Someone once said this is THE BEST under-rated and appreciated bands ever----have to agree 100%. Raul's voice is simply amazing!!

This is real country sound not like today's stuff

I like this group especially with Flaco playing the Accordion he is great

I once heard someone describe Flaco as the "Jimi Hendrix" of Tejano Conjunto accordian. That pretty much sums it up.

I just saw the Mavericks in Royal oak Michigan couple weeks ago fabulous if you never seen them do yourself a favor and go check them out.

I LOVED these guys back in the 90's and had a major crush on Raul. 😁 I could listen to The Mavericks all day and never get sick of hearing him sing. Look up his cover of "Crying" by Roy Orbison. Chills.

Al Anderson cowrote this song with Raul Malo. Anderson said that when wrote it he thought it was dumb at first and thought "What the hell is this?' Then I heard the record on the radio, and it was the best - that's my favorite record of all time." Anderson added he and Malo shared a strong song writing partnership: "I'm able to zone in on Raul when it comes to songs. I really enjoy writing with him."
