At 67 I have never witnessed an artist as passionate, brave and strong than Ren. My son has mental health problems, and after years of physical ones and the isolation of covid and disability so do I. Media do your job properly or get out of the game. You cannot call yourselves news channels when you spend your time attempting to destroy something you clearly know nothing about. Ren is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise poisoned world. Ren, if you ever read this, hugs and love from an English northern lass. keep on keeping on. You are an inspiration.

I recently retired after 43 yrs of being a therapist: working with teen & adult addiction, children of addiction, PTSD via childhood traumas, domestic violence, veterans in combat etc.. Ren has been such a breath of fresh air for me & so many people, I thought I might die before I would be able to witness moving musicians again like in the 60's/70s of my youth...then came Ren. I have recommended Ren to therapists & "patients" before I recently retired. I have watched & rewatched all his videos & at follow at least 30 reactors. From the beginning I have read comments about how Hi Ren & Sick Boi led people listening to Ren to go into therapy or to return to therapy, a couple even commented that after listening to Hi Ren, they chose hope vs. suicide death.

I second this, you should respond on CNN as a professional. It’s been beautiful seeing people, especially men who are far too silent and isolated about mental health, being open about their trauma and telling other to find somebody to talk to, even to contact the reactor if they had no one else. Men of different ages and backgrounds talking about mental health is something people have tried to normalise, and Ren has done that. He deserves recognition for this.

I am 45 years old, and for the last 30 years my body has been attacking my joints, resulting in the total fusion of approximately 30 joints/vertebrae and the soft tissue between my ribs. When I first heard Hi Ren, it gave voice to pain and depression that I have lived with. Ankylosing Spondylitis, my autoimmune disease, is so unheard of that it took 13 years to diagnose, which left me alone in my world of pain that showed no outward proof of its existence, even Members of my immediate family doubted me. They preferred the narrative that I was just lazy rather than try to fathom what was actually going on with me. So I stand here today just as Ren does, "made to be broken and beaten" in full defiance of my disease to let you all know, his words are a beautifully written echo of my life. I will finish this rant with this statement, The modern media should remember they live in a time where context is everything, before you start spewing false truths and misrepresentations to sell what ever BS political motivation is backing your channel, you used to be trusted and revered for telling the truth backed by facts, your words carry weight and consequence and you will be held accountable by the law and humanity. Ren, my brother, exercise your legal rights and keep on kicking @$$! @knoxhill, thank you for standing up for what is right!

I'm 42-years-old and suffer from severe Major Depressive Disorder and a multitude of anxiety disorders. These disorders have been treatment-resistant for over 20 years now, and have left me unable to work or function normally for 8 years. When I first saw the "Hi Ren" video a few weeks ago...something within me changed. Major Depressive Disorder leaves sufferers with a complete absence of hope. We feel alone, and the internal monologue from "Hi Ren" is what I struggle with literally every second of every day. I have to distract myself with music, video games, tv, movies, etc., just to drown-out that destructive internal war that's constantly trying to destroy my psyche. I'm not even a fan of rap (sorry...I enjoy a little of everything...but hard rock is where it's at for me), and "Hi Ren" has become a sort of daily therapy for me. It reminds me that there IS still hope, even though every fiber of my being is telling me otherwise. I'm learning to "relax...and to soften". I'm learning to view my mental illness as a "dance", rather than a "battle to be won". I'm not going to claim that it's cured me...that isn't possible with mental illness...but it's certainly offered me a perspective I'd never considered, and that perspective is helping me cope better and better every day. I WISH I'd heard this song in high school...or even in my younger teen years. If I had...who knows? Maybe I'd have been better prepared for what was to come? CNN should be ashamed. ANY critic of Ren's should be ashamed. He's done more for my mental illness with a single song than over 20 years of therapy and medication has, and there are countless others out there who can, and ARE, saying the same. #CNNisthedark #Renisthelight

@@bevc5349 thanks! 😆 And feel free to share those hashtags. We should definitely be drawing as much attention as possible to the idiocy of CNN, as well as the impact Ren has had on us all in such an enormously positive way. We need to send a message to CNN that we'll prosper, because we stand before them today... together. Hope will always win out, because with it, we can be broken and beat...but we will rise. So again... #CNNisthedark #Renisthelight Spread that message. CNN has a lot of reach and influence. Their message could prevent many who need to hear Ren's message miss it...which could deny them what could be the most important message they could ever hear. It could save them when they need to be saved...so we can't let CNN or anyone else prevent that.

@@Veeliscious of course. All I meant is that facing the darkness as if it can be defeated can only serve to destroy our hope. We need to instead BE the light. Fighting to defeat an enemy that can't be defeated will inevitably destroy all hope. Accepting that enemy, but refusing to allow its' darkness to overtake us is what hope is. The harder our lives are, the stronger we can become...but only if we learn to accept the darkness, and remember how to hope. Again... #CNNisthedark. #Renisthelight Spread that message.

