Now Herobrine has uniqueness and character that really made it feel like he was always there with you. Entity 303 on the otherhand, just as you said, is a cheap rip-off.

This all is bullshit but I encountered the "null" guy on my server with my friend close to 8 years ago. I was playing with my friend and he was shouting null!!! (i was in a box ive dug out in a mountain) then my box was replaced by stone and the server crashed. Still dont know what that was. He still claims it was null, but i couldnt even make out anything from the console cuz i was like 9 at the time.

Another thing worth noting is that back then, people were starting to view Herobrine as a good guy, believing that he'd been griefing us as a warning of Entity 303's arrival. It was a crazy ride.

Its so obvious how it was made by a kid, creepypastas like this always have good potential at the beginning but then it goes "But then it entered the real world and everyone started killing themselves" like they just have to pull out everything that is "scary" to them for the story and yet people still took it seriously

This video rocks. If you ever want to do a story on Null; I'm the creator of the original Creepypasta, though not the character! Null was created around the same time as E303 and I'm pretty proud of how the story was succesful and could talk about it sometime.

The best part about Herobrine is that hes simply a Steve skin without eyes, which makes it more believable than entity 303 which is just straight up custom skin

the worst part of this creepypasta is the "plugging in an anonymous cable and reading the source codes" like that is NOT how source code works in any way shape or form, source code is compiled into your game, it cant just be "read" and xbox 360's have security that would prevent a simple cable from displaying any game information anyways, and the source code they show isnt even source code, its more like console prints/traces

What I find most interesting about Entity 303 is that his existence sort of started a shift in opinion regarding Herobrine... A lot of people _feared_ Herobrine, but once Entity 303 came around, Herobrine was the one to actively appose him, becoming more of a protector or guardian rather than an evil monster. Herobrine started becoming more of a protagonist in many Minecraft animations all because of Entity 303.

"Which means Entity 303 could be part of the Illu*slight laugh*minati" I felt that as well 💀, truly terrifying

It has been such a long time since I've first heard about entity 303, as soon as the segment about its lore started, the burning house thing, its like memories just poped up inside my brain

Entity 303 is such a throwback, what a time to be alive

This video was basically just a huge nostalgia drop, I mean everyone knew about 303, Herobrine, Green Steve (ooh remember that one), and Null. Some even payed attention to the lesser known "Steve Saga" (mishmash of all the creepy pastas back then, with some seasoning of just random stuff) and this just summed up a bunch of the lore from back then. I never knew all of it (for example: Thespeed179). Back then with all the creepy pasta going around I was scared to enter a cave without at least 4 stacks of torches, in creative mode. I love these videos because they remind me about that era, but also show me the real story behind it, not the one everyone does (or doesn't) know. Also Opera GX = Best browser i've ever used

I still like the old entity 303 origin. idk, I find the concept of a mojang employee getting fired and then try to take revenge on them, especially now that the first part of that concept is more relevant than ever across the gaming industry

Entity 303 was so big back then that I had (still have) an Entity 303 box head that I used for a book week dress-up day back in primary school lol

I actually watched an Animation of Entity 303 fighting Herobrine cuz my friend told me abt it in school. I also wanted Entity 303 to win cause he looked so cool.

I feel like this story in the end tried way to hard to be scary, I think the creator wanted this story to be as mainstream as herobrine, but the problem is he tried to hard to do so he used unoriginal ideas even for the time, and basically made a great value version of herobrine.

This is a little bit of a stretch, but I think the video at 6:48 could be real not like paranormal or anything but maybe a bug? It looks the the chicken texture was UV wrapped to a player model weirdly, I could see this being a bug that could happen

I always used to watch the youtube dark corners on KZread as a child randomly about herobrine null & entity 303 and im still to this day fascinated by these characters from early Minecraft. I used to be so scared thinking these would show up in my game 😭

The vid is nice but this story is so bs some kid using an "anonymous" cable reading SOURCE CODE from a protected device nah I don't know how people believed that without proof, worst part is that source code != logs. Still fun but defo prefer herobrine cause no one affirmed it was real and we stayed in a mystery, thats what made it so big, where as here its just herobrine 2.0

I remember watching the Thespeed179's video on Entity 303 when I was younger. I found it quite fascinating.

It was prolly unrelated, but I remember playing PE a while ago with my brother on a LAN multiplayer world, when out of the blue we kept getting killed by another player. There was no join message, no username, and when we killed them they were gone for good. Although I remember them having an anonymous skin (the hacker mfs). We both still remember it, but I've looked it up and nobody has experienced this. It was like 9 years ago.

Oh god that’s scary. I thought my experience was bad. I was playing PE too, and I found a few little strip mines in the ground that I didn’t make, all ending when they hit stone. After that, I found a two by two tunnel in the side of a mountain (the kind Herobrine was known for) and I didn’t play for two weeks afterwards because I was so scared it was actually Herobrine Makes me wonder if there was actually something going on with PE back then, because my experience would’ve been around that time, about a decade

i dont really have a scary story but i remember that my sister told me that her and someone else build a diamond house in creative mode, then they set their gamemode into survival, they walked into a forrest and when they came back to the house it was exploded and fire everywhere. i dont exactly know if its a real story or just made up.

KZread just has to remind me of my time participating in the war against entity 303. This takes me back I remember the original creator and his friends making videos about this guy, and me watching with interest on this war I thought minecraft is really at its end around 2015(Sometimes I wish it was). I remember watching my world and making herobrine statue all just to scare off this entity off my world.

I think that entity 303 might have had a pitch black skin with red eyes and the "hood" and such were probably just iron armor for mob protection

I discovered entity 303 from a documentary and never forgot about him since. Pretty amazing how one kid managed to spread an ARG to the whole world and make it so far that his creation became one of the legends

When I was a kid I heard a rumor that 303 would leave a file named 303 in your minecraft folder if he joined your server so I always checked the minecraft folder after playing the game lol.

1:23 Floorp has RAM controls, though less precise, but it also has the option of an automatic tab sleeper thing. Plus I think chromium based browsers have it too anyway. I've noticed tabs greyed out on inactive Edge tabs.

Well, Some people had the idea that white eyes was what made the monsters by..uh..'laying' them. Mostly the spiders, Zombies were just dead people, same with skeletons, And as for creepers? they just exist. But Yeah, I remember them referring to white eyes as a female for that reason.
