i think this movie was shit. i remember seeing first movie in 1999. i remember how many thoughts and ideas mainly philosophical once it gave me. the 2nd and 3rd movie was basically dragged by the first one with maby few good moments. but this one had none. this one is just shitty action movie with resurections on the fast and furious level. i mean they not only resurected both neo and trinity but also healed neo eyes which why would they do that. there is literaly no point in healing neo eyes in real world. anyway Laurence and Andrew had good idea but i guess they lost brains along side their balls when they became crossdressers

My favorite quote from the movie was “not all machines want to control”. I feel like the movie could have placed more emphasis on what happened after Neo and trinity sacrificed themselves at the end of Revolutions and how some machines came to join the side of the humans. I’d much prefer a prequel to Resurrection than a sequel.

Neo made the peace agreement with the machines when he exposed the Mr Smith Virus program. This agreement created the reboot of the source code of love for the new matrix that the analyst hijacked for control. That is why the Matrix did not work without Neo and Trinity.

When they jump, Trinity flies because she believes she'll fly. You can tell by looking at her face and body that she's fully expecting to take flight. Neo jumps fully expecting to fall to his death, after being successfully gaslit by the Analyst for the last 6 decades. You can tell because he jumps and flails around like a man expecting to hit pavement. She jumped because she woke up and found Neo, realizing in an instant that a thing she thought was a dream was real. He jumped because he finally felt a shred of peace, and was willing to die to hold onto it one second longer. She represents desire giving way to fear of loss, while he represents fear of loss giving way to desire. It takes time for Neo to come to understand that his "delusions" are reality, but after a period of "deprogramming" he learns to control his powers like before. While Trinity is still relishing in the newness of being a god, and kicking mfs Jaws off for giggles.

Loved what Smith said to Neo toward the end... "The difference between you and I is that anyone can be you, and I can be anyone." I think there is a deep meaning under that statement. In my opinion that is the biggest point of the matrix, is the deep thought process a mind goes through disecting the movies. I'm a huge nerd for The Matrix and loved the film and your explanation! only thing I'd explain differently is the end about Trinity - Neo states in Resurrections that he did not believe in the One (or himself) and that Trinity is what gave him the ability to become the One in the original trilogy as SHE believed in him (and loved him blah blah with the whole Oracle saying she'll fall in love with the One) and it worked. They expand on that in Resurrections here by showing the Trinity also has the ability to become the One now because of her connection with Neo. They both ironically are 'The One' and can only achievement this 'Oneness' or 'Enlightenment' when they are together. It's explicitly show when Trinity is on the roof at the end with Neo before they jump , she gasps looking out at the skyline. During this scene she reaches enlightenment (allowing her to leave the Matrix by flying off with Neo) and she is seeing the Matrix how Neo did in the end of the first one, with the Matrix code everywhere, we see a hint of it from the Matrix code sparking along the buildings and edges in that scene.

  • @bronzethunderbeard1572

    @bronzethunderbeard1572

    2 жыл бұрын

@@O1OO1O1 this is true from the Machines perspective. There are always individuals who can become the “One” due to the imbalance of the equation information that the Architect explains. So yes technically there are no “Ones” but then we just call them Anomalies or whatever. The abilities and effect the anomalies have in the Matrix is what matters. The only thought I have that maybe you aren’t taking into account with Neo was his ability to control/stop machines in the real world at the end of Reloaded. I do not think any of the previous “Ones” from the first 1-6 matrix iterations were able to do this and this is because Neo chose to save Trinity over returning to the source. This created the unique situation where Smith was able to keep growing out of control (giving Neo the leverage to negotiate with the machines) and instead of following the path of the One (that all previous people did) Neo created his own path, the Path of Neo.

