Amazingly beautiful. I love the history of the area. Do they feed the bison in the winter?

It is an incredible place for sure. The bison are not fed any supplemental feed during winter but are hardy enough to withstand the weather and find food. They are pretty tough animals.

Grew up hunting and fishing the area with my dad for 25 years- from Missoula. He just past unexpectedly and spread his ashes there. He told me for years that where he wanted to lay rest… couldn’t be more attached to this beautiful area.. unfortunately after he past away, I left Montana. But after I earn my $$ where I’m at, I’m going to return for good, it’s all the motivation I need daily.

I am sorry to hear of your fathers passing. That is a big loss in your life, but what a great place to have spread his ashes. I hope you get to return soon. Thank you for sharing your story and hope you will continue to comment and stay in touch.

Extremely expensive area due to the proximity to the lake.

It certainly can be depending on where in the valley. Luckily we are at the opposite end. Thank you for watching

Drove thru there on the way home. Because it's Reservation lands, Are there any regulations re: buying properties? Besides refuges, Do the tribes allow hunting on the land? Just curious. Looks like great pheasant cover on the refuge.

Thank you for your comment and questions. There are really no restrictions on buying land on the reservation as long as it is deeded and not tribal land. You can hunt upland game birds and ducks/geese, but no other hunting is allowed unless you're a tribal member. But hunting areas are not that far away that have no tribal restrictions.

I am sorry your one of the minority of the bitter Montanans out there. But that comes from bigotry and hatred for what you don’t understand and that is a shame

@@RedemptionRoad There’s a lot more of us than you think bud. Call it what you will but I understand perfectly. The locals around here can’t find or afford housing and they are struggling. They are being evicted out of their apartments because uppity rich assholes are moving here and buying out their complexes and turning them into high end housing for more yuppies. Then everyone wants to move to Montana and play farmer. Y’all are fucking up our way of life around here like a plague of cockroaches. Call it bigotry and hatred, I don’t give a shit! I’m tired of seeing the locals in my community struggle because they can’t afford to live in the place they were born and raised anymore. There’s a lot more if us struggling than you think so remember that when you call someone one of the minority asshole Montanans. Welcome to Montana. I don’t shit in your woods, don’t shit in mine.
