You are the real deal Danny. Thanks so much for your tremendous efforts to help others. You truly have the understanding on how it feels to live with Aspergers and sharing your experience will save lives. Hugs Danny.

I replaced the math test example with a group raiding (within an online game). I applied the same concept and it does make sense. "I suck at dps" or "I can't grasp the mechanics of this fight!" I tried to explain it to my husband and he immediately dismissed it (with an attitude). I guess he needs to work on some self issues on this subject. Very stubborn. However, I enjoyed your explanation on the subject of meaning. Good job!

Great presentation. I've been reading PsychoCybernetics and your message captures an important aspect of it. Ascribing intent and meaning is critical to Identity building. I've managed to control a lot of my obsessions, OCD, and self-defeating thoughts (anxiety) through the strategy you mention here. I've never felt more alive than I do now. It's as if I was born with a default setting and have managed to re-program the setting. I still find myself in idiosyncratic rituals and obsessions, but they're not as debilitating.

(opinion) I think it's best if people identify this structure out on their own. Their might be a chance of them subconsciously not accepting the info because it didn't come from them.

Do you mean that he needs to be more concise and land the plane? I feel that way too but I worry that, if he didn't belabor the fine points, normal people wouldn't have any clue what he was talking about. I think normal people really think that if you just "put yourself out there" you can succeed. Normal people can convince themselves that the only possible way you can be hurting so much is if your behavior was grossly aberrant. For instance they might assume that you never leave the house. Then their advice to you is to simply leave the house. Well, the normal person didn't get the problem. They couldn't wrap their mind around the idea that you may in fact be putting in far more effort than they have ever had to. To them your condition must be truly frightening.

The microwave/arrogant generation commenting here. 😂 God bless YOU dear! Story telling and its details help your brain to think and analyzed rather then to have the answers hand it to you. You dont use it, you lose it.