The One might also in spiritualism means your twinflame conciousness of belonging to love The One. Huge dynamic in Yin and Yang, but when balanced, the become a power couple. In greek mythology, twinflame is One soul split into two souls. Your twin flame spurt an amount of inspiration for you to improve yourself, mindset, life, conciousness and the meaning of life itself. I needed this explanation. Thank you. I love the Matrix series. Saw it back in 99' in theaters as a young woman. Now, I can fully appreciate it more as an older person. To me whole thing has been a metaphor for all the systems that seek to control our actions. But, now I also see it as a way in which we imprison ourselves from fear, sadness, grieving, pain, and so forth rather than feel actual emotions and choose to let it go. To me the end, represents how light and free from all the negatives we encounter by taking that leap of faith and choosing not to fear what we can't control, including death itself. Hence, resurrection. Not a resurrection from death, but a resurrection from anguish over our temporary existence and life's challenges. Loss and grief are so challenging and awful. I lost my mother over 7byears ago to cancer. She was my guiding light, my compass, my best friend, and the love of my life. I was always okay, because she would be there to listen and to love unconditionally. I miss her terribly and her death brought about such severe loss that it opened the flood gates for so many sad moments and suffering. I'm sure anyone who has experienced severe loss understands. But, you cannot live in the past and I've known I have to live now or what is point. She would want me to. You can know something logically all you want. But, to tie the emotions to the thoughts, to choose to truly let go, is the hardest thing I have done. It initially felt like losing her all over again. But, it's about growth and choosing to feel because it's so very human. We don't have to choose to suffer. Even if life circumstances are challenging, we can control what we think, thereby allowing us to feel differently. I choose life. I think Trinity and Neo chose to live and love despite the losses. Just a slightly different take. I loved this analysis so much. It's cheesy as hell, but love really is all we need. I choose that over fear and loss now. It's time. I look forward to new movies.

I mean fuck even the Bible has been telling people this shit for 2000+ years but the population turned into complete idiots and took the biblical stories literally, saying "omg like, how can, like, someone like, pile 2 of every animal on a boat" not knowing its a story that represents a deeper psychological meaning and not to be taken literally. Now people like you, using a terrible fuckin movie series, are saying the same shit mankind has been saying and knew for centuries, like mankind is just figuring it out. Im glad you were enlightened by Hollywood, but your terrible enlightening has been fucking known since man could think. P.s. losing family sucks and will always suck, but your nor my case of losing family is no more hard or difficult than any other individuals experience. Its a shared experience. I also loved the first movie. Didn't actually understand the second and third. These videos help immensely. I also have lost my mother and father. My mother's loss hit me the hardest. I felt remorse and guilt for a long time - because I could have done more for her at the end and didn't get the chance to. We - the ones who survive - are all disturbed - or tossed around - when events are accelerated and death of a loved happens at the end. More so when our mother dies, I think. To get me out of my 'wallowing' and sense of dread and guilt of being alone - a friend made me repeat - like self -hypnosis or a mantra - the following : Love is real and knows no time limit. Love is eternal. The fact that both my parents are dead changes nothing to the fact my parents happened and loved me and I loved my parents. And still do. Love is eternal and is not affected by life and death. So now, this realization stays with me and ironically - has a calming effect on me. And the sense of guilt and dread of being alone has diappeared. I am alone but not lonely. I can laugh and have fun and enjoy life and have friends and meaningful relationships. I am still traumatised by what heppened in the end - it still impresses me - but the drama is gone. I think of my parents everyday, but not with emotional drama.

I caught it the first time I watched it which was a few days ago.. to me resurrection means to restart from a different perspective. And that's what this movie was about, retelling from a different perspective, so somehow it all connects back to the original storyline. I mean, those who didn't like it are the ones who were used to the original formal of the beginning but it shows exactly where the characters landed after saving the real world. You can't continue a storyline if the storyline ended the way revelations did. I think this was a smart concept tbh. The ones who refuse to use their brains and decipher the whys and hows, just wanted the original concept to satisfy their own narrative and nothing more..🤷🏾‍♀️

If trinity flying was an 'unexpected twist', you haven't been paying attention. Neo has been elevating the 'crew' since the start. Note how in the beginning Morpheus was lucky to even get a hit in on an agent and the rule was "See an agent? RUN!". But once Neo showed agents could be beaten, Morpheus has successfully fought off an agent and Trinity held her own against one. In this movie, Neo's lack of ability was the complete opposite of Trinity just instantly getting her mojo back the very second she decided to. This shows it's all a mental state thing. Neo was still very uncertain about many things and had many, many doubts. He didn't really do that much (and definitely not compared to the old days) until Trinity came back into play. Neo would never have been the one without her and this was also made quite clear. She was also the reason Neo chose a different path from the ones before him. Really, this 'twist' did not surprise me at all. Like, not even in the slightest. I just hope they don't ruin it in the sequels and of course, I hope they somehow get Hugo Weaving back.

