I think in the 80's people still had a basic sense decency instead of antropomorphising a polluting, obnoxious, loud, ugly, dangerous, predatorous pack animal that is the result of 10 millenia of inbreeding grey wolf descendants. Dogs don't have eyebrows & human feelings, nor human intellect. The fact I have to tell you this, is very sad. But nowadays we're all in fantasy, Disney, lalaland where everything is like we want it, everything that isn't offensive is offensive and everything that is actually offensive is considered normal, and people living in reality are looked at as the weird ones. Flat earther, dog person It's the same kind of mental disfunctioning.

@@jroxz5689 A bit of nostalgia for when we were younger is natural...whether or not times truly were better, we will remember our youth and the period of time before we had responsibilities (or as many responsibilities anyway) and less worries as 'better'. That said, I do not think the feeling that the times before the 2000's were better can be chalked up purely to nostalgia. September 2001 is when the collective soul of the nation died. All downhill from there. Then we fell of a balcony and 2020. We hit the ground but we're still rolling down a hill in 2021. I'm so thankful I chose not to have kids. The responsibility for bringing someone into this is not something I would feel good about.

As child born in the early days of the 80s, I didn't see this film till into the 90s. Never knew the name of the film, but now I do. "For Decades I searched the bowels if the net for you? And now at last I have found you." Thank you for this.
80s music will always be my favorite type of music
This music video has made me realise that Kim Cattrall & Andrew McCarthy didn't receive enough credit for their roles in Mannequin: they acted the shit out of the film! The concept for the film was absurd yet they managed to make it work and got audiences to really feel for their characters.

The Midnight is the closest thing to a time machine. Yeah, their music indeed moves faster than the speed of light and opens a magical rather musical wormhole thus transferring us back to the magical 80s...
It's amazing how The Midnight have covered the excitement of my falling in love, being happy with my girl and now getting over the huge void she left behind. Truly an amazing band they are.

The 80s must have been a great time to be alive. People had solid foundations, but were open to new things. People had energy for days, but knew when enough was enough. People dared to dream big together and did their part in making the world a better place, not only talk about how others fail to do so.

I remember watching this movie when I was little and thought it was such a cute film, very girly and Barbiesque. Even though I'm not from the 80's era, it all seemed so vibrant and classy. Women wore a decent amount of makeup, but still had some natural beauty and radiance unlike today's standards. You don't see the stylishness and aesthetics from the 80's anymore, sadly. The 80's definitely need a great comeback!
