IDEPENDENCE DAY (1996) | Movie Reaction | Aliens | Will Smith | Jeff Goldblum | Invasion 👽🛸👽

Ойын-сауық

#IndependenceDay #WillSmith #JeffGoldblum
Independence Day the greatest movie in 1996 this film speaks on Aliens which we love that talk, but Aliens come to earth to take its resources and this movie gives a glimpse maybe of how the real world would handle it and boy it was action packed seeing the White House explode along with other national monuments was crazy as hell and it was crazy to see how they were at Area 51 and all of the whole shabang
In the end they find a way to take down the aliens using a virus that messes up all of the signals between different alien space crafts over the world and puts their defenses down long enough for everyone to attack
Again a great action packed movie and we enjoyed

I saw this at a late night showing on July 2nd with a bunch of my friends. When Jeff Goldblum started hacking the mothership, my friend shouted "give them Windows 95!" the full theater started laughing hard. Also the mothership explosion was probably big because nuke + chain reaction with the tech that powered their stuff.

The mothership was the size of Texas! So when it blew, the chain reaction of the immense technology of what's inside, made the explosion far bigger. The plane was a miniature and not CGI. Most of the shots in the film are of large scale miniatures, with CGI added around it, like the force fields. Great reactions to a classic. Saw this in 96 and was truly amazed by it.

1995, 1996, and 1997 were great years for Will Smith. Bad Boys(1995), Independence Day(1996), and Men in Black(1997).

Good reaction. And if you didn't know, the actor who portrayed Dr. Okun (the crazy, excited doctor/scientist who got choked and killed off by that alien) is Brent Spiner, the very guy who played Lt. Cmdr. Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation and in the subsequent ST:TNG movies (Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek: Nemesis).

The weakest point of this movie a lot of people have a problem with is that scene Will Smith opens up the alien spaceship and punches the alien. And I can understand why people laugh at it. But I've kinda made my own explanation for that scene. Remember the scientist in Area 51 who's been studying these aliens for decades said the alien bodies are just as fragile as ours? And just having crashed the spaceship, I think the alien in the spaceship is either injured or disoriented. That's why Will Smith was able to knock it unconscious with one hard punch. So that's my explanation.

Ohh, speaking of the use of miniatures for destructions…have y’all watched ‘Dante’s Peak’?? If you haven’t, I’d definitely suggest reacting to it!! It’s about a volcano by a small mountain town that erupts. It stars Pierce Brosnan & Linda Hamilton & is such a fantastic movie, at least in my humble opinion.

“Anal probing wasn’t always a huge thing,” says Neil Nixon, ufologist and author of UFOs, Aliens and the Battle for the Truth: A Short History of Ufology. “One of the people who definitely promoted the idea was Whitley Strieber. Communion, the first of his two books about abductions, has references to that kind of thing in the account he gives. He wasn’t the first, but Communion was a massive-selling book, and that put rocket boosters under the whole idea really.”

I thought the effects were really good when the ships were blowing up & incinerating the cities at the beginning. I remember watching this when I was younger & just being blown away, no pun intended lmao, by how it really looked like those buildings/cities were being destroyed. I love the use of miniatures more than some of the CGI stuff we get nowadays, at least when it’s done really well

The real life Area 51 could not put the ship back together because it had been blown to bits in the crash. Also, in real life, they recovered the remains of 4 aliens, not 3.

My first video on your channel. Fun reaction. Gave you a new sub. I agree with you that we need a “Bill Pullman type President” cause right now, if this situation happened with our current leaders, there wouldn’t be any doing what’s best for everyone. The people we have in charge of us right now would be like “ummmm….let’s get ourselves outta here, f*ck all those peon citizens. After we’re safe, how can we make money off this?”. Lol! Man we’re screwed if aliens decide to make an appearance. We are on our own. Going to go check out your library. Keep it up, good luck with your channel
