They should be very proud of themselves! The VFX was a big step up in this one. We take VfX artists for granted but they helped make the best franchise

I’m watching the marvels now for the first time and I actually like it. The villain is bad and the special effects aren’t always great. However there’s some rlly cool creative choices all the performances r great. And… The characterisation of these 3 ladies and mrs marvels family is great. I love that it’s got Captain marvel being the aunt to ms marvel Monica didn’t have, makes all the characters complement each other. Leads to certain moments actually landing. It’s not amazing or anything but doesn’t deserve hate, I’d still be proud I made it.

I geniunly feel like the movie is underrated as hell it's so much fun and improvment from the first movie

Fun! I noticed the VFX Supervisor made reference to Ms Marvel's powers not looking stretchy and Monica not turning invisible. Interesting considering Ms Marvel's powers were initially stretchy and I saw people referencing Invisible Woman from F4 with Monica's powers.

Monica is capable of both invisibility and intangibility, but it can get confusing if both effects happen at the same time, so the transparent effect was a good compromise. Those that compared Monica to Invisible Woman were definitely selling her short, she's capable of so much more.

I need Monica to always glow like that final scene now 🤩

I enjoyed the movie. Then again, I've always been open and accepting a change. Seems like some people just want to be stuck in that rut. I even understood their entanglement and a lot of times that's where marvel loses me is in those kind of details. It was over before I wanted it to be and I was completely satisfied with the movie. Peace!

This movie was great and the surprise ending was excellent. Kinda regret not going to see it in theaters now. The villain was a little "one note" though.

I didn't know that's how they filmed flight from movies. It gives me a lot of Hope for future movies like X-Men.

The final fight scene was superb

You had me until the end where she described the film as exciting for having 3 female heroes, a female villain and a female directing/producing team. How dare you not give adequate credit to Goose!! THE main female hero of the movie!

It's so awesome to see REAL love and potential in this film; the same folks that hated the marvels are the same types that didn't agree to see the hocus pocus release in 93. (Also the lowet box iffice) That didnt become a cult favorite until kids raved about it watching on disney channel years 97 and 98

I actually enjoyed the movie the only problem I had was the villain it just felt forced a little bit and when Carol explains why the villain is the way she I think it was rushed there was no full backstory with the villain and carol I just wished they did more on backstory than the main story. Also they could have also did a little more explaining with Monica’s power for those who didn’t watch the shows (Yes Ive seen WandaVision I meant for those who haven’t) But that’s just me

I am impressed they allow the comment section to function. Powers, special effects, costumes; they are only skins that make the audience care about drama and the story. Here is how I think this movie could have worked. The story has to focus on Captain Marvel in the first act, how she is put through shame and public pressure throughout the Galaxy. That people of all age groups and many races are afraid of her. Even people from other planets who she admire denounce her. A soldier that does what she believe as righteous without her own PR and her own powerful collective makes her an outlaw. That would have the audience to sympathies her position, even though an ageless solder woman from the 90s is not relatable like Peter Parker and Bruce Banner are. Such plot can also establish the vastness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which it's never black and white like it is in Civil War. The introduction of Kamala and Black Girl Magic have to happen through Nick Fury scenes. He has to be the one because movie goer knows him but not the other two. Suppose the plot of protagonist and antagonist stay more or less the same. The movie need to have the white hair black woman with fake eyes to come across as a necessary evil that her people need. More screen time need to be spent on her. There must be certain level of justice a leader of a people would fight for. Justice which audience of our own unjust world can relate to. She is not alien looking enough, unlike Thanos, and the Accuser from the first Guardian of the Galaxy. Then Nick Fury would do more than just a Token Black Guy. He would train Kamala and Black Girl Magic to work with Captain Marvel as an effective leader would. His Kree wife needs to make an appearance on this movie to make this strong man wholesome and the MCU richer. The training it-self could be plenty fun to watch. Semi-cat fight, generational gaps, cultural gapes between white black and muslim, disagreement on slang, and eventually genuine friendship that Friends the sitcom is known for, but with superheroes, in space. That sing and dance scene with the korean star, it was poorly shot. Not even a single close up. that was a seriously waste of Briel Larson's talent. She could have sung live and break a leg. Marvel studio could have made her a disney princess in space in the MCU, but they didn't. Epic missed opportunity. Could have given her new ability such as hyper sonic blast, but they didn't. The final showdown would have Captain Marvel to redeem her-self in the eye of the galaxy. The antagonist could have changed her mind because the Korean character in space did something nice for her people. Unlike the route this movie takes, just good old Good vs Evil that comes out of nowhere. Thank you Marvel, we had a good run.

Apparently she was the successor of Ronan the accuser? The guy who died fighting the guardians of the galaxy?

Kamala's powers aren't designed to be stretchy? Isn't her power in the comics her body's malleability?

To be honest this movie isn't as bad as people say it is, its not perfect but its not bad its like a 6/10 maybe 7/10 movie the first 30 minutes of the movie felt kinda rushed but besides that it had great cgi and great world building which the newer movies also lacked in. The concept of the powers being connected was realy cool , also the quantum bands and exploring ms marvel powers was the best thing about this movie so in short Ms Marvel carried.

BEST MARVEL MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always bizarre to me to see the VFX breakdowns where you have a REAL stunt person doing a REAL slide on camera, and it looks great! All you have to do is add the energy effects around them, but instead they decide to completely replace the real tangible person with a digital double... Why? If the character is doing something not physically possible, I get it. But why when they are doing a small hand movement, jump, or slide across the floor? You've gotta stop pissing money away on these things, Marvel, especially on unnecessary effects that cost so much time and money for something you already did practically. It's making these budgets gigantic and bloated, and you aren't seeing the return at the box office lately. Scale it back, tell character driven stories instead of giant CGI-fests. The fans will thank you for it.

Remember Spiderman climbing up the Washington monument and T'challa walk up the hill with arms out say he's not dead? In the trailer for those films both wear practical and its simple movement. At the 11th hour the producers though it looked crap and said to the overworked VFX team "Looks crap, we need to replace it, photoshop their face onto a digital body we don't have time to get the actors back in." This is pathetic behaviour that hurts the film and VFX team.