Since the first Matrix, the Oracle foretold Neo and Trinity's connection, which could raise many more metaphysical questions such as, who were they in previous iterations of the matrix. Without going too far into the question of choice, my interpretation of their newfound powers were from the rebuilding scene when Neo and Trinity were being rebuilt. It appeared that parts of one another were shared. Another theory was that anyone could become "the one" if they could unlock the matrix and "see" the way Neo sees. I also hope Laurence Fishburne makes an appearance in the future. The two of them are iconic. My main critique is the action. The hand-to-hand combat scenes were a letdown. Too much camera movement and too many close-ups. The original gave us wide shots that lingered so we could see everything, and that was the smart choice.

I miss those actors as well, but it makes sense why Laurence Fishburne's version of Morpheus didn't return since he died in a canonical game (even if it's a shame some movie-goers weren't able to witness it), and this younger incarnation is just a program. Although, it could be argued if they found a reason to story-wise he could also be resurrected in the same way Neo & Trinity were. They acknowledged his passing in Resurrections, and paid tribute to him at least though. Agent Smith had transferred himself to another host before, and in this case he's just not that Smith anymore because it's a different Matrix loop. His previous form was deleted when he tried to copy himself onto Neo who was connected to the Matrix's source. Not sure they'll ever go back to Hugo Weaving's version of the Matrix so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Edit: Just to clarify, not all negative reviews of this film are for clicks. There are legitimate criticisms out there as it is far from a perfect movie. For me, it’s a mixed bag. Some things I liked, other things not so much. I think it’s hyperbole to say it’s complete garbage but to each his own. We’re all entitled to our opinions and for those of you who hated it, it’s too bad that it turned out to be a disappointment for you. I was mostly praising this video for reviewing the movie and explaining the plot as opposed to other videos that I believed were going to an extreme with titles like “complete disaster” and whatnot as they seemed to be very clickbaity to me.

The only thing that was confusing to me was how the modal and the Matrix were part of the same thing, but a second viewing cleared that up for me too. There is one aspect of your analysis that I disagree with: why Trinity can fly. The Analyst says that individually Neo and Trinity were nothing special, but together they were great. Going back to the first film, Trinity brought Neo back to life with a kiss. In Reloaded he flies faster than he's ever flown because he's on his way to save her. In Revolutions he's powerless in the train station until Trinity comes to save him. It seems it was never about a "One," but rather about two who become One. A divine Syzygy, so to speak. Anima and Animus. Anyway, great video and great explanations for everything!

i agree with you on the two becoming one. as an ex bible student i belieive there was a scripture that says that the two, male and female, will join together and become one with each other, that is what has happened form what i have researched, that is why there is talk of finding your soulmate, the other half of your male or female counter part so that you can become one with each other and become part of the ONE with source. that is why we are having so many divorces because women get married to procreate and then later in life when the children are grown they want out of the relationships because their mate does not eqate to their other half like neo and trinity do, there was a movie called the fifth element with bruce willis and it showed that love was the missing element that was needed to fix things and that is what is missing in most relationships today, love for each other keeps things together, no love no relationship just a living arrangement, been there done that,

It's not so much Neo carries the source code, he is the integral anomaly of all the errors of the Matrix that is then put into one human which in the original trilogy was to culminate in the path of the "One" bringing those errors back to the Source to reset the Matrix. Him returning to the source would balance the equation once again of the Matrix which is what the Architect was talking about. Neo is not the one, just the anomaly and he also transfers that code to Smith in the first movie and also Trinity when he reaches in her and brings her back to life, which is why the three of them seemingly have powers.

He could either leave or stay, which is a theme that he ran across the entire movie, Neo could only take the blue or red pill, he could only stay or leave the jail cell in IO, he could only fight or run from Smith. No matter what Neo did he only had 2 choices really the entire movie. There're more instances throughout the movie, but that seems to be the overarching theme. The binary choice given to Neo and what he decides from there, that is until Trinity truly comes into play. Then between the both they decide what happens, they are no longer the programs, they become the designers.

