Not directing this at the woman because I know nothing about her, but the mindset of summiting Everest for 9/10 of those who attempt it nowdays is "do I have enough money to afford it." It's not about being a great climber or extremely fit. It's about paying enough people to drag you up there during the short weather window. Again not criticising her specifically, but there's probably 20 Ted talks from people who've gone to Everest and almost all of them did it with O2 and Sherpa support as part of a massive expedition. That's not climbing Everest.

So many lifes could be saved if the climbers would make the right decigion to turn back...

She has a great story to tell, but she could leave out those motivational inspiration quotes from Instagram... it's a great mountain story, not self help lecture/life coaching...

I think going for an extreme climbing without having trained was very irresponsible. Let alone the risk you put yourself on, you put others at risk.

only Sherpas climb Everest as no one help them during the expedition. All those here talking on KZread are presenting themselves as they climbed Everest on their own. its sad when no one is mansion them and not thanking them enough.
