross over that bridge. No don't stop in Louisiana or Arkansas. Might as well stay in Greenville is that's your plan. Make it to Texas. If you don't leave, at least stay on top of your kids educational goals so you can help them escape. Pack them some Scott's Hot tamales, a dozen Shipley's donuts, and wish them well. They aren't coming back. Tell them to get you out as well. Good luck to all who choose to stay and fight to make it better. You are the real heroes.

Died when farming tech displaced humans. Many people left and a sparse population remains. There aren't enough people for businesses to move there. There isn't a lot of investment in schools, which graduates students who can't read. It's a really awful cycle. It's also a food desert in the middle of fertile farmland, however, not sure what the status of that land is after flooding in 2011 and many natural diasters.
