It was more attractive to watch. You had players who were that good, like Ronaldo, Nani, Tevez, Rooney, etc. who actually had fun playing. Now, the premier league is about being a more intense athlete but not necessarily a better player. No elegance and beauty in the game.

It's crazy how dominant United was back then. And now we look like a shell of our former self

Because Rooney was always the bloody 2nd fiddle, while he had the ability to be the main man. This match was not against a top team so he got the oppurtinity to score goals, which unfortunately he didn't. 50% of the reason why Ronaldo was the best player that year was Rooney.
