Can anybody in the anglo Saxon world pronounce the name Medici correctly? The accent is on the e not the I Médici.

What you show (3:38) he's not the king of Naples. He is Federco da Montefeltro, duke of Urbino. The pronunciation of the family name, since they are the protagonist of the video: Mèdici, not "MedÌci".

Many last names were mispronounced in this video. First of all it's ME - di ci not Me -DICI. It's easier to just go ask an Italian when it comes to all the mispronounced names.

Correct. The Medici coat of arms are 5 red balls on a red field I believe.

Noooooooooo. Grand Duke Gian Gastone (named in honour of his maternal grandfather, Gaston of France, Duke of Orleans) died in 1737. Then Tuscany passed to his distant cousin the-then Duke of Lorraine (future Holy Roman Emperor and father of Marie Antoinette) .

That is Federico da Montefeltro and not King Ferrante of Naples 3:31

so many mistakes. The first time you show Cosimo the Elder, you infact showed a picture of Giovanni de Bicci. Later the 'ferrante' is in fact Federico de Montefeltro from Urbino...and than the typos viRtruvian man? boticelli with one t? franceso instead of Francesco?

You missed out vital information after Lorenzos”rule” Sandorola or however you spell it destroyed the gardens and had Lorenzos son Piero the unfortunate exiled. Sandorola then died after trying to destroy the Medici family. Other than that you covered this well

i would suggest you read up on them. this video left out some other members that were highly important,but may be considered illegitimate, like alessandro de medici...Kanye was probably talking about him,since he was of mixed race. fascinating to say the least

Giovanni Di Bicci was born in the 14th century ,but Cosimo, his son, didn't start the banking business till the early 15th century.

Because Gian Gastone was gay, he never married. He preferred fellas. So the line stopped there / WRONG. there are descendants from the sisters of Lorenzo. Lorenzo did have 10 children w/ Clarice Orsini....The Medici name now flows through the name of DiLorenzo.

This documentary is a joke! It speaks about the Medici family from the 15th century and starts the shot with a map from the 20th century. I stopped watching it at this point... :-(

I give her credit for her interest in the Medici family history. It's just that when doing a video like this, it's crucial that names are pronounced in their original form.

Narration on a fourth grade reading level, seriously, if you're going to try to make a video, at least spell and pronounce the names correctly!