Question, when they are brainstorming the M.I.V. game in the office, and they showed different scenes of them talking about what the original Matrix, was that a loop as part of the actual Matrix? Or, just different scenes from the same time period in the movie?

I don't think it was a time freezing ability... I think the Analyst and Smith are able to move so fast it seems like everything else is still. If you watch the other characters, they are ever so slowly moving... nearly frozen, but not quite. You can really notice it when Trinity's leg is moving... the bullet goes through the apple, etc... and also that they can still communicate with Neo. Neo understands/hears them, but he's too messed up and confused to move as fast... which kinda explains why he can't fly anymore.

Additional meaning for IO - if you've watched the Animatrix (which I understand to be sort of canon), the original machine city is named 01. So if you mirror that number and convert to letters that it most looks like, you get the human-machine fusion name IO. Your points are interesting (and correct), I just thought I'd throw out this extra tidbit.

Well since Bugs' ship is called "Mnemosyne" (according to greek mythology the mother of the Greek Muses) I figured that "Io" was another Greek reference to the myth of Io and how she was a transformed and eventually hidden-away princess; symbolic of the hidden human city. It wouldn't be the first time they used greek references in the movies.

To really understand this movie one must undertand the occult and the alchemical marriage. True power comes from marrying the two opposites, it's about balance. Love conqours all. It also speaks to the division we see in todays society. Left vs right etc. The Analyst represents the elites who control us through manipulation and division. This causes us to waste our energy fighting with eachother, rather than focusing on the real threat. This movie is a lot like the first one in that you will have to watch it several times and really analyze it to get the full message. Also, thevreaction to this movie highlights the division going on in our society and how it affects our perceptions. Some say woke trash, some say right wing propaganda, all based on their preconcieved notions and the opinions of others. This was the Matrix movie we needed. The real Matrix is winning people, wake up.

It would appear that Trinity and Neo are now collectively 'The One,' perhaps mirroring Lana's own transition, as some muse, but something is still missing. We can't see it, yet, but it's there, like a splinter in our minds. Reloaded and Revolutions showed us entirely new layers to the larger world that was The Matrix (original). Clearly, Resurrections was designed to do the same, but what if the entire film was not as it appeared? Might Lana have placed us all in a Matrix within a Matrix in Resurrections, to dream Neo's dream, ending as it began, like a dream? Because it was. Perhaps it's not that "Tom" created the Matrix films and a popular video game called The Matrix, as Resurrections wants to show us - it's that his newly revealed "real life" is a dream program still running within the Architect's "measure of control," and overseen by the Analyst, who very well might be the Architect himself playing the role of Tom's analyst within the Modal. This would mean Trinity is still dead, and Tiffany/Trinity is nothing but a "resurrected" NPC within the Modal, giving Neo purpose, but an empty one. Perhaps the Machines are testing out various Modals to see which version could never be escaped by anyone, including Neo, with the Architect still attempting to create the perfect Matrix overall, as it were. The line in Resurrections where Neo says, "I've had dreams that weren't just dreams," as well as what the Analyst tells him about his current "reality" are strong clues. This would explain the strangely disjointed, campy, dream-like theme to Resurrections itself. The entire film is not a prequel, but a computer-generated dream (that we each experienced) designed to expose the Anomaly's weaknesses so that all future "One's" would never expose the Machines own weaknesses, as Neo did. The Machine's knowing Trinity was a strong factor in Neo's power, would of course seemingly "resurrect" her to test Neo's abilities, hence the film's name. The Machines would be in need of an answer as to how Neo manifested in power to the point he did, if only to prevent another Anomaly from ever challenging the Machines to the extent he did. I heard there won't be a sequel, but if there were, we may find out the crushing reality that the Matrix is still a dark, cyberpunk world, where Morpheus and the Oracle still exist and are still trying to find Neo, as Neo slumbers somewhere deep within the Machine world being unwittingly experimented on by the Architect. Indeed, this sounds exactly like the thinking of a machine to me.

