That's true, but due to the fact on how bloody the mask was, they decided to make it more kid friendly… sort of.

What a classic. I been watching this movie from childhood to adulthood. First movie I ever went to see in 1994 when I was 8. I seen it a million times. Jim carrey is so talented and very funny. This brings back so much nolstalgia.

it's funny you mentioned the Ghostbusters because the garage was the same set that Ghostbusters used for their firehouse interior.

Dont know if someone said this but I believe there was a Cartoon series based on this on Fox. Also this movie is based off of a comicbook that is very much darker than this movie was.

You have most likely seen Amy Yasbeck (Peggy) in Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Even though it was a dream, they still filmed that scene where Cameron had to lick Jim's ear XD ;P

One of my favorite Jim Carrey movies (another is How The Grinch Stole Christmas). He's got some soul for singing. Only Jim Carrey can do justice to the green face and horse teeth. Damn you Jamie Kennedy, for giving us the rancid garbage pile called "The Son Of The Mask"

Noooooo the sequel sucked. There was gonna be a sequel to the Mask in the 90s but Jim Carrey didn't want to do a sequel. There was a sequel called Son of the mask (2005) but it sucked big time. None of the original actors of The Mask weren't even in it
