The MIND Diet for Brain Health with Leslie Beck

Leslie Beck is Medcan's Director of Food & Nutrition and a registered dietitian. In this webinar, Leslie focuses on the MIND diet. Developed by researchers from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, the MIND Diet has been tied to a slower rate of cognitive decline and a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease. You'll have the opportunity to score your own diet to see how closely it matches the MIND diet. Bring paper and pencil and learn more. Hosted by Christopher Shulgan. Funning a anti-inflammatory diet, antioxidant diet, Mind diet, Zone diet, Mediterranean diet, anti cancer, diabetes diet, Are basically the same. I just look up the health benefits of food I'd like to try. Lots of raw fruits and veggies.

I think the scoring should reflect the added benefit of "never" eating the unhealthy foods.

Leslie; great session. Loved the quiz and am keeping a spreadsheet of what I eat to see how (really) close to meeting the guidelines mind-diet-tracker. Have been talking about this diet for several years when I give a talk on dementia. Stay well, Karen Henderson LTC Planning Network.

Good effort and interesting results. Well done Perhaps you could communicate this with Dr Kenneth Moore, who I think is a Neurologist in Chicago....

Ketogenic Diet is used successfully for many brain disorders. I have epilepsy and use keto for control. Ketones have improved my health, immune system, triglycerides and epilepsy. BTW, Rush uses the Ketogenic Diet for alzheimers and dementia. The tide is changing on saturated fats and carbage. You may need to check facts with Rush. LDL is not as bad as high triglycerides and my HDL is is 145 and triglycerides 79. Sorry but I have issued with your misinformation.

Well IMHO she got most of it right but research has shown that red grapes are better for you than red wine (if you don't beleive me google it) also whilst fish and poutry are less unhealthy than red meat, they are still DETRIMENTAL to health for a number of reasons, especially due to pollution in the oceans and also the extensive use of antiboitics in poultry production.
