I love watching Marty. If he has a guest who built country music he gives them the respect they deserve. His show has so many of the founders of country music--which makes his show one of a kind. The historical record he has developed is priceless.

Several years ago I rode my motorcycle all the way from Louisville Kentucky down 31E all the way to Tennessee. I went to Earl Scruggs house. I rode by. The gates were open. I wish I would have stopped and knocked on his door. Just to thank him and shake his hand. Now I don’t have that chance.❤

I Thank GOD for Marty Stuart and his beautiful Bride, i have learned so much through Marty.i have the books he produced and i love the history of music in general.but Marty brings it to the front row,i live close to Bakersfield and had the honor of seeing them there. They all signed my guitar. And i watched the PBS special Country Music and saw Marty on that Ken Burns makes the best documentaries ever,i have learned alot from Marty.Chris Scruggs tears that pedal less steel up, Kenny just kicks back and plays everything,Handsome Harry and the beat goes on.No leader in my mind all are brothers in Music, boy i would hate to be a judge between Ricky Skaggs and Marty they are two of the best!!!!!!!!We gonna have to have a play off between them two.Now that would be a show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earl generally played guitar on the slow songs because his banjo lacked the tone & sustain needed at a slower tempo. He kept his banjo head notoriously tight to give it that sharp, edgy sound, but it just doesn't work on ballads.

Hello Darlin nice to see ya, it`s been a long time.... Whispering Bill just always knows the perfect thing to say, made me cry anyway.

Anyone know what year this was broadcast on RFD channel? Got to be one of the best episodes ever of Marty's show w/ Earl Scruggs as his guest. And now Marty's got Earl's super talented grandson Chris playing bass in his band. Only thing better would be to get Paul Martin back with his million-watt smile, great voice and bass playing and let Chris move to the steel guitar as he is a master of it. Oh how I wish.

@@johnlawrence2757 It's the Bible that tells us we must believe the Gospel of the grace of God because of the Cross of Christ. He has also given the responsibility to those who believe that message, as broken as we are, to share that same message. I am merely expressing my desire, hoping they believe that Gospel and are not merely singing a song like any other song.