Ren is an incredible unique artist with serious messaging in great pop music form. The Hi Ren video in question represents an individual triumphing over personal struggles. As an aside, I find it addictive watching, totally entertaining but heart-tugging. Ren is a master of accessible pop music with messaging.

spoken like a true Ren-egade! that 8s what scares the hell out of them, is that Ren is about unity. when we all stand as one and speak as one there is no recovering from that. they want us bickering about petty stuff, because it is easier to control us that way. Ren gave us a safe place, it is the most positive and caring bunch of wonderful people I have ever found online. CNN is unmasked. you can tell a thousand truths, tell one lie and all of your truths become questionable. ren has integrity. CNN has lies. sucks for them

What bothers me is did they pick his song randomly or because it was trending? Countless artists have rapped/sung on mental health and way worse topics that you can say might "influence" the youth of today that listen. They didn't go after them, but a sick little independent that likely wouldn't give them bad blowback. I hope they weren't that underhanded, but I wouldn't put it past CNN or other media. Glad they are getting plenty of blowback on it.

This shows perfectly how manipulative main stream media can be and mostly is. Taking things completely out of context, to suit their agenda. Ren said it: Criticizing for the sake of criticizing, without any background knowledge. Pretending to care but completely missing the point. Not even bother to dive deeper into a topic or in this case the TikTok Environment

When I stand at a concert, music is an art that brings people across all types, together. The one thing that supports humanity. Understanding the lyrics, is a prime reason for one loving an artist, band, or song. I was recently exposed to REN...and instantly, fell in love. His music is methodical, well thought out and in my book, perfection. We rarely find an artist that can bring every type of musical genre together to make a statement...REN, is that exception. From a rock and metal enthusiast who questioned why her bestie was sending me Hi Ren, by the opening yodeling, to me grabbing a tissue and pursing Ren's other videos, that very moment after thanking my friend for sending me his video, I will agree CNN got this way wrong. Way wrong. I stand with REN, and urge his apology be given by CNN. REN will be an artist that makes a difference in this world...starting with the humanity he has managed to convey in each of his videos. The stories, the way his genre, whatever that genre may be called...is so far off my preferred listening genres, tells me all I need to know about REN, he, is an artist. A rare artist. If one watched all of Hi-Ren, one would know the message he personally conveyed in the closing of his video. A message of HOPE, and Humanity. Yes CNN, you owe Ren, an apology. You got this one, wrong. WE STAND WITH REN! I welcome his videos, his messages, his music, stories...I am a fan. For those focused on TIKTOK in the comments here, refocus. You are getting it just as wrong, as CNN. A kid, 14, should have supervision on their devices. The world is a cruel place for young eyes, but still...this has to fall on the parents to decide best for their kids. Addiction to social medias, that one is all on the parent folks...hate to say it...but you need to be monitoring your kids...not allowing the devices to parent your kid. REN hopes for one thing, I saw in his video he spoke about, he hopes to leave something behind people will resonate with. His songs, his stories, his work, REN, you have done that.

I am a mental health professional and I have shared "Hi Ren" with many of my clients who are struggling as an example of someone who has something profound to say about living with severe mental health conditions. Ren's is a message of HOPE and integrating the shadow into our whole personality. Ren is a healer. CNN and other legacy media is all about making money, not accurately reporting the news. Ren would make a terrific human interest piece for a mainstream media in the old days when news was real, not entertainment. Claire Duffy needs to make a public apology.

MSM is one of the most disgusting, and dangerous mind viruses, of our world. They also have a ton of power. I can only hope that they fade into nonexistence, as their time and place is no longer what it once was. They will fight to stay in power. What concerns me the most, is that they have very powerful people and organizations behind them, who also want to keep the population afraid, and paralyzed.

We need people like you and ren that are okay with being in front of the camera and sharing your feelings through music poetry and through discussion that is meaningful. That's what the world is starving for and that's what mainstream doesn't understand and why they're fighting back so hard right now because they're scared because independent music artists are going viral every single day picking them out of the top spot radio is if not dead in your area seriously dying because they're so stubborn and having this mainstream acceptable view that they're supposed to push. The average American wants music that is both intellectual and entertaining with a good beat not a bunch of drivel

I just saw “Hi Ren” last night. It really hit me hard. I’m a musician, too. All I want to do is record my songs so that when I am dead those who love and care for me can listen to my songs and, in those moments, be “with” me, again. That conversation he has with himself is the very type of conversations I have with myself. So many times, I hate this life, I hate this world. I want to give up, I tell myself that hope is futile. But, it is those few people who do care and or love me that keep me going. But, Ren’s message at the end of the song, really is helpful. I and many people try to fight against our situations instead of rolling with them, coping, and not allowing them to impede us. “Hi Ren” is not just a song, it’s not just a work of art; it’s therapeutic. I’m so glad Ren put his experiences to music and lyric. I’m so glad I finally discovered it. Hopefully it will help many others.

"Hi Ren" is a must listen for me at least once a day to keep me sane. The time we live in; at least in my opinion; is the weirdest time in humans history. When a person with devils thoughts meets a person without them, the person without the thoughts will say something along the line of "Get over it!". Sadly, mental health isn't talked about a lot still, it is surely better than what it was before, but come on.... some people still do not understand sh*t about it.