  • @RoseJetExhaust

Interesting. Surely, the machines having absolute control over the Matrix and their respective systems, could possibly have created many layers to trap Neo in. I refuse to believe that the Matrix is simply one layer where Neo and others can break out relatively easily - in this movie once more, I was baffled by how "easy" it was for the others to fool the machines and free Neo again. My personal interpretation is a more pessimistic one - the machines are toying with layers of simulation, letting some humans believe they are out, having taken their red pills and fighting for their real world. In actuality, they still hold all the strings. But that's only what I imagine it to be, the subjectivity of art prevails once more.

Bruh the initial story is about humanity rejecting the machines and refuse to acknowledge Thier sentience and wage war on them. The machines defend themselfand try to coexist until humanity block the entire sun with the intention of starving the robot power source. This made the machine piss off, go full on evil on old humanity. Ironically using human is power fuel because it's "organic renewables" and out of pure spite base on how they were treated. The trilogy resolve this hate by neo help on stopping Smith from destroying the matrix for the machine, forgiving old humanity sin. Giving all human outside peace with the machine. The new movie finally show the (some) machine integrate with humanity and working towards building back earth.

I just watched Resurrections for the second time, and I'm still uncertain exactly how to feel about it. On one hand I like that Neo and Trinity finally get their happily ever after, but another part of me thinks it's too typical of an old Hollywood love story where boy meets girl, boy loses girl, and finally boy gets girl back and their love is forever blissful and happy. That's just my conflict about the main theme of the movie; it's all about Neo and Trinity and their undying love. But then there's something about the feel of the movie itself. Somehow it seems less like a Matrix movie, and more like a Marvel movie. Not that that's bad, per se. Depending on how you feel about Marvel movies. My daughter, for example, is a huge Marvel fan, and she loved Resurrections. I'm a bit less of one, and I'm still not sure what to think. Overall I think I liked it more than disliked it, but I also felt a little bit underwhelmed by it.

Neo and Trinity died but were "resurrected" by the machines who "needed" them to recreate the Matrix with a higher energy output (think voltage booster) especially as those who want out of the Matrix and presumably sentient programming that wants out of the Machine world and to live as an "avatar" within the Matrix (think Sati, Rama Chandra and Kamala and their deal with the train man). The result was fewer active "pods" so the Machines were at war with each other. They fought over the plan for resources. Some wanted to subjugate ALL of humanity again. Some wanted to cooperate with humans. The subjugators won and purged all the programs/machines that were pro cooperation. A few escaped and became like Morpheus consciousness contained with physical entity held together by electromagnetic fields. And also...Neo and Trinity have shells that the rest of the Matrix sees as entirely different individuals than what Neo and Trinity really look like. And to make Neo accept the program world, they made all the Matrix awakening stuff into a video game that Thomas Anderson (Neo's original 'Matrix' identity) designed so as to make any recollections of Neo's true identity seem like it's his mind confusing his video game stuff with reality. Hence, the blue pill regimen. Truly FAR TOO MUCH to pack into one movie. They should have done a 10 episode arc on HBO Max.

No one ever ask: If machines need humans to be their 'batteries' where do HUMANs who are freed from Matrix find the energy??

so many people are hating this movie into oblivion but I actually enjoyed it. it always comes down to a comparison of the first film and how it should have ended there. nothing will ever capture the charm of the 1st and though this has its flaws I think it's a welcomed edition. I watched all 3 films and the animatrix b4 this and it fit in nicely with the lore.

that just isnt true. it doesnt fit at all, how could it when it mocks and destroys all of the previous lore?

@@michaelfarkas2257 it is true. It fits perfectly. We learned in the first one that there have been multiple simulations aka a new matrix. The matrix is code and this is a new matrix with new code and you and people like you act like a typical blue pill crying over this. How pathetic is this? It's very pathetic. I'm so sick of all of you. You learned as we all did that no one can be told what the matrix is. To do this is soo childish. You keep doing it. It's going to be different things to everyone. I believe it's time for all of you to understand this current modal for what it is and evolve.

Wow. This was a very well put together video, and proof that this film had more going on under the surface, just like the original trilogy. Third best of the franchise for me.
